As much as possible we want a click on Roots to feel like a trip around a nursery. Company failed to meet expectations
Despite having ordered a shrub well in advance for a birthday gift to be delivered on a specified date, I was first told the chosen item wasn’t available, but there was an alternative … only then to be told, having accepted that option, the collection had gone for the day, so there was no chance of having it delivered as requested. This company has failed in so many areas and clearly needs to determine whether it can meet its marketing promises.

Not as advertised
I ordered one of the mixed pond plant selections for small ponds at a cost of £110. I received a random hotch potch of plants, some of which were not suitable for the pond at all, and weren't what the website had indicated. I expected floating plants, and plants for medium to deep water which is what the website described. However, they sent at least 4 plants to go into boggy margins at the edges... I have a concrete patio pond with absolutely no shallow boggy edges!
I asked for replacements under their returns policy which said returns for any reason would be honoured. An email reponse said this was not the case, and I could not return them.
A real shame as packaging and delivery was great. The products were not.

A*** looks stunning in my porch.
I ordered a tree fern and a Japanese Maple. Delivery was fast but the plants were way better than expected. Judging by the pics online, I was expecting quite an undeveloped tree fern but it had lots of leaves and new growth so it looks stunning in my porch. The Maple is also great. Really excellent value and no complaints whatsoever! I nearly went to Crocus but so glad I took a punt on Roots Plants. Will buy again xxx

Easy to pick and order the plant/flowers etc. I bought a rose and it was delivered quickly and the rose looked really well looked after and packed well in the box. It's growing great and buds are coming through. Definitely recommend

Anniversary Gift
I used ‘Roots’ to buy my wife a Calamondin Tree from our 35th Wedding Anniversary. I found the whole experience easy and trouble free. They have a very comprehensive website with great variety and informative detail on product and product care.
The delivery took a little longer than expected but the tree arrived in great condition and is now enjoying prime position on the patio in a fab new pot. Would happily recommend to anyone based on my experience.
