The updates ruined the fun part of the game.

Parents beware! I’m particularly disappointed in Apple and the Roblox in app purchase methodology. My son recently joined the Roblox community with my permission. Somehow he was granted permission to make purchases as a default setting, rather than with parental permission, and I do monitor all purchases. 3 days later and 4 purchases later I notice what’s happened. I have to sign up to take over control of the permissions! Why? I don’t with other games or purchases!
I complain to Apple citing the issue and requesting refund- final decision no refund. No grounds for appeal. It’s not big money but it’s not the point. I feel ripped off, Parents beware of that inappropriate default setting!

the recent updates SUCK
they are requiring everyone to do an age check to chat, and soon will restrict games too, roblox was better in 2019 when i first started.

I am 13 years old. My Roblox account denischeeck (created July 29, 2021) is currently flagged as "Verified 21+" with full access to adult content. Why? Because I mistakenly used my parent's ID for age verification — and Roblox considers this a permanent, irreversible error.

What happened:
- My account is permanently locked to the VNG (Vietnam) region.
- I have full access to voice chat and adult games.
- I contacted Roblox-VNG support multiple times (tickets #160525751, #162043975, #162373225, #164756759).
- Roblox refused to help. Their only response: "We cannot update age settings. Create a new account."

I filed an official complaint with the FTC / ICPEN (Reference #200391024). Yes, the US Federal Trade Commission. My complaint is now in the international Consumer Sentinel database, shared with law enforcement across 65+ countries.

This company is more concerned with automated systems than with fixing a clear, provable child safety emergency. If you value your child's safety, think twice before letting them spend money here.

Roblox Corporation, do the right thing: Reset my age verification to 13+ and move my account back to the Global region.

I still play it because its fun but roblox is ruining it, i wish they stopped updating the game because it's community driven and no one will care about roblox's own efforts except for game moderation.

I hope the ceo steps down or reverts all of these updates.

Updates i disliked

Setting friends to connections (Now reverted) too corporate

Settings games to experiences, too corporate

Age groups : Restrict communication too much, and makes it easier for preds to talk to kids by using alt accounts of their desired age.

Layered clothing : Mostly filled with slop that takes 2 seconds to make and always comes up first prompting to me to specifically search for classic clothing

Dynamic faces only : This isn't an issue but the modellers for the faces made the faces ugly and the faces should move with vc for people who don't wanna share their face cam and the player should have a toggle button to force the face in a certain position.

New game publishing for all ages requirements (Not implemented yet) : The security checks required are annoying but harmless and actually positive, however it is annoying and greedy that you need roblox plus to do it which will almost certainly stop many future big games made by talented children who cant get roblox plus for whatever reason.

This game has so many pedophiles that when I tried playing Bombastic Femboy Twerk Simulator like 18 80 year old men tried adding me on ToCatchAChild.com and my balls fell into a paper shredder so I fled to Adrian, Georgia cos Georgia(state) is suing Roblox

Honestly i used to love roblox, but the recent updates have ruined it. You cannot chat without submitting your ID, which if it gets leaked would be a huge issue and its just not nescesarry. Aswell as this, they keep removing the classic things like old faces, and the devs do NOT listen to us players at all. Its like they want to loose players. Also in one of their videos on social media, they made fun of acne, which i know can be a big insecurity for some people which is just not okay for anyone, let alone a multi million dollar company to be doing. Hope this has been helpful. The games ruined.
