I visited Stoneacre Volvo Stockton yesterday intending to purchase a Volvo EX30 on a Business Contract Purchase scheme. What followed was an appalling display of both negligence and ignorance from both the sales consultant and the dealership manager.
I was offered a finance deal at 2.9% APR without a free electric charger. Having a gut feeling to double-check the figures before signing, I delayed the purchase to verify the official rates. To my absolute shock, Volvo’s national website currently advertises 0% APR alongside a free electric home charger with installation. Had I signed on the spot yesterday, this dealership's failure to know their own manufacturer promotions would have cost me over £4,000.00 unnecessarily.
When I contacted the dealership today to clarify this massive discrepancy, both the sales consultant and the manager were still completely oblivious to Volvo's active, official offer. It is frankly bewildering that staff at a franchised main dealer—whose sole job is to know and sell Volvo vehicles—are this clueless about current manufacturer deals.
To top off an already shocking experience, the manager did not even have the courtesy or professional etiquette to offer an apology.
If you are considering buying a car from Stoneacre Volvo Stockton or Stoneacre for that matter consider this a stern warning: double-check every single figure, APR rate, and offer yourself on the main Volvo website before signing anything. Their team will happily overcharge you thousands through sheer lack of knowledge . Absolute failure of customer care on the part of Stoneacre.

I had seen a car online and contacted Stoneacre to enquire if it was still available. I soon received an email from the manager, Curtis, and then an email with a video from Luke.
The car was ready for a test drive when I arrived and I decided to buy it - fortunately, it was available to drive away the next day.
Luke was a great salesperson to work with - answered all my questions, knowledgeable about the car and let me know all the different options and extras available, without being pushy. Extra thanks to the team for looking after us and having patience while we sorted out a missing bank transfer.
I would be happy to deal with Stoneacre Worksop again, and will recommend them to others.

Vehicle was originally scheduled for delivery in May but delayed until August. No updates from dealer on delay or when date was finalised - had to chase each step of the way.
On delivery date I called at 4pm as no word of arrival time. Was told 5.30 to 6.00pm arrival. Showed up at 6.30pm. Again, not even the courtesy of a call to let me know about the delays.

I’ve had issues with Stoneacre since November 2025, and after months of fighting with their Standards Department, they finally apologised for the injustice done.
But the problems didn’t stop there.
In July 2026, I went back for a simple oil change. Whatever they did was wrong — while driving, I lost all engine oil. The warning came too late, and the car became unsafe to drive.
I had to call SEAT Roadside Assistance, who confirmed the oil loss and provided emergency help. This should never happen after a professional oil service.
So anyone planning to have work done at this specific Stoneacre workshop — be extremely careful. My experience shows that even basic maintenance can be mishandled with dangerous consequences.

I dealt with George at Doncaster who was lovely, professional, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. For me it was the fact that he wasn’t a pushy in your face car sales man which made my experience better.

We could not have been treated better. Liam understood our requirements and restrictions and we have ended up with a nice car to replace our old bander. We did our first long run today and it performed better than I expected.

First class service, I was a drop in, no appointment made. Liam made me feel welcome, we sat down, he took my details and what I was looking for, within 45mins a deal had been agreed. From me 1st entering the show room I was made welcome and Liam, Rob & Richard explained everything clearly. Well done everyone 👍. Deal agreed Tuesday, received my brilliant Ford Puma ST X Friday

Adam was really helpful, during the buying process, we looked at a few options and he helped me pick the one that was best for me and my budget.
He spent lots of time showing me where everything was in the car, set up the app and paired it to the car when I picked it up.
The car was also immaculate on collection. I’m really happy with my car.
