From pickup to drop-off

From pickup to drop-off, the entire experience was outstanding. The staff were exceptionally helpful and truly went the extra mile to make sure everything met my expectations. I’ll definitely be booking my next rental with Sixt.

So easy to hire the 12 seater, very he;pful staff in particular Hallie who was very knowledgeable and easy to get on with who made the pick up seamless unlike some other rental companies,who treat you like a $ sign

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Sixt.

I rented a car from April 16 to April 19, and on my way back to the airport the vehicle began having serious acceleration issues, making it unsafe to drive. I immediately contacted customer service, but was told to keep driving despite the safety concern.

The problem quickly worsened, and I had to pull over on the highway for my own safety. After contacting them again, a tow truck was finally sent and I was instructed to take an Uber to the airport, which I did. I also provided video evidence of the issue.

Even so, I was later charged an extra $88 with no clear explanation. I have reached out asking for clarification and a refund, but have not received proper communication or support.

I find this experience very disappointing, especially considering the safety issue involved and the lack of assistance provided. I do not believe I should be responsible for additional charges caused by a faulty vehicle and unclear handling of the situation.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Sixt.

I rented a car from April 16 to April 19, and during my drive back to the airport, the vehicle started having serious acceleration issues. The car became unsafe to drive, and I contacted customer service immediately. Instead of offering a clear and efficient solution, I was told to continue driving the car, which was extremely concerning.

Shortly after, the situation worsened, and I had to stop the car on the side of the highway for safety reasons. After contacting them again, the company decided to send a tow truck and instructed me to take an Uber back to the airport. I followed all instructions exactly as given and provided video proof of the issue.

Despite this, I was later charged an additional $88 (and even more charges were mentioned) without any clear explanation. I have reached out via email requesting clarification and a refund, but the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating.

This situation shows a serious lack of organization, poor communication between teams, and very disappointing customer service. I should not be held responsible for extra charges when the vehicle itself was defective and the return process was handled entirely under their instructions.

I expected a much higher level of professionalism. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Smooth pickup and dropoff

Smooth pickup and dropoff, reasonable rates, no charge for dropping off in another city. Car was nice and new. Only problem was that it smelled like smoke - something we could not get rid of throughout our trip.

Disappointed

Service agents were excellent! Rented car for work and checked out car in less than 10 minutes. Loved the service and the car!

Received an email a week later from the Sixth claiming I damaged the vehicle. Photos show no sign of damage now I believe there is another issue not related to the rental of why I received this email. Had to change my rating and not renting from this company again

The airport agent was great

The airport agent was great. She had me out in less than 10 minutes. Plus my car was upgraded! The return agent in the parking lot was great too. I was inside the terminal 5 minutes after parking.

SixT is the only rental car company I will ever use!

SixT is the only rental car company I will ever use!!! Their check in and check out process is the best. They have integrated everything into the app so I never have to go to the counter. It creates a VIP experience when you bypass the line and go straight to your vehicle. Every vehicle has been top notch! I have never had an issue with the quality of my rentals. I love this company, pricing has always been upfront and transparent. Give SixT a try and I grantee you will not be disappointed.

Have had a great experience everytime !

Have had a great experience in both Dallas/Addison and Philidelphia Airport locations. Great service, vehicles and price. No need to go to other discounted car rental places who give entry level trim vehicles with high mileage.

The BMW Series 1 we rented was…

The BMW Series 1 we rented was excellent. The car was brand new, perfectly clean and in outstanding condition. It was very comfortable to drive, smooth, quiet and very enjoyable for our trip. Everything worked perfectly and the vehicle clearly reflects the high quality of the SIXT fleet. We were extremely satisfied with the car.

Fast and friendly service

I’ve been using Sixt for nearly two years now and the car rental experience has been perfect. Easy car booking, select my car while on the way to the rental car center, go straight to my car, check out and I’m on my way. After a long day of travel, it’s exactly what is needed. Clean cars, friendly and helpful service when needed, thank you Sixt!

Sixt Valencia

Booked a car through Expedia with Sixt in Valencia. My flight was delayed, but I notified them in advance and received confirmation that my updated arrival was noted. When I got there, the local office refused to honor the reservation and forced me into a much more expensive rental.

The car itself had extensive visible damage and was dirty at pickup. I only drove about 47 km and parked it in a garage the entire time. I returned it early morning via key drop (no staff present), and later received a damage claim for a small scratch on the front bumper.

The issue is there’s no clear proof this damage wasn’t already there. The photos they provided are taken on a dirty surface with no “before” comparison, and the rental agreement already lists multiple scratches across the vehicle.

I’ve tried calling multiple times and keep getting disconnected, so resolving this has been frustrating.

Overall, between the reservation not being honored and the questionable damage charge, this hasn’t been a great experience.

Take a careful video when picking up a car

For the first time in my 40 years of driving and renting cars, I received a claim for $607 for allegedly having damaged a front right wheel of a Toyota RAV4 - a minor scrape - during my two day rental. I did not have a video walk around of the car at the time of picking it up and neither did Sixt. And I explained that I did not parallel park during my rental, so it was impossible to scrape the wheel in the way it was shown.

Solid experience with a small drawback (Business Trip)

I recently rented a car with Sixt for a trip to Canada, and overall the experience was very good—consistent with what I’ve come to expect from them (this was my 6th rental in less than a year).

The pickup process was slightly confusing, especially getting from the airport to the rental location, but it’s manageable once you figure it out. I was given a complimentary “upgrade”—I had booked a Mazda CX-5 and received an Audi Q3 instead. While it’s more of a brand upgrade than a segment one, it was still a nice touch.

The car itself was in good condition. The only minor inconvenience was the infotainment system, which wasn’t the easiest to connect via Bluetooth and also the car was always beeping because the inspection was due.

The only real downside—and the reason I’m giving 4/5 stars instead of 5—is that they do not accept Revolut or Revolut Business cards. This feels a bit outdated, especially considering these are accepted in the US.

Aside from that, everything else was smooth. The staff, as always, were very helpful and friendly.
