Collingwood downlights…

I purchased the Collingwood downlights from Superlec and was initially contacted the same week to say they were awaiting stock, which was expected to arrive the following Wednesday — exactly one week from our conversation. Based on that update, I was happy to wait.

However, after receiving no dispatch confirmation or further communication, I contacted the company myself only to be told that the downlights would now not be available until July at the earliest.

What I find most disappointing is not just the delay itself, but the complete lack of communication. A delay of a few days is understandable, but a delay of nearly two months without any proactive update to the customer is unacceptable. At no point did anyone contact me to explain the situation or offer any alternatives.

I’m not sure what level of customer service Superlec normally aims to provide, but this experience has been extremely poor and frustrating from start to finish. Customers should not have to chase for basic information regarding orders they have already paid for.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be purchasing from Superlec again and would not recommend them to others.

I am very sorry for the experience you have received from ourselves unfortunately the manufacturer had significant delays which caused ourselves to be unable to process your order. You should have been contacted regarding this but our manufacturer didn't let us know about the further delays. We will be putting processes in place to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Not the best first time shopping…

Not the best first time shopping experience with Superlec direct.
My Order arrived within two days, great! but order was wrong (sent polished chrome sockets/switches instead of satin chrome).
Had to chase them up after a few days and not hearing any updates, superlec apologised and said that they likely had been waiting on stock but I was not told this at the time!
The replacement (swap of items) finally arrived today, a week after my initial complaint, however, this order again was not correct, short of one switch but they sent an extra socket.
Credit due to the person I spoke to today who apologised (again) and promised to send out the missing switch.
Meanwhile I’ve sourced a switch locally to get the job finished as it will likely be early next week before the missing switch arrives.
Maybe just my bad luck this time but I (and my customers) can’t afford to wait days for returned/wrong orders.
Ah well, back to CEF it is.

Paid £5 for uk delivery

Paid £5 for uk delivery - still not arrived over a week later.
Courier company unable to find address- every other courier company have had no problems at all.
Had to send ‘what 3 words’ to courier company and still not delivered.
Useless and very poor service.

I found the website ordering rather…

I found the website ordering rather difficult. I filled in which I thought was all the boxes, only to be informed after a telephone conversation that I had missed the small box asking again for the postcode.
On the plus side the price was very competitive, after ordering on Monday noon, the order was delivered on Wednesday pm. All round very good 😊

No communication, order still not recieved

Placed order a month ago, items still show as in stock on website but order status just shows as "on backorder"
No items dispatched, and no response to multiple emails despite claims of replying within 2 business days.

As Brucie used to say 'The price is right.

Excellent service and delivery.
I needed some specialist cables (0.5mm tri-rated singles. Most don't sell it (apart from RS, but their prices....)
They came next day and the 'job was a good un.
proper pricing - the lot.
I would recommend them and it will be the first place I look next time.

Works every bit as well as the original charger for a reasonable price.
I was very happy with the free next day delivery on Prime. Reasonably priced too.
