I placed an order for 3 products, slated to arrive 3 days later at the end of May. We are now June 22nd, and I have received constant stringing along that my order will arrive, my order will arrive,... See more

Bad Product, crappy customer service.
Bought a clothing tag gun 2 weeks ago. $96.00 plus tax!!! The needle bent.
Went to the Regent Ave store in WPG to buy more needles. The employee says...."Oh NO NO NO.. We don't sell them. ??????? Find your receipt and we will send it back to the supplier. That doesn't help me today!!
I've been in business for 22 years. Never have I paid that much for a gun and could NOT buy replacement needles.
Just ordered one of Amazon. Comes with 5 replacement needles and 1600 fasteners and the price....way cheaper!!!!!! And will be here tomorrow!

At your store at 1737 Richmond st London On.I purchased a Parker stylo refill .The pacage was open when i try it I realized the refill was completely empty. I returned at the store and I had my old empty and the the just purchased one to prove that i was not playing any trick. After I talked to a nice young lady a person (supposed to be the manager) refused to give me a new refill. It is a $9.49 +taxes and at my age (I am 82) I could'nt act like a teenager.Mind you I spend the cost of the refill in gas since I drove from the other end of town.It was only matter of principle. Now do you expect me to go back to that store ?
Shameful treatment of Northern Customers
Shameful treatment of Northern customers.
I placed an order on Staples.ca using a free shipping code advertised on their website. At checkout, no shipping charge was shown before I confirmed the order. Only after I had paid and received the confirmation email did I discover Staples had charged me $250.00 in shipping to send two packs of ink cartridges to my address in Riviere Saint Paul, Quebec.
$250.00. To ship ink cartridges. The product itself was $465.98.
There is no honest justification for a $250.00 shipping fee on a parcel this size. An envelope does not cost $250.00 to send. A small box of ink cartridges does not cost $250.00 to send. This is a corporation exploiting customers in remote and Northern communities, charging fees that have nothing to do with actual shipping costs, and burying those fees until after the sale is final.
I called customer service immediately to cancel. I was told the order cannot be cancelled, cannot be returned, and that I am stuck paying the $250.00 regardless of what I do. The free shipping code I used was apparently meaningless. The charge was never disclosed before I confirmed. Once they have your money, the answer is no.
This is the kind of practice that makes people in Northern communities give up on ordering online. We already pay more for everything. We already wait longer for everything. Then companies like Staples Canada quietly tack on $250 fees, hide them until the order is placed, and refuse to make it right.
If you live in a remote postal code in Canada, do not order from Staples.ca. Do not trust their free shipping promotions. They will not honour them, and will not let you out of the order when you see what they have actually charged you.
I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Office de la protection du consommateur du Quebec, and the Competition Bureau of Canada. I am also disputing the charge with Visa.
Staples Canada, you can do better. You should be ashamed.
The worst customer service I ever had…
The worst customer service I ever had confront on the phone is this company? I ordered some supplies for my office my secretary did then this lady from customer service called first thing asked me if I was my secretary, which is obviously a women’s name and I said to her when you call you supposed to ask to speak to such person instead, anyway she went at me was so bad Literally, I had to hang up on her. This is the worst ever ever customer service in my entire living in this country. Where they find this people my address is 1thomson court just in case if they want to track from where I complained
I went to Staples to get some photos…
I went to Staples to get some photos printed on photo paper. The Young Staples Associates that helped me was named Adessa.
Not only did she do an amazing job with the photos from my USB drive in printing them on the photo paper but she went above and beyond as one picture was hard to change the extension into a photograph version she took the time to make sure it could be printed on photo paper and it was all done with all the help that she gave me everything was wonderful.
I'm not usually a big fan of Staples these days but Adessa went over and above what I consider to be customer service.
She even discounted the one photo that she was having so much trouble to get converted from another file extension to an image extension for photo printing it didn't cost me anything for the extra photo and still the quality was amazing.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience from start to finish. Extremely slow processing times, I have waited a month for my order and it still isn't here, and non-existent customer service.
The worse company ever built
The worse company ever built. From store employee to online employee to courier. The company should close permanently.
I purchased the printer online-poor customer service
I purchased the printer online. The process was not smooth. I subscribed online with the newsletter and received my 10% of but the code did not work. I had to call e-commerce web support and they gave me another code and it still said code expired.
I was told to pay the full price for the printer and the discount would be credited back. This occurred 2 days later.
I saw I qualified for a $25 gift card for buying a printer from March 20-26. from a staples newsletter. I returned to the store expecting them to allow me to pick one up.
The manager Ramin, at North Vancouver Staples on marine drive said I purchased the printer at full price. I said no I did not.
He said their retail store is different from on line. purchases. He was not willing to give me the gift card. I had to refund the printer and repurchase it to qualify to pick up a gift card.
I refused. He said he doesn’t know anything about online. Then I stressed I bought this online on sale and March 20th was the last day.
He obviously was becoming frustrated with me. He checked my purchase price off my staples email invoice and said the $25 gift card has already been applied. You can check it with your calculator!
At this point I know he wasn’t going to budge. I simply walked out and returned the printer unopened for a full refund minus the discount coupons given.
I called head office to complain and they simply apologized and said they will send me the gift card. I refused it. Imagine dealing with this fiasco all over again if I bought a toner online on sale? I do not need this frustration and headache. No longer willing to deal with Staples again ever!!! Believe me, this story will be shared elsewhere!!!
Very bad experience
Very bad experience
I spent one hour just for online printing and it didn’t work
Employees told me that many people complain about that.
I can’t print business cards because it will be bad quality and online order will be the best.
I used a fax service
I used a fax service. It is quite expensive. Their automatic fax machine reported the fax was sent, charged me the money and printed the receipt. The next day I called the office I sent the fax to. They said they did not receive the fax. During sending of the fax I noticed the fax displayed, that it was timed out, but instead of charging me it should say it could not send.
If i can put zero star it would be…

