Not too expensive and great service,
Quick efficient and helpful would definitely use them again.
Rightio are quick stack up the charges…
Rightio are quick to respond to a call-out but charge over £200 fir a 5 minute assessment. After that you wait several days for a quote which offers vastly overpriced parts and a generous estimate of labour - again at over £200 /hour. I was quoted a total of near £1000 for repairs that cost under £300. Please search online before using these greedy traders

Waste of a day
I have waited in all day for these CLOWNS. I was told between 08.00 and 12.00 when I phoned at 12.05 I was told they could not get through to the engineer but they had left a message for him/her to phone me with an eta. No phone call till 18.15 from the office offering next Wednesday. I declined and cancelled.

Great Company…
From the gentleman I first spoke to was very helpful explaining company procedures and pricing. The engineer was polite explained a few things a bout lock types and what would be best for my age group.Rightio are a credit to themselves and work force .THANKYOU.
Avoid!!!
Useless! I had an emergency plumbing issue at my elderly parents’ house in Darlington. I called them at 5pm and they said someone would be there that night. Nobody called and no one showed up. The office closes at 7pm so I couldn’t get through tonight anyone. It’s supposed to open at 7am but was still going to a machine at 7:30am. Terrible company!!
Nightmare trying to get an estimate for…
Nightmare trying to get an estimate for several little electrical jobs I need doing. Started in January - paid a lot on hourly rate for 2 small jobs doing. Was advised to ask for a quote for a new hob and electric towel rail fitting etc. Never came but when I had paid the high price for the first job I decided to try local workmen. Waited and waited and have been let down 3 times so Fri 27th March rang Righteo again and asked for a quotation - they said they had put it through but also gave me the number of that department presumably so I could chase it. Waited until Tuesday30th and rang that number. Was told William would ring me later that day. Didn’t happen. Waited until today Tuesday 7th April and instead of an apology and a solution I had to listen to a man telling me how many operators they had in the room he was in and how good they are. I tried to cut him off whilst he was trying to tell me why I wasn’t right about having to wait and he kept repeating ‘let me finish’ not understanding at all that they’ve wasted enough of my time already so I told him to forget it - so I have to start again looking for an electrician.
Just be very wary using this company
Just be very wary using this company. Called them to replace a faulty shower. I already had the new unit.
Plumber came said he couldn’t do the job. Was in my house 30 mins.
Was charged £177 for what I was told would be an hourly rate to swap out the shower.
Company said they would look into giving me a partial refund. Had to call them twice. Was told I couldn’t speak to the complaints department.
They called me eventually . Said no refund would be given as they carried out a diagnostic visit.
So not an hours work. Or the replacement. The advert clearly states payment not taken till the job is completed. The plumber took the front panel off the old shower and that was it. The job wasn’t completed.
Woman on the phone was awful. Rude and patronising.
Company are awful.
Will never use ever again.
Dangerous, irresponsible company
I think this is the first 1 star review I've ever given any company, which highlights how seriously Rightio failed me. This was regarding landlord gas safety checks, so not something to mess with. We booked the checks plus remedial works. The work was given to a local plumber who immediately told us we needed a new boiler. He also said not to use Rightio for this as they would charge us much more. We then received an acknowledgement of cancellation for the remedial works (which we hadn't cancelled) and an invoice for the gas safety checks, which we paid. The invoice was made out to a 'Mr Unknown' and had 'CP14' on the description line. This is the official name for the gas safety certificate. We chased the plumber for the gas safety certificate who eventually sent a document. But this was a boiler safety certificate. When I pushed back about the Gas Safety Certificate he said he couldn't do it because of the works that needed doing first. As I had lost trust in him by that point, I got someone else in who got us a CP12 in one afternoon. I reached out to Rightio by email and recorded delivery letter for a refund because they had not carried out the Gas Safety checks we had paid for. They didn't respond. I even reached out to the founders on LinkedIn to offer feedback, but that was ignored. I was prepared to get Gas Safe involved to investigate and contact Trading Standards but my BH didn't want the hassle. So Rightio, you deserve this 1 star review, and if you have any morality, you can donate the £180 you stole from me to the Fire Service who are the ones who would see the tragic results of messing around with gas safety legislation.
Called Rightio first thing to report a leaking tap
Called Rightio first thing to report a problem with a leaking tap. They were extremely efficient and had a plumber with me within an hour of calling them. No job too small and excellent customer service. Would reccommend.
I WAS COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF BY RIGHTIO
I was completely ripped off by rightio, I made a complaint waited 6 weeks for a response which wasn’t satisfactory, I escalated the complaint 2 weeks ago and haven’t received a reply.
DO NOT USE

Fitted new soil pipe from existing pipe…
Fitted new soil pipe from existing pipe work to bathroom which I discovered had come apart two days later because of the smell. Reconnected it myself and cleaned mess up. Had air the rooms out for days. Not a good experience would not recommend to others. Have taken photos.
Would give zero stars
Would give zero stars. Attended property 4 times and failed to rectify basic fault.
Had to get another company out to resolve issue who fixed it in 5 mins
Do not use they are a bunch of charlatans disguised as engineers

Steer clear of this company!
Our gas boiler recently broke down and we saw this company advertised in our local village gazette. The local number and the lay-out suggested it was a local, family concern. We found out later that it wasn’t! Very misleading. It was a firm miles away! Consequently the Gazette cancelled their advert forthwith having had several other complaints.
Rightio sent an engineer who inspected the boiler and then diagnosed a faulty pump. It was clear that he didn’t have a clue what he was doing, confirmed subsequently when his diagnosis proved to be wrong.
We complained to Rightio and received a reply but when we challenged this several times we heard nothing more.
What a pity we hadn’t read the reviews beforehand particularly from the BBC programme The One Show!
The engineer wouldn’t proceed further unless we agreed to wreck a bedroom to locate a zone valve, even though I assured him that our system was a very simple one that didn’t need such a valve. (I am an advanced plumber and have lived with our heating system for 30 years). Not being satisfied with our assurance he left without further action and we were charged £226 for his visit. This was supposed to be a reduced price for OAPs. We think it was a scam to rip off the elderly having first asked our age!!
A local gas engineer recommended by a neighbour subsequently came, replaced the gas valve and had the boiler working perfectly at a very reasonable cost. He remarked that the pump was in excellent order!
Use this firm at your peril!

Booked a day off of work to have my…
Booked a day off of work to have my boiler repaired. 20 minutes after the due arrival time I received a call from Rightio saying the engineer had attended my property and there was nowhere to park. That was a blatant lie as I had checked the parking situation. I live at the end of a cul de sac and all my neighbours were out. There are no parking restrictions. The call centre said they would contact the engineer to come back but I don't feel any confidence in having a dishonest person working on my boiler now. If there was some genuine reason why they couldn't attend then they should be honest and not try to blame me for their problem. Don't take time off work expecting them to turn up. Don't book them at all.
Overall ok but unable to deal with my problem
Plumber arrived a few hours after I reported water coming out of a pipe which I didn't have the knowledge or kit to repair myself. He unfortunately was unable to effect a repair as he thought a pipe was blocked, but his equipment was not sufficient to reach the blockage and suggested I use a specialist firm like Dyno Rod instead. He did at least waive all charges as he wasn't able to effect a repair, but I had to call the firm again the next day as they sent me a request for payment. In fairness they did cancel the payment request without any quibbling or pushback. Four stars as they were fairly effective overall but unable to carry out the work needed due to unforseeable circumstances.
