Pleasant crossing but ripping-off cyclists

They charge you 66 € during high-season for a single bicycle (one-way!). In return, you get a corner next to the motorcycles where there is nothing to secure the bikes. You have to lean it against the wall.

That said, the ferry itself was nice and the staff were friendly.

Honestly so hard to recommend this…

Honestly so hard to recommend this company. They are inferior to other lines (DFDS etc.) First of all their customer service is non-existant (both online and on board)
We had an issue changing our ferry - we were over the 7 days but still did not provide partial refund.
On board service was all about maximising profits, from charging hot water for babys bottles, to our child getting assaulted int he playroom and staff doing nothing. Just not worth it

Be aware

Be aware! The company advertises prices that are impossible to get for the actual trip.
For example, trip from Seyðisfjörður to Hirsthals is advertised to be around 200 euro which seems very attractive. In reality one must pay 200 euro for the trip AND must select a cabin, which is another 200 euros. So the trip is around 400 euros. Very deceitful, shady company

Yes we will be back IF!!

The cruise itself is pretty good. Its the beginning and end which need a lot of improvement. Promised connecting buses either don't run or are too late to be any good. If like us you've walked a couple miles with baggage for 12 days to find the lift and escalator isn't working and still wasn't when we got back due to some security issues?? Which we didn't understand. For individuals small groups they need improvements! 2nd to 9th April 2022.
Now at a distance in time and a full cost cruise under our belts. I can really recommend the cruise element. The only problem is that the guides don't normally speak English. All the excursions were inclusive and enjoyable with there own excellent driver. We are not normally ones to repeat holidays but we do hope to go with them again. If
They've resolved the lift problem.

Quite possibly the worst ferry

Quite possibly the worst ferry, I've ever been on. super expensive, with horrible on board utilities. No electrical outlets for your 3 day journey and literally nothing to do on board. if you're in economy prepare to share you're living space with 9 other people where no more than 1 person at a time can stand up, and be prepared to PAY EXTRA for BEDDING. and pay i think it was like 10 kroner per hour of wifi. something absolutely ridiculous. horrible breakfast.

a really really bad experience, considering it wasn't cheap. you might as well have just flown.

Traveling with the Norrøna ferry is a …

Traveling with the Norrøna ferry is a holiday experience in itself. Especially if the weather is good and you are traveling in good company. The onboard amenities gives you plenty to do and the buffet restaurant is recommended. Swimming onboard, enjoying a hot tub on the deck, playing football in the FIFA pitch, watching a movie in the cinema... and the service is great. Beware of the weather though. If you get seasick easily, it won't be much fun.
