First class experience. Mike is very friendly and helpful.

After buying an e-bike with a relatively powerful battery, I wanted a high-strength, metal enclosure to store the battery (especially during charging). I decided on a coshh cabinet, knowing they're robust and designed to help slow a fire from affecting their contents (and, by extension, vica versa; slowing a fire inside of the cabinet from spreading to furniture and furnishings outside of the enclosure).

Perhaps a coshh cabinet is a bit overkill for an e-bike battery, but these batteries do contain a lot of energy that can discharge aggressively if something goes wrong.

A high quality, thick steel, reinforced cabinet, with some venting (not completely airtight) and on a stand that distances it from flooring/carpets is a conservative safety measure when you're dealing with a battery that stores the same energy as around 8 laptops.

After some research, SafetyBuyer were selling coshh cabinets that met my needs.

1. Clearly very high quality, from a brand called Cabtek
2. With manufacturer reassurances of high strength design, fully welded components and much thicker steel than their competitors
3. Fairly and competitively priced
4. Available with mounting stands for lifting the cabinets off the floor. Good for ease of access (no excessive bending) and also good for safety (keeps the cabinet and contents away from floor surfaces that could be flammable)
5. Not fully sealed or airtight, which is important as you don't want hot gasses building up and then a catastrophic structural failure occuring, obviously.
6. The metalwork and components have a 30 minute fire resistance. This may increase or decrease depending on the type of fire, but provides a standardised baseline of protection.
7. I really like the SafetyBuyer website, it's easy to navigate and has an attractive design.
8. Their pricing is very good and their product range is high quality and not cheap and nasty.
9. Their email support is fast, professional and friendly.
10. Their delivery and dispatch dates are quick.

I originally though I'd ordered the wrong size of stand so I contacted SafetyBuyer to cancel that order. I then realised I had ordered the correct size and so I emailed them again. I got a really lovely, friendly and professional email from Mike, who confirmed the expected delivery timeframe and provided reassurance that my order would proceed as normal. I felt bad for causing confusion but Mike was a pro and created a very positive customer experience that I really appreciated.

Easy ordering process and prompt delivery. Was very easy to install the anti slip tape on my outdoor steps. Not sure how long it will last, only time will tell. Although, I am aware that it is not a permanent solution..

Visited their Web Site and was very impressed with content. Spoke to Mike (GM) about Site Safety Notice Board and 1st Aid Station. I was asked to script what our requirements were, Mike totally understood our requirements and produced our package, we reviewed and asked for adjustments, which again were carried out to our satisfaction. We have a delivery date, all this took 7 working days to receiving our goods. We are so pleased with the service and the end products, well recommended.
