Booking with Solmar Villas was very easy and trouble free, they have a good website and its very intuitive and we have done two previous trips with Solmar.
Villa Caripira is a real gem and we were delighted with it. We visited in August 2025 and we were a group of 7 including two boys of 10 & 7, so we needed and used four bedrooms. Everyone was delighted with every aspect of the Villa. In short it is very large and each bedroom has en suite shower and wc etc and also huge amounts of storage and wardrobe space. The villa is modern, clean and classy and has everything you might need. The kitchen is very well equipped and the outside areas including the pool and sun loungers were excellent.
At the rear of the property there is a golf net and driving range which is amazing if you want to practice your golf swing or use it as a football goal net as did my young grandsons! On top of all this the Villa has a lovely quiet garden that is peaceful and includes a lovely area where you can sit quietly or use the pizza oven to have an alternative dining area. There is also, along one edge of the garden, a large number of solar panels that generate and store electric power. This set up caused us some puzzlement at one time as half the power went off in the Villa for a period of time and we couldn't understand what had occurred. We then discovered that the whole area had suffered a power outage and the Villa supply kicked in and kept half of the Villa going, a really good benefit.
Villa Caripira is in a quiet residential area so walking to the beach is not practical but plenty of taxis around and there is bars, restaurants and a good shop not far away. We shall hopefully return to Villa Caripira at some time in the future.

Villa silver Sky 2 in Kastela Croatia. We had a most enjoyable holiday in this beautiful modern villa. Exceptional hosts who exceeded our expectations! Villa is well placed for local restaurants and beaches. We would recommend this large villa to any group of holidaymakers.

Just returned from Paradise Cove, Latchi, Cyprus. Fantastic villa, clean,modern, spacious and stylish. Pool area lovely, good sized pool, plenty of space for relaxing in the sun or shade. Set in a remote peaceful setting, but only 5 mins in a car away from Latchi with its beautiful harbour, beaches and restaurants to suit every pocket. Large supermarket 15 minutes away in Polis. Had a health issue whilst I was there and visited Polis hospital where I received top notch treatment with my passport and EHIC CARD.
Whilst there we paddle boarded on Latchi beach, did a boat trip to the blue lagoon, drove through the Trodos Mountains. Also there is a beautiful village further up the mountain where there is an ice cream shop, small supermarket and restaurant who serve a great authentic Greek Meze.
Fantastic holiday had by all and looking forward to a return visit. A car is needed in this location.

Our villa in Minnie’s Kefalonia was amazing inside and outside. The pool was amazing. We had a party of 6 with a toddler. Our information booklet was fantastic. Our villa when we arrived had complementary fruit teas water milk and coffee which was a lovely touch. It was a fantastic holiday.

A few things the villa is in need of are non slip shower mats and a shelf in the shower, but other than that everything else was ok and enjoyable.

Great villa. Spacious and everything that you needed was included. Service while we were there was great,very prompt. We made a couple of requests which were dealt with very quickly.
My only criticisms would be that the outside area could have done with a good clean a couple of times with a hose pipe or similar as it got very wet, grubby and slippery through the week and maybe some sort of key safe to collect and drop off the keys at the villa rather than having to go into town.
Would happily visit again!

The villa was just as expected. When we had an issue with an appliance not working the company dealt with it promptly, keeping us informed and resolving the issue speedily

We stayed in Sky Villa 1 I just outside Split. The villa was first class and couldn’t be faulted exceptionally clean including the pool! The hosts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend!

Everything as promised but did not get answer on mail for two weeks before our stay. Got the answer right away when I called the Office and they were very helpful.
Would use them again.

Stayed at Can Fiol last week, we had a great time there. It's on the edge of Puerto Pollensa about 5 mins to the beach and 35 mins to the resort centre.

There's a new villa being built next door, but it didn't impact our stay just a bit of noise every now and then.

I had trouble on the website booking the villa, I ended up calling the office and speaking to Abbie who was a great help in sorting everything out.

I would definitely use Solmar Villas Again.

Found Solmar customer services very helpful when contacted to clarify some questions I had. Holiday booked was absolutely fine and we had no problems.
Villa Anna, Lefkada was very clean and well maintained overall. The only thing which let it down a notch was that the mattresses on both beds are very poor (thin or very worn and not padded /not providing comfortable support).

I recommend that whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK VILLA AGAPI IN LEFKADA. This villa looks nothing like the pictures. Pipes sticking out of the floor, disgustingly dirty, infested with bugs and mould, blood and unknown stains on the sheets. Really damaged broken furniture and broken lights. Aircon is shocking and doesn’t work properly. We complained and they said give us 48 hours to rectify, which would have been impossible. They wouldn’t have been able to fumigate, buy replacement furniture and Remove all the mould in that time. We booked another villa and we could not face staying there. We were told to contact Solmar once we got back to the UK, which we did and They offered us a tiny fraction of the cost of the Villa back as a refund. Avoid at all costs. It’s not rustic, it’s filthy and falsely advertised

