Prompt and professional

I thought that it would be a complicated hassle to get our TV replaced. But it was actually very simple. The representative on the phone walked me through the process and was able to find our original receipt. The delivery guys took such great care with the delivery of the new TV and were very friendly. I will always purchase the warranty.

hit or miss replace options

Sometimes the square trade process is a bit hit-or-miss. I had a warranty on so headphones that I really loved. And because they didn't have the headphones, they offered me a charger, just a random charger. So I requested the money back because that was just the weirdest thing. But usually they're trouble-free. And the process is really easy to get a warranty replacement.

Square trade/Home Depot Protection Plan…

Square trade/Home Depot Protection Plan warranty is predatory! They take weeks to address your concerns and another couple months to decide if they’re going to reimburse your money, if they reimburse you they are going to abandon the appliance and you are left responsible for disposal. I have a GE profile washer and dryer combo that has a heat pump in it that has refrigerant which is a hazardous material and they have abandoned it for me to dispose of and the fees to get rid of this piece of junk. By the manufacturer warranty stay away from these third-party scammers!

Last year I had purchased an accent…

Last year I had purchased an accent chair from Walmart and purchased the Furniture Protection Plan through Allstate. The chair frame collapsed in the corner, thus rendering the chair obviously unusable. I filed a claim with Allstate but the claim was denied. I had checked the warranty that I had on file and it was an Electronics Protection Plan. I had spoke with an agent and they said that since the claim did not involve mechanical failure or a battery failure then my claim was invalid (tell me what part of an accent chair is “mechanical” or “battery operated”?). They then cancelled my policy and refunded me the $15 for the Electronics Plan. I told them that I wanted the issue resolved accordingly, but the agent said that since they cancelled the policy there was nothing more that they could do. I even sent them a screenshot of my receipt proving that I purchased the Furniture Plan for $24. They then gaslighted me by saying that I bought the basic plan. Walmart does not offer different tiered plans for their products. Especially furniture. They then reluctantly agreed to send the remainder of the $24 plan (which I have yet to receive) and still blamed me for buying the wrong plan, despite the fact that I proved that I bought the correct plan and Allstate screwed up my plan. Horrible company to deal with. They used to bend over backwards to make things right. Now they want to do everything but solve warranty issues. Now I’m stuck with a broken chair that has an unhonored warranty and only half a reimbursement for a plan.

It took a couple of tries to get the…

It took a couple of tries to get the time window that I needed after work, but in the end it worked out. Thankfully it was only my water pitcher not filling up. Had I been without refrigeration, then it would have been a very difficult time waiting. The warranties are great though and Costco is AMAZING!

It’s a SCAM. Even the expensive coverage.

You guys upcharge saying” oh hey since you bought a 300$ item the 125$ protection plan will cover accidents and anything. But when you go up and try and claim you find out the 125$ one is the STANDARD ONE SO YOU THINK YOU GOT COVERAGE BUT YOU DONT. And they say pay out of pocket for the device to get fixed and we’ll give ya a gift card vs actually doing something. Don’t buy I’ll protest in Walmart holding a sign. I have the money to get the accident one, it’s more of dishonesty and thievery at the end of the day

Outstanding Service from Allstate Protection Plans

I can't say enough good things about Fredrick William and the Allstate Square Trade Protection team! They were quick to respond to my claim and more than fair in compensating me for the need to rent a replacement for my Z 24-120 lens while it was sent to the factory for repair. I continue to purchase all my gear from B&H in part because of access to their exclusive accidental drop and spill program.
