I recently bought an apartment on Poundbury through this firm of estate agents.
At all times Peter Grout Smith and his team kept me fully up to date and any problems were quickly and efficiently sorted.
I had previously failed to complete on 3 other potential homes but having someone like Peter who knows the Poundbury market so well I can thoroughly recommend their services, knowledge and skills.

Steve and Isobella from the Bridport office have been an incredible duo, leading to the successful sale of my property in challenging market conditions. I received regular updates throughout the marketing and conveyancing process and nothing was too much trouble for them. Isobella in particular went above and beyond once the sale was agreed, to make sure administrative issues were dealt with in my absence, due to being remote from the property.

Firstly, I have to say, Symonds & Sampson didn't sell our property, (long story), BUT Daniel was amazing. His help and advice was far superior to the help and advice we received off Callum from Goadsbys estate agents, who were selling our property. Callum did more to help our buyers than he did to help us. After the first viewing, Goadsbys advice was to drop the price of our property.
Throughout the whole process of selling our property, I had to chase Callum for updates. When I rang to speak with him, I was told 'he's currently out, but will call you back once he's back in the office.
We got to the stage where we went to Symonds and Sampson and asked them to sell for us.
Once they had our property on their books, Goadsbys rang to say they had a buyer.
We were messed about constantly by Goadsbys.
We went to Daniel for advice several times, he was brilliant. He helped us far more than Callum. I can't thank Daniel enough for helping us through what was a very long and arduous time.
Bear in mind, Symonds and Sampson were NOT our estate agents.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nicky from Symonds & Sampson when searching for a new place to rent, and I must say, it made the whole moving process a fair bit easier than I’d bargained for. From the off, Nicky was quick off the mark, introducing me to properties that matched my letting requirements.

What stood out was how influential she was in the decision process, but never pushy—she gave me proper space and time to think it over, ensuring I was choosing the right place for myself and my family.

The wider Symonds & Sampson team were solid too. Communication with the rest of the team was friendly and mostly smooth. The handover of keys and paperwork was handled efficiently.

I did notice, now and then, that with the team juggling a heavy workload and the odd bit of job-sharing, some details slipped through the net. That said, the overall experience was still very positive and left me feeling confident about using Symonds & Sampson again when the need arises.

All in all, if you’re looking for someone who will look after your interests, keep things friendly and straightforward, I’d recommend Nicky and her team. Top job, cheers!

The staff at Symonds & Sampson Ilminster were consistently outstanding: efficient, supportive, light hearted and endlessly reassuring. I have moved house multiple times over a long life but these guys outshone any previous estate agents. To summarise in 2 words: they cared. I would make a special mention of first and foremost Jonathon and also Georgie and Julie.

Matt and the team were supportive from the very beginning of the process, when we didnt purchase the house we were hoping to buy they were kind and compassionate. We never felt like there were any showy sales pitches, just genuine care and consideration.

We sold with S&S quickly and they always felt invested in the process for us. We found the home we wanted to buy and Matt was exceptionally proactive in chasing the chain which helped relive (some!) stress. We cant thank you all enough Beaminster Symonds and Sampson! It is well known that buying a house is up there as one of the three most stressful things you can do in life. Part of the stress is caused by many Estate Agents not seeming to realise that while they are selling a house, we are buying a home. As part of the buying process, it has been a very real pleasure to experience the helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding staff at S & S Yeovil. It was easy to arrange the viewing, which was conducted by Mrs. V. C, who was pleasant, friendly, and very helpful. We didn't feel rushed and had time to 'feel the property put ot's arms round us'. Other contacts with the Branch have produced the same helpful approach.

We were selling a listed thatch cottage which is quite niche and would not appeal to everyone. However Caroline’s team managed to find us a buyer and held our hands through the process to completion. I would happily recommend them if you’re looking to sell your house.

We dealt with the residential sales team when buying a cottage in Beer. Their local branch was in Axminster. They were excellent, very friendly helpful and professional. If we ever sell we would ask them to handle the sale

Great professional service by all at the bridport office.

Efficient, professional and friendly experience when selling our bungalow. Ryan at the Blandford Forum office kept us up to date with regular communication. The whole process from initial marketing through viewings and on to sale was speedy and the hiccups which did occur were dealt with swiftly and effectively.

My partner and I recently bought our very first property at auction with Symonds & Sampson on the 16th of May, and the whole experience was genuinely brilliant. As first-time buyers, the process felt quite overwhelming at times, but the team went above and beyond to support us.

We only viewed the property two weeks before the auction and completely fell in love with it. From that moment on, Shula was absolutely incredible – always friendly, quick to respond to all our calls and emails, and genuinely lovely to speak with.
