Great service from Brisbane Riffs and Licks

I've had really great service from the Brisbane store. I'm pretty new to guitar playing but the team have always treated me generously and with respect. I traded my first electric guitar there for a new Eastman and have also just bought a Fender amp, and the guys have always been really helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I did have a glitch in an online order for strings once but when I called the store they sorted it out that afternoon and the strings arrived the next day. I think they're a really great store with staff who care about music and musicians and I recommend them.

Poor customer service

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent online order for a sustain pedal. After 8 days with no delivery or update, I contacted the Gold Coast branch and was advised the order was processed by Brisbane.
Upon contacting the Brisbane branch, I was initially told the opposite. When I raised this inconsistency, I was then informed the item is not in stock and may take 6–8 weeks to arrive.
This lack of clear communication and contradictory information is highly unprofessional and disappointing.

Hi, I apologise if you received inconsistent information regarding your order. Unfortunately the item you purchased was bought by another customer online a few hours before you placed your order. We were expecting to supply your order from our supplier warehouse but there was a delay in them receiving more stock. This delay should've been communicated to you & I apologise if it wasn't. As you've purchased off us previously, I believe you would recognise that this is not a usual circumstance for our business. We will strive to do better in the future.

Great Service !!!

Placed an order online for a few hard to find items and the order was filled and sent very quickly. Unfortunately there was a very minor hiccup with the order, but a brief phone call to an extremely helpful and courteous member of their team resulted in the issue being resolved quickly and without hesitation. Such service in these days of companies only being interested in customers' money, but not the customer themselves, is a delight. Great company with great service.

Shipping extremely slow

I placed and online order on 11 Dec and they despatched the order the same day. 9 days later, I called the Brisbane shop for a second time and they still cant tell me where my order is with Sendle and cannot provide any tracking details.
My advise is spend a bit of money with a reputable courier company for a better customer experience.

Your tracking number was provided to you on the 11th Dec, so you have the same tracking information we have. Your parcel is still within delivery estimates - this has been advised to you already. The courier network is severely backlogged leading into Christmas, so we ask for patience as your package is still on the way. We are not the courier, only the retailer, so of course we cannot tell you exactly where your parcel is - only that it's still moving and within delivery estimates. Regarding the courier service, Sendle use Couriers Please and Aramex which are both well regarded national couriers. As you did not pay for shipping on your order (free shipping offer), we the retailer make the determination on which courier service is most viable based on package size, delivery postcode, courier cost etc. You can of course contact us at anytime prior to ordering, if you prefer to pay extra for an express delivery service.

Knowledgeable floor staff

Knowledgeable floor staff. They do really good specials. Only negative I can think of is during my last purchase, there was a floor manager reprimanding staff about some minor issue in front of customers which was not a good look. Whoever that manager was needs to do that stuff in the back rooms away from customers. It soured my experience but I'll still go back.

Riffs and Licks ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Dealt with both Riffs and Licks stores in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. The guys are always helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve bought from both stores and left guitars on consignment, never had any problems. The stores both have a good range of stock. I live right in between both stores so I often go to the Gold Coast store due to the parking situation being better. The only down side I can think of is the Brisbane store only has a few car parks out front (maybe 5) it’s a busy area and if you can’t find a park out front you may have to park considerable distance away which I’ve had to do on occasions. But overall well worth a look. Much better than the other Fortitude Valley music store which shall go unnamed.
