Well built, working very well. But the 2 player option is a little odd. A "real" 2-player arcade joystick add on would be something people will buy. Now a xbox copy gamepad is the option.

I’ll just be upfront, I’m very sadly disappointed in this product. First off, I bought the product based on what was advertised in the pictures on the Samtronic website as well as reviews I saw on YouTube, but what I saw in the pictures and on YouTube, wasn’t what I was sent. I thought I was getting a Samtronic product with Samtronic software but when I turned on the system it was Pandora Box DX Special, not what was advertised. Also there was supposed to be a slot for the Micro SD card that has the games on it, my system has not slot at all. That’s not what was advertised. So honestly I’m very disappointed in this purchase, I didn’t get what I paid for and that’s not cool. I don’t want a refund, I don’t want to return it, I just want what was advertised to me and what I paid for.

Pros: Setup is pretty much plug and play. Product feels robust, well-made and durable. It's heavier than a laptop, but that adds to the feel.

Quick to charge and a full battery could last up to 4/5 hours given my current use experience.

Instant nostalgia! All the Sega / Nintendo / Arcade greats are here for those 90s kids that misspent their youth in bowling alleys, cinemas and coin arcades before dancing like idiots on tiktok was a thing.

Have spent the break since xmas knocking over AvP, Xmen and TMNT side scrollers and introducing my kids to Rampage and Street Fighter. Has been amazing.

Cons: My unit was supplied without the spanner, so the joystick is unable to be attached fully, so loosens over the course of a longer gaming experience. Minor.

The "Samtronic" operating system depicted on the site is not real, OS is actually a Pandora Box, simply in a new case. Just a FYI if anyone has any experience with that platform. Also means many of the games don't have an EU or US translation. Minor.

The games list (5000+) is not alphabitized or filed in any kind of logical order on the base menu which is diabolical...!! Making the search function not only absolutely essential, but with some games having upwards of 10/15 versions, it makes finding those specific games you're after very laborious. I'd say this is a pretty major (but preventable) admin issue considering the games library is just on an SD card and presumably copied from unit to unit. Spend the time to name and catalogue the games properly guys...

The second controller is NOT plug and play and requires some setup and back end system navigation. Straight forward enough, but honestly, should come ready to use. Again, spend the time.

The internal speaker is horrible. Metallic treble at the low end but the lower end volume is still very loud for a household with young kids... have been using headphones, again minor, but yeah, that speaker guys... yikes.

Overall though, amazing machine, amazing nostalgia for me, good talking point and a whole new experience for my kids, so although some OS and setup issues that should really be refined at this kind of pricepoint, this is a great platform and has already had an extensive workout!! Would recommend noting the issues above.

Great unit - I really enjoy all the games provided but wish the Settings menu was easier to access and the owner's manual/Guide was easier to read for people with poor vision.

I bought the item in December 2025 after watching it on the videos and reals but after receiving the item my excitement was gone. It’s NOT what you see on the videos or reals. The video quality is terrible like watching a 1700 movies. Most of the games make NO sense and when I wanted a refund they wanted me to send the item to another country which will cost me nearly $200. I Made the mistake.

Games are great - however, upon receipt of my game, the power level was at a 3 out of 4 and I need to recharge every night...

Unit boots up and after loading screen does nothing, it's a brick with a screen attached, please send me a replacement or refund my 1200 dollars. Very sad for the kids on Christmas. Order no SAMT7502.

They have told me they will send a updated memory card to fix this issue, will update with resolution.

They sent the new card and the unit now functions as I wou
ld expect. Thank you.

Awesome machine, brings me back to my childhood dream. Excellent built quality, fast delivery. The only problem is that there are too many games, and it's hard to find the games I'm looking for. The navigation system and the menu need to be worked on. Regardless, it's a great machine, worth every penny. I'm going to have lots of fun with it for the time to come.

I have received my upgraded (all options) 14 inch console and I love it. I have not had it that long but I am satisfied with all aspects of the machine. The images are as clear as I would have expected. The functionality of the buttons and the upgraded joystick are great. A minor gripe is that I can't turn the volume down to a really low level (it just turns off at a certain point) but I can always wear my headset. I'm pleasantly surprised with my experience and I can't wait to see the durability. Hopefully I'll have it for many more years. There are plenty of fighting games, which is not my thing, but there are PLENTY (5,000 game system) of other games that are bringing a huge smile to my face for all the memories. How fun to get to try them again.

I received my machine quickly after I ordered it. It is awesome! 5000 games with great menu options. The controls are top notch and easy to use. The screen and sound are great, and you can take it all with you! I love my machine and I couldn't ask for better quality!

Very fast delivery! The game is enclosed in a metal case and protective peel-away film. Great game collection, and the few I tried so far work well without the need for configuration. You will need to screw/unscrew the joystick, so keep the wrench that’s provided.
