Useless redirection service, clueless staff

Paid for redirection after we moved house. Royal Mail failed to redirect a parcel which the new owner of our old property took to our estate agents. We’ve rung Royal Mail 3 times and been promised that they would collect and redirect… 4 weeks later we are still waiting. On the last call they advised us to report the parcel lost and claim back from the seller even though we know where it is! We have had to take time off work and do a 60 mile trip to collect it ourselves. Utter incompetence and a waste of money.

Wish I could leave zero

Wish I could leave zero message saying it would be delivered yesterday after being sent to my local delivery office not delivered though now looking at tracking it’s gone from my local delivery office to 50 miles away ! I expect it not to be delivered or message saying missing as usual with Royal Mail nothing but problems and hours wasted on phone to them and wasted time waiting for a delivery that doesn’t get delivered! Can’t understand why if it was at my local delivery office 1 mile up the road it’s now 50 miles away ! Also been advised by Royal Mail when you pay for 48 hour delivery it means nothing it’s just estimated so could be 48 days or months! Absolute joke

Four times in a month I have arranged…

Four times in a month I have arranged for my package to be collected and each time the Royal Mail failed to collect after waiting in all day three times they emailed half an hour after the collection time to say either they couldn’t find my address or some glitch in the system cancelled my collection and Today they failed to collect my package and didn’t even bother to contact to apologise or come up with an excuse and they have a nerve to hike up the price of stamps etc I don’t know how it still exists

Utterly hopeless

Utterly hopeless. Was told my parcel would be collected by 1:30pm and has only just been collected at 6:30pm. Entire day off wasted waiting for a delivery driver who shrugged at me and told me it's "not his problem" You can't blame privatisation for what is ultimately a terribly run logistics department. What has happened to RM? Disgusting

Edit: apparently I can't use coarse language in my review as it may cause someone to cry

Dishonesty is the order of the day

Waited in for a Tracked 48 parcel delivery. At 17:29 an update advised “Delivery Attempted”.
That’s a downright lie Royal Mail, two of us were in waiting all afternoon for your delivery so we could go out. I’ve rearranged to pick-up at a nearby post office instead.
Royal Mail is a classic case of the failure of privatisation - poorer service, increased pricing with its primary focus now on returns for shareholders rather than maintaining a quality service.

Awful service!

This is the second time this has happened, and it’s completely unacceptable.

I stayed home all day waiting for my parcel, yet I received an email saying I wasn’t in. No one knocked on my door, rang the doorbell, or left a red card. The delivery was marked as attempted when no attempt was made.

Very disappointing service. I expect Royal Mail to investigate this recurring issue and improve the accuracy of their delivery updates.

I posted an important (to me) document

I posted an important (to me) document, first class, to be signed for, at lunchtime on a Wednesday. A week later, it still hasn't been delivered. When I track it, it just says "we have your package". Absolutely appalling service!!!

A big thank you

I take Royal Mail for granted, never have a problem, local posties are always brilliant and bend over backwards to make sure stuff is safe and delivered. I spend half my life dealing with complaints and leaving bad reviews for the likes of Evri and Inpost so its about time Royal Mail get a thank you for all the parcels that have been delivered correctly and safely.

Guaranteed delivery by 1pm dont exist at Royal Mail

Paid for guaranteed delivery next day by 1pm when I spoke to Royal mail at 13.50pm my package had not left the depot....no wonder people try to avoid sending anything royal mail as their friggin useless as a postal service while their fat parasite executives get richer and richer by providing a sub standard service. AMAZON should take over from Royal mail
FURTHER INFO: I have since found out that special deliveries that go into the office late should be delivered by managers but the fat useless managers at the Ipswich sorting office aren't interested in doing any work but sit on their fat useless arses.

Parcel left on doorstep went missing

I have bought several items on line from different companies n delivery companies bt royal mail took a photo of a parcel on my doorstep, they didn't knock or ring my bell n it wasn't there when I went to my doorstep, I have never had any item taken before, bt i have the opinion that the delivery person took the photo n then took my parcel with them my reason for this is my nephew who has worked for royal mail for 10+ years n says it a common problem with this company disgusting breach of trust in my opinion beware. Tiktok or the seller both done what they said this is just disappearing parcel from royal mail
Thank you

THE ABSOLUTE PITS!!

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS CRAP. THEY CHARGE FOR COLLECTION. THEN DON'T COLLECT. THEY OFFER 24hr TRACKED AND DON'T DELIVER. THEY OFFER SIGNED FOR AND DUMP IT WITHOUT A SIGNATURE. THEY HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER AND YOU WAIT FOR 35mins TO HEAR EXCUSES. THEY OFFER COMPENSATION, BUT DON'T GIVE YOU ANY FOR DELAYED POST. AS I SAID...CRAP

Not so reilable

Not so reilable, cannot stick to their delivery times even in non 'extreme' conditions. Parcels often end up coming two or three days later than they are expected to be. They make it super had to make a claim, when they're at fault. However they do handle packages with care.

Yet again another lost parcel

Yet again another lost parcel, the title for worst courier is between Royal Mail and Evri, both terrible couriers.
I’ve currently been on hold to Royal Snail for 28 minutes and my current wait time is still 21 minutes, that just shows you how bad they are.
Something needs to be done about these couriers and there poor service. They loose millions of parcels every year and never get any punishment. People are trusting them with them goods and they just loose them and all you get is a sorry. It’s just not good enough.
