Great products and offers, but online customer service is their downfall
I’ve always liked Superdrug for their products and they often have really good offers, but their online customer service is seriously their downfall.
I had to chase them for an update on my original order, and when I did, I was told it had been dispatched despite the Evri tracking clearly showing that they were still waiting to receive the parcel. After repeatedly chasing this, I was eventually sent a replacement and told it would be sent via Next Day Order & Collect. Despite this, the replacement remained “being processed” and was not even dispatched within the timeframe I was given.
I repeatedly explained that I was relocating and had an absolute deadline for collecting the order. Instead of anyone taking ownership, I was passed between multiple advisers and received virtually the same scripted response each time. Even when I asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded, or for the issue to be escalated to someone who could authorise this, my request was ignored and I was simply told to continue waiting.
I’ve wasted an unbelievable amount of time chasing an order and explaining the same situation over and over again. Superdrug has great products and genuinely good offers, but their online customer service is their downfall. The lack of communication, ownership and ability to give straightforward answers or resolve a simple issue has been incredibly disappointing.
