It's a fraud site, they have closed and I can't claim my pot. There should be a legal action against them.

Do not use this company !!!! Their customer service is shocking. Took over a week and numerous emails and threats to report to Action Fraud and the National Cyber Security Centre before I was given my funds back. Website not secure and also cost £4.59 to gather £90 for a colleague. Costing was not well advertised when I signed up

I am still waiting for funds to be released for over two weeks. They say 48 hours!! The site seems to have server problems and is not secure. It is impossible to reach these people. I am now forced to proceed and report to action fraud uk. This is so sad - you try and collect money for a deserving person and then you get scammed. wow - what a way to take money from people.

Total scam. Difficult to get money transfer to Paypal, had to call million times before the money was transferred. Not all money were rieceved. Avoid.

This is becoming an absolute nightmare for me. Collected funds for a colleagues wedding was unable to collect the funds so I used my own money to buy the gift to save the embarrassment of having to confess that I have been completely scammed. Severely out of pocket and feel stupid for not researching this company properly. Do not make the same mistake!

Avoid avoid avoid! This “company” is a scam. After several requests to withdraw my money at a cost not properly advertised may I add, I have yet to receive anything. I will be reporting to action fraud today.

Set up a page for colleagues to donate, it was not advertised properly that fees would be taken from the donation nor that it would take two working days to receive the funds. The funds did not arrive despite my several online requests in addition to an email. I rang the number and was informed that the person who does the refunds was not in. They asked for the name of my organization (which wasn't a relevant question because they identification of the account is not done via your organization) and I felt that because my organisation is well established that is why the funds were deposited into my PayPal. The refund did appear shortly after the call but I am glad that i was doing this for work rather than on a personal basis.
Moreover the site itself is not secure so i would inform other to use a more recognized service directly, like PayPal.

Recently used this website to raise money for a retirement leaving event. In the first hour, we raised around £35 and I had an urge just to check the website reviews and saw information about their extortionate charging fees. I decided to use PayPal Pool instead as this is 0 fees (would advice people to use this for complete peace of mind).
On the platform, you can request a refund back to the people who had donated which apparently takes about 48 hours to validate before the money is transferred. This was all lies and the company had zero plans on giving back the money. On every occasion that i called their customer services team. they would state that 'the person who sorts out refund was not in office'. This happened at least 5 times over the course of a month trying to get the money. Eventually, I was able to get through the person but this too sheer perseverance. Their service model is obviously created to frustrate you so please beware of this. Luckily in my case, the money held wasn't overly substantial however the money belonged to generous people who had donated so I was determined to ensure they got their money back. Again, would not bother with this platform. The website is clunky, they charge extortionate fees to use it and their customer service team appear deceptive. 0 stars.

Have used Shareagift several times this year for a combination of fund raisers. The service worked well for us. Rang to get some support on a couple of occasions and each time they helped us really efficiently. Would definitely recommend.

Wish I hadn’t used this platform to gather contributions for a colleague leaving our firm.

The fees are high per donation - not explained up front when you set up the page, then additional fees for draw-down — but that is IF it ever happens!

Multiple requests to draw-down the funds have so far been ignored, as has an email chasing them up.

All smells rather fishy. So - as a team - I guess we’ll be looking to start a series of chargebacks soon to make sure our funds are returned to original card holders, if the draw-down request continues to be ignored. That should prompt a fraud alert and draw the attention of Visa/Mastercard etc (with us also reporting it direct to them) and see this platform’s right to process funds investigated and - if needed - suspended soon enough.

The bath bombs do have really strong scents but they do smell really good

UDPATE: I sent an email threatening to contact Action Fraud and turn the account over to our legal department and within 30 minutes all funds were deposited into my paypal account. It should not require that to get the money. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, that it was a genuine delay. I did have to send 2 emails and 2 facebook messages, but once I made the above assertions, I did receive the funds.

Collected money for our school custodial staff. Money not released and like everyone else there’s no email response and no number to call. I’m so disappointed. If there’s an issue just email a response. Guess I’ll have to get our legal department involved. I hoped that wouldn’t be the case.

Share a gift is a scam I started a fund for a gift and I have claimed the money twice and wrote share a gift twice with no response I just tried to call them and It says the customer can't be reached I want my money that I ended up having to pay out because of this scam of a sight!! stay away from this site it is a waste of time and their support system sucks big time

Site works ok but the fees from the site and how the funds are released to PayPal mean you lose a lot of money in contributions. Much better sites with fairer fees out there to use now.

Fees are high and if I would not have called and kept on being persistent, I would still not, 10 months after submitting my request to collect the funds, have received the funds back.

Awful service, hidden charges, avoid like the plague.

I chose Shareagift as a quick and easy way to collect funds for a colleague's leaving gift. I now have tried to withdraw funds 4 times over the last 6 days with no success and no one is responding to my messages.

In addition, the fees are extortionate, especially considering the lack of customer service. A £10 donation is subject to £1.03 in fees between the contributor and the collector, over 10%.

Good way to collect funds online during Covid-19 but be careful of hidden charges!! Not only Share gift takes their 5.4% commission (advertised as 4.5% online) as soon as you pay, Paypal retains 5.1% of your contribution on top of that once you release the funds. In total you pay more than 10%.
Also, payment is extremely difficult and many people have struggled to complete payment and ended up paying twice as they thought they hadn't paid. They also show an average payment to make you contribute more.
All in all, never again.
