Stanley backpack..do not buy

I bought a stanley product. The basic backpack which still cost £40. I only use it for light work carrying a few tools for gas servicing. After 5 months use the shoulder strap is comming away. I contacted Stanley who informed me that the product is not warranted for wear and tear. I tried to explain that if it had broken after such a short time it is not fit for purpose. This was to no avail. I have had to buy a new backpack, it wasn't Stanley..do not buy their basic rucksack it wont last or do the job it's meant to do.

I just bought a battery powered…

I just bought a battery powered Craftsman Line Trimmer and had an issue with the charger not charging the battery. I almost disassembled the trimmer to send it back and was toldby my brother in law to try another plug to see if it would work. Which it did and charger came on. Plugged it back into the previous plug again and I was amazed to see that it came on. He had a similar issue with his charger. It was just stubborn to start working. Craftsman did reach out to me today and I told the charger seemed to fix it self. It's working now. Craftsman reaching out was really appreciated. Thanks Craftsman.

Stanley doesn't stand behind their products

Stanley doesn't stand behind their products at all, in the US they offer unlimited lifetime warranties, in Australia they offer 2 years and conditional, in other places their warranty is none existent, this discrepancy means they send lower quality products to other countries, will avoid at all costs, also can't buy certain replacement parts like black chrome sockets they make, sell exclusive sets to supercheap auto but won't sell me the individual sockets to re-complete my set, was told by their customer support to buy a new set or go on ebay and find them there.... very disappointing to say the least

Home owner.

What I needed was some answers as to why my planner needed (1) kind of spring (#169) and (1) one (#58) dealing with my DW733 planner feed rollers.
Never did get the answers I needed so I may order the proper parts. Jose said I needed to find this out from your service dept. Had I known this before from Jose I could have made my order.
I still don't know where I can order my parts from.
Help!

How the mighty have fallen

How the mighty have fallen. I left the following 1 star review for their putty knife at Hone Depot:
"Good luck getting the large sticker labels off both sides!
What they don't show in the pics are the perma-bonded sticker labels on both sides of the knife, covering 3/4's of one side and 20% of the other side. They do NOT peel off. They come off in tiny little pieces, maybe a MM or 2 at a time. And, even that leaves a heavy adhesive residue that takes an adhesive remover to get off. These stickers are NOT meant to come off, rendering the knife useless. Have tried soaking them, spraying the actual labels with goof-off, etc. and all that does is leave an even bigger mess. Contacted Stanley support and they couldn't even be bothered to respond back to me. It is sad to see what has become of what used to be really good companies you could rely on. This will be my last Stanley purchase. If you want a putty knife that you don't have to waste hours getting the labels off before you can use it, look elsewhere!"
(As a side note, it is now about 3 weeks since I received their product, and I have still been unable to completely remove their stickers from the putty knife, despite continued soaking with industrial strength adhesive remover and constant scraping.
I received an email response from them, which made no mention of the actual issue I had with them:
"Thank you for contacting STANLEY® TOOLS

We apologize for not meeting the established time frame to provide you with a response.

Thank you for keeping loyal to our brand, we keep working to improve the quality in every aspect of our production chain. We have taken your feedback and it will be in our records.

Do not hesitate to contact us back in case you need further assistance.

Sincerely,
Jonathan

I also received a survey request with a link to answer some survey questions regarding my experience with their support. It contained a link to answer the survey, which turned out to be as bad as their non-support. Here's what I was met with when I clicked the link:
"Website blocked due to phishing
Website blocked: surveycsatnps-sbd.web.app

Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this website because it may contain malware activity.
We strongly recommend you do not continue."
And finally, to add insult to injury, they were unable to even get my last name correct in the email they sent me. What a trainwreck they have become.

Stanley Tools proudly claim on their website that they make their stuff in the USA and this is not true. I bought a set of drills recently and found that they are made in China. They are the last tools I will buy from Stanley.
