No respect for customers' wishes

I have an official Royal Mail Opt Out in place because I do not want junk mail delivered to my home. I also have a clear notice on my front door asking for no unsolicited advertising or leaflets.
Today, despite both of these, a junk mail leaflet was still delivered. I politely asked the postal worker to take it back, but I was completely ignored.
This shows a complete lack of respect for customers and their clearly expressed wishes. If someone has taken the time to opt out of junk mail and has a visible notice on their door, those wishes should be respected, not ignored.
This level of service is completely unacceptable. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, and their privacy should be taken seriously.

Appalling

Appalling. I paid a customs charge after discovering I needed to by checking the tracking(no card was left to tell me). I set a redelivery date (5 days ago) and the item STILL isn’t here, have wasted at least an hour on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone and help. This is a parcel for my business so I need it! The service is shocking!

Horrible service !!

Horrible service !!! It takes ages for them to deliver your parcel. Paid for tracked 48 and always takes around 7-8 days to be delivered. Also, they are sending so many emails where they change the times and days. It's So frustrating ! Evri/In Post are much better and faster and their tracking information is always spot on. Big shame !

Royal Mail are the WORST…

Royal Mail are the WORST postal/delivery company in my area not only that their customer service is non existent! They’re sneaky underhanded tactics disgust me. On Wednesday, I was notified by email that I’d had deliveries made, as Royal Mail didn’t knock when delivering I KNEW that meant my orders were damaged! Because the sneaky, underhanded people at Royal Mail when they KNOW they’re delivering DAMAGED ITEMS they dump on the doorstep and leg it without knocking because they don’t want you refusing the order or complaining at them. When I went to the door I could see very clearly BOTH BOOK ORDERS WERE HEAVILY DAMAGED! Royal Mail will NOT compensate you they will blame the senders boxes not being sturdy enough for a good kicking at their sort offices! I complained to Waterstones who said ok it’s damaged but it doesn’t stop you reading it (review about them coming next) oh yeah well if I wanted a damaged book would have ordered one if you think it’s ok to send them damaged offer the “heavily damaged” option at checkout and let customers choose because I will never want a damaged book at full price! I will now not order with these two companies again because they use Rogal Mail two more options I’ve lost because of this rotten to the core company with no morals or principles! I’ve photos and videos Royal Mail if you want them but you won’t because you ignore the bad reviews!

Royal Mail are a diabolical company

Royal Mail are a diabolical company. Every time I try to track a parcel I get an error message. 'Tracking Number Not Recognised' or Tracking will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your parcel'. SERIOUSLY??? Are you stuck in the 1980's or just plain useless!!! No wonder other couriers are thriving.

Awful customer service

Customer support is absolutely awful. I had a parcel delivery go to the wrong address and I’ve no idea where it is so phoned up and every time it’s over an hours wait, e mailed them and nothing, left a message on the “how did we do” notification and still nothing. This package was valued at over a hundred pounds and this useless company has not only lost it by having people working for them who obviously can’t do the job but don’t seem to care less about it all.

NO BETTER THAN EVRI - FALSIFYING TRACKING AND LYING ABOUT TRYING TO DELIVER

Would be as well using Evri because this is the crap expected of them not Royal Mail .

More of my parcels as a recipient and sender have went missing in the past 2 months than in the previous 20 years.

We are now getting the same crap we get from Evri "we tried to deliver but you weren't in " " Parcels dumped in public places " " nonsense tracking where it shows a parcel going into the same depot over and over again . Parcels going into a Sorting depot one day out for delivery the next then back at the sorting depot again next day , next day back in sorting depot and out for delivery again and then just not delivered at all. Parcels being returned to sender for no reason . Typical Evri Service !!.

Royal Mail are no better than Evri now - such a shame .

Today 18th July I'd booked and paid for a collection, neighbours were waiting on parcels and other neighbours were sitting outside in the sun near the front door - lo and behold my neighbours find tracking says Royal Mail tried to deliver but no one was in - What ? all 8 homes were empty ....not true all 8 homes were occupied . As for me ? well now I have to go cap in hand to my customer to explain why their order was not posted and will now be Monday at the earliest.

Now me ....an elderly disabled person will now have to spend 2 hours walking to and from two different Bus routes to get to the delivery office to try and post my parcel. Can't go to a PO as Royal Mail were to bring the label.

Never thought I would say this but think I will start using Evri at least there's a 50/50 chance of them showing up or delivering.

ZERO TRUST IN ROYAL MAIL NO AND LOSING TOO MUCH MONEY FROM MISSING PARCELS.

Absolutely rubbish delivery experience

Absolutely rubbish delivery experience. Attempted delivery on Thursday this week but unsuccessful as unbeknown to me, it required a signature, and I wasn’t home. But not to worry, they’ve left a card and it’s coming tomorrow (Friday). But no attempt made, tracking online confirms no activity whatsoever, and instead a delivery on late Saturday afternoon. Bizarrely though, not even a knock at the door, rather left in a cupboard outside and suddenly no signature required. An item worth £430 and nobody even bothers to ring the doorbell. Utterly useless operation!

They delivered to the wrong address two…

They delivered to the wrong address two times in as many weeks. They don’t care about customer service and have shown pictures of the wrong address whilst giving proof of delivery. They have gone down hill since privatisation, prices have risen and service has gone down, sorting centres have been sold off and delivery times have slowed. Really needs severe improvement and pay the posties properly so they don’t steal people’s parcels.

I was at Highbury Pharmacy today 18.7 and witnessed one of your female drivers verbally abusing the pharmacist and front desk lady. The pharmacist was in the middle of helping me with my prescription and the front desk lady was fixing the printer. Your staff member felt she wasn't being seen to quick enough and started yelling at them, calling them disgusting and threatened to complain to their boss. She's got some nerve to do that when it was her that came in and attacked those ladies while they were just doing their job. She needs sacking for this behaviour. I believe she felt she could because the 2 ladies were in headscarves. She behaved like a rascist.

Avoid Royal Mail

Avoid Royal Mail

This review is a continuation of my review of 9th July 2026…

I posted an important legal document to my solicitors via Guaranteed Next day with Tacking and Signature on 12th June 2026.

Surprised at not having heard from the solicitors, I tracked the package and found the Post Office had not delivered it - claiming there was no one in – which seems unlikely!

They had not left a card at the solicitor’s office or contacted me, or returned the package to me. So, I had no idea it had not been delivered.

On the 9th July I visited the Royal Mail website, but couldn’t find any useful help of information. So, I telephoned their help centre an eventually got through after hanging on the line for 40 minutes.

The helpful member of staff traced the package and arranged for another delivery, and told me I would have to seek compensation via their website. The package was delivered on Sat 11th July – only a month late!

Today I received my compensation – a refunded the £10.95 postage! I wasn’t expecting a big payout, but some token recompense for the time and aggravation involved sorting out their mistake would have been welcome.

I would advise anyone sending something important to find another delivery service.
