We had a large claim due to water damage following a burst pipe and Sedgwick appointed a dedicated small team to manage our claim. From start to finish we were kept fully informed of developments and the options open to us. Extremely helpful - would definitely recommend.

Sedgwick became the supplier for Churchill insurance the company with which I held my policy and which had become entangled in in part due to the misrepresentations of an emergency supplier. Its engineer failed to repair or even to stop a Shower leak from a hole in a complex valve. When Sedgwick took over all became smoothly settled even on a further claim from a dishwasher fault.
I have written at length elsewhere in appreciation for
the resolution of my claims. Here I simply want to see with Sedgwick one is in good hands..

The claim took a while as there were a few misunderstandings with subcontractors for asbestos removals and back and delays on loss adjusters needing to come out. However, overall Sedgwicks were good. Things really took off once Christine Brewin took on my case. You could tell she was very busy re her workload but she always took the time to go through things and listened. She worked hard to get my claim finalised as it had already been at least 4 months of flushing my loo with a bucket/ceiling part down when she can took over my case. Her involvement moved things along quicker than before and I was really grateful for her hard work.

The whole experience with Sedgwick was excellent. They quickly got in touch with us and were very helpful and reassuring from the outset. Within two days we had a special video call from a building consultant (David Cliffe) who was excellent. He spent nearly an hour using a special app to see the inside and outside of the property and was utterly professional. Within a few hours we had his written report. This was truly exceptional service.

I reported a leak from my bathroom through my ceiling on 19 May to John Lewis Home Insurance. A plumber from Sedgwick arrived six hours later, took the side of my bath off, took many photographs of the wet underside and damaged ceiling downstairs, told me that he’d order two parts for me and that someone would get in touch with me to do the repair. I was given the tracking information. Initially, it looked like 2 parts were ordered, then 1 then none! There was no explanation except that my claim had been closed. I tried ringing and left messages but never had a reply. Apparently I’m not insured for the leaking hose according to John Lewis Emergency Home Services who I spoke to earlier though this wasn’t mentioned initially. I wouldn’t give any stars to either company at the moment.
I’ve since gathered from John Lewis Home Insurance that Sedgewick did try to call me on 21 May so thank you for that. However, I wasn’t aware of that and didn’t pick up. As far as I know, no other attempt was made and no message was left. Perhaps more will emerge in due course….

After extensive storm and flood damage during January 2026 I engaged with Sedgwick UK and the subsequent Loss Adjuster James Anderson. From the beginning to the end of the claim James provided support and reassurance answering all my emails promptly, the guidance was much appreciated. Everyone at Sedgwick UK including James, were courteous and showed empathy and compassion. Flood damage is brutal and destructive, it took time to come to terms with, however, with Sedgwick UK I genuinely felt listened to, knowing I was being supported every step of the way.

Excellent customer service by Ryan Southwell. I found Ryan to be extremely helpful, polite, friendly and very easy to communicate with. Ryan responded to my messages and phone calls immediately and took lots of stress away from me when making my insurance claim. Outcome was fair and claim was resolved very quickly.

The representative I spoke to was excellent. I had been trying to solve my flooding problem all afternoon and was a bit frazzled to say the least! She was very patient and repeated things time and time again as I wasn't taking anything in ( through no fault of hers!)

If your insurer uses Sedgwick to handle your Home Emergency claims, be prepared for severe delays, poor risk assessments, and bureaucratic excuses designed to avoid fixing active hazards.
I raised a critical home emergency for an active sewage/blackwater leak from a main toilet pipe dripping continuously into my downstairs utility room. The leak rotted through the ceiling.
Despite an active biohazard and sick children, Sedgwick downgraded the claim to a non-emergency simply because I have a "second toilet." They also attempted to claim the leak required complex "track and trace" or removing the entire toilet structure. In reality, the pipe is completely exposed, fully visible, and easily reachable by hand within arm's length.
To make matters worse, the subcontractor they deployed (Gotogroup) arrived completely unequipped with standard parts, did absolutely zero repair or containment work, and just walked away. I have now discovered that Sedgwick paid this contractor approximately £200 out of my strict £300 policy limit for doing absolutely nothing. They are now trying to force me to pay out-of-pocket for any actual plumber costs that exceed the remaining £100!
They are effectively burning through a customer's emergency allowance on their own failed contractor deployments, then penalizing the policyholder for it.
I have been forced to hire and pay for my own independent plumber to protect my children's health. I have escalated Sedgwick’s systemic failures and predatory claims handling directly to the primary insurer.
