Brought expensive titanium frames
Brought expensive titanium frames, metal broke from just cleaning the lenses, I had them 2 yrs and 2 months, they said the warranty is only 2 yrs, so l said consumers guarantee, they were not interested, this was at the Timaru branch, they said it was down to the manufacturer, yet I said but u purchase them for us, and we rely on you picking good quality stuff. Won’t be going back. The lady was very blunt.

Cool optometrist
The optometrist - Chris Boyle- was excellent. Professional, but not stuffy or overly formal.
He had great explanations. A lot of the technical aspects went above my head. But he was super respectful and kind taking time to describe things in a way I understood.
Cool guy. Second time I’ve been seen by him. Would hope to see again.
Got my favourite titanium frames again.
Glasses were ready to collect in 8 days. Now seeing in 4K. Too easy.

The eye check this time was 'rushed'
The eye check this time was 'rushed' ! May be because they were very busy when I came. I felt like being treated as a product instead of a human being ! Plus they messed up one of my eyeglasses ! They gave me the wrong color and the other glass was very loosed ! (had to be adjusted 3 times !) Haven't really worn it yet, so don't know how they will perform. Will give an update some other time. I am considering going to other store next time. Profit before their customers' needs ! NOT recommended !

The optometrist efficient and knowledgeable
The staff were all helpful, the optometrist efficient and had good listening skills, offering me what I need to make my work/life use of glasses user-friendly and the links to shop staff relevant.
I appreciated the shape tip for my face.
I would like to see an option for the updated lenses to be slipped into my current frames without the hefty price tag, however costs are astronomical in many areas these days.

I disliked the fact that senior people are disadvantaged to being tested under the so-called health and safety issues. It appears one chair fits all is not appropriate.
Plus I booked for an eye test but felt I had no option to complete a hearing test