Disrespectful treatment toward a…
Disrespectful treatment toward a customer with special needs — unacceptable under BC Human Rights and Accessibility Standards
I am extremely disappointed with the service my son and I received at this Staples Fort St Jonn, BC. My son has special needs, and the staff member who assisted us showed a complete lack of understanding, patience, and professionalism.
While my son was trying to pay, the employee reacted with dismissive facial expressions and even holding a laugh at his mistake. This is not only unprofessional — it goes against BC Human Rights protections, which require businesses to provide equal, respectful service to people with disabilities.
I explained that because of my son’s disability, we needed a hard copy of the photo taken last week. Instead of helping, the staff member suggested that my son should wear the same clothes as before so it “wouldn’t be obvious” that the picture was new. This suggestion was inappropriate, unethical, and completely unhelpful.
She also accused me of being “upset” when I was simply trying to understand the situation. Her tone and attitude made it clear she lacked proper training in accessibility standards for customer service, which require patience, respect, and accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
Customers with special needs deserve dignity, understanding, and proper support — not judgment, frustration, or disrespect. What we experienced here was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
I hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff receive proper training on disability awareness and accessibility requirements. No family should ever feel humiliated or dismissed while accessing a basic service.
the website horrible!!
the website horrible!!
very glitchy and on top of that you have to pay service fee for printing which i wouldn't mind but i couldn't even do that because verifying your card details on the site seems to be impossible, such a waist of time
The Harwood Rd
The Harwood Rd; Ajax location have always been fantastic to deal with. Better yet, their TechEasy tech services are outstanding every time I need their help.
Do not order from their online store!
Do not order from their online and expect it ANYWHERE close to what they estimate especially if you are in BC. It will sit in their PORT COQUITLAM, BC warehouse for days past the estimated delivery time and they will refuse to cancel the order even though its not even processed yet. Total waste of our time! Will never order from staples for business related products in the future
Huge Waste of Time
I walked into the Welland store to help my daughter buy an iPhone and a laptop.
She knew exactly which phoneone/colour she wanted which we told the sales rep. He shuffled around for about 5 minutes, then went to the manager who said he would look in the back. He then proceeded to assist 2 other customers checking out before telling us that he did not have the phone she wanted to buy outright. If she would go with a different phone, there might be a $200 gift card. I told him that money was not an object, could they call another location? No, they could not- why I can't say. Then the original clerk said he could give her a $27/month phone plan and get that phone with it. Why on earth would she get a second phone plan? So we moved on to the laptop. After convincing us on the merits of 2 choices, I asked if the keyboard was backlit 'no, but you don't need that' he said. I went closer and read the description- yes it did have that feature (this is still the manager). He kept pushing the one on sale- I repeated that the money was not important. We settled on the one- oh sorry, we don't have any! 'Try buying it online' he says. We walked out of the store empty- handed after wasting 30-45 minutes of my time for nothing. Staples, you should be ashamed of such sales people!
My husband and I ( both seniors) went…
My husband and I ( both seniors) went to Staples on Stavanger Drive St.Johns Newfoundland on March 26th . We just need a document printed … 3 people behind the counter that totally ignored us .. we waited 5 minutes and asked for help .. one worker reluctantly came over and told us the printer was behind us and to use that . We couldn’t get the printer to work and ask again for help .. she proceeded to tell us something about a code that we couldn’t find . We went back to the printer again and still couldn’t get it to work . All 3 workers say us struggling and not one offered to help . Totally ignored us . The worse customer service we ever witnessed .. they were all rude and lazy . Totally unacceptable! We left the store and never will go back there again … and we are telling our friends not to go there either. Not fit to deal with !

Went to Staples eglington and Yonge today and received outstanding service . Had to scan a large amount of documents and send to a portal..
Terrible service
Terrible service, second high price order that is in limbo for weeks and if I would not enquire about it they would not even notify me that it was canceled. Excuse that item is out of stock and discontinued ...yeah right IT WAS NEVER IN STOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE!
