Absolute waste of time! Really feels they are just going to rip you off for return charges. Shipped my hard drive they knew it would require a level 3 data recovery they received my drive and called said they could t do anything because it was helium sealed. Charged me $40 for 2nd day return took over a week to get it back.

My hard drive crashed with all my photos and projects stored on it, and it stopped working afterward. I was devastated, realizing I was about to lose over ten years of work. I created a ticket with Salvage Data, and now, a month and a half later, I have all my images back! The repair wasn’t cheap, but it really depends on how you value the content you're about to lose. A huge thank you to Justin Boothe for his help and quick responses whenever I reached out for updates.

I sent in my external drive for their free quote. The associate was very helpful in explaining the service but the price was over $2K! When I asked to have the drive sent to another company for an alternate quote. The request return process does not allow the customer to view or change the delivery address. I explained to the associate in charge of my case who told me he would change the delivery address on my account so it would be sent directly to the other company and hoped the other company could meet my budget. Guess what just arrived on my doorstep instead of being shipped to the other company? Petty much?

I went to their website to get a generic price quote for what it would take to recover data off a dead NVME, the website had me put in phone number and such, however it just outright *called me*, without warning or consent,

The "problem details" which they state is optional, must be filled in to continue the process

The Next step is an mailing address,
After that it askes for your name and phone number as part of an helpful estimate gathering.

Except the step *immediately after that* they call you, *THEY CALL YOU* without you checking a box that you consent like *every single other website*
And if you miss that call they start texting you, and trying to call you to schedule the drop off despite never being given an estimate.

Unless I have been given an estimate of how much this will cost me, I wont send in my hardware, especially with other reviews stating they just never got their hardware back

RAID crash recovery was seamless. SDR restored everything quickly!

my sd card SanDisk Extreme A2 microSD was unreadable, but this service recovered all my photos and videos from my vacation .

I sent a defective drive to them to repair and a month later have not received any updates on it's status or what is possible. I have called and emailed 10+ times and cannot get a person to reply with when the evaluation will be done and can't get them to send the drive back to me. AVOID!!!

They claim my data was restored but several excel documents won't open and videos don't play like they should. I emailed the excel docs to them to look into. No word yet. I paid over $1400 for the economy deal. A good deal of my data was restored correctly, but I thought successful meant all of it. They didn't test my data very well before they sent it back to me.

George Pavel was incredible in helping me retrieve my data. While they were not able to retrieve all of it (about 75%), they get 5 stars for the incredible effort. I had 2 different organizations prior to this tell me that data retrieval was impossible. When George & his team ran into that same roadblock, they devised another way to get as much of the data as they could. I am tremendously grateful and highly recommend their caring services!

Sent in a drive after my account rep was very nice. Was suppose to get information within 48 hours. After 4 days called leaving a voicemail and emailed, zero response. Followed up again on the fifth day leaving again voicemail and email, again no response from the representative.

6th day called main number and finally spoke to a tech. He promised to have someone follow up with me as it was a Saturday. I asked to have the drive sent back to me.

This place is a joke with no customer service, avoid at all costs!!!

I was devastated when my MacBook Air M2 crashed during a major project. I thought all was lost, but SalvageData came through for me. Their Apple Mac Recovery service was impeccable. Not only did they recover all my project files, but their customer service was also empathetic and informative throughout the process. A life-saver!