We were travelling as a large group of 13 so good communication was very important and Solmar were excellent in this area. However… we were somewhat disappointed with the villa we stayed in The Mirador Faro which cost us £6000 for the week and therefore we expected good quality accommodation.
The general condition of the villa was poor. It needed updating throughout in the main the bathrooms and kitchen which was very small to accommodate so many people. The villa was quite dirty upon arrival. Layers of dust under all furniture and the fridge was filthy obviously it had been missed!
The air con units kept breaking down periodically and were black with dirt/mould inside. Porch lights didn’t work. Our pool was freezing ! Outside areas hadn’t been cleaned properly and we stepped over cigarette ends! The bedrooms were basic in the main with poor quality bedding and mattresses!
There was just enough crockery and cutlery to accommodate our group size.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and tried not to let the poor quality of villa to ruin the holiday but I would never stay here again as it is way over priced for the poor standard of finishing and the kitchen really let’s the property down.
Final comment … only one key ! We unfortunately locked ourselves out on one occasion with a sleeping baby inside so there definitely should be a spare key held in key safe.

After reading some of the reviews wasn't sure what service/villa to expect. The villa was exceptional and was spotless on arrival. Brilliant communication from Solmar regarding booking, with transfer and on arrival. We had one issue with the water level increasing in the pool but was resolved immediately. It's great that reps don't intrude but they are there if needed. First class service all round

We booked a villa well in advance through this company, however, just a few weeks before we were due to go they advised the villa was no longer available. The villa we checked online and saw that it was on now with another company and fully booked. We were offered alternatives, all of which were not as good as what we had booked. We were offered a refund but of course had spent thousands on flights for the 8 of us so that wasn't an option. We ended up in a villa which was over kilometer from any beach, restaurant or shop, meaning for the little ones in well plus 30 degree heat, walking wasn't an option. We spent additional money on hire cars/ fuel due to the change of villa (original one was 100meters from the beach/shops plus closer to the airport) upon arrival the villa was clean and well presented, but was ill equipped with kitchen items for self catering, no spare bedding (we had 4 young kids so would be reasonable to expect a night time accident or illness) and no covers just sheets. There were some scratchy old blankets but not enough for every bed. On arrival a company rep happened to be there. It was mentioned to him that there was insuffifient glasses to drink out of for the 8 people present, he said he would sort. Well, we never heard from them or saw anyone again. We didnt bother reporting anything else as who wants to spend a week doing that. But, the toaster was broken, the BBQ coal tray was slightly damaged, and as i said, the kitchen ill equipped for self catering. We made the best of it and Due to great friends, we still had a good time, but we will avoid booking through this company again.

The villa itself, bricks and mortar, was good. Excellent air con in every room, lovely pool.
Bathroom tired and shower leaked a bit.
Black out shutters on every room were brilliant.
Villa kobe was that which we ended up staying in.
It would have been nice to be offered some kind of compensation for the additional expenses we incurred due to the late last minute changes made by the company, but this was not offered in anyway.

Ongoing dispute:

I booked a villa in Kefalonia on Airbnb. Immediately after booking, I went onto Google to find things to do in the area and came across two independent reviews from the last 3 weeks, of squatters living underneath the swimming pool, with needles and other paraphernalia scattered around the entrance. Seemingly the people acted aggressively and Solmar denied it until there were photographs provided.

Within 20minutes of making the booking, I requested to cancel for obvious reasons.

They took a long time to reply, have tired to reassure me by denying there’s an issue and they won’t cancel the booking. When there are a reports of drugs and illegal squatters, I can’t understand why they wouldn’t respect my request to cancel?? It’s totally unethical and arguably fraudulent.

Villa Athos (marketed as Villa Modern Luxe, Porec) was wonderful. Spacious, clean and well laid out. The host was extremely helpful, on hand via WhatsApp and very responsive every day. We made good use of the pool, hot tub, bbq area and the play station. We couldnt use Netflix as previous guests hadn't logged out, and the wifi wasnt strong enough to connect upstairs which was a shame.

One thing we really must stress with this Villa is that it isn't called Villa Modern Luxe, its called Villa Athos. It also isnt in Porec, (Porec is over 30km away which is over half an hour away in a car). The Villa is situated kn Karigador. Which is absolutely beautiful but there are no busses at all and no Uber. If you drive on holiday this wont be an issue but if you don't, allow a LOT of extra spending money for taxi's. It cost us EUR 120.00 return to Porec. EUR 80.00 return to Umag, EUR 80.00 return to Novigrad and EUR 60.00 return to Istralandia.

We will know to look more closely at the map before booking next year.

The super market in Karigador is small and expensive. There is a 2nd one in the campsite which is a 30 min walk away. Slightly better stocked but still not great and also expensive so, if, like us, you are planning to cook at the Villa, whilst the Villa itself is very well stocked with tools and cooking equipment you may need that car again, to get to the main super markets in other towns.

Karigador is BEAUTUFUL. With 2 gorgeous restaurants, a beach bar and the most beautiful places to swim. We would definitely return to the town and to the villa. Albeit we would just be better prepared next time.

We stayed in Villa Summer Dawn. The villa was lovely, exactly as described and perfect for 3 couples. We did have a maintenance issue which was dealt with promptly. Location is great for the beach. Emma was always available when we needed her, helpful but never intrusive. We will be back next year.
