I just tested out a pair of their socks on a hiking trip on the AT in the chilling weather. They sure kept my feet warm and comfortable the whole trip!!
My only concern would be if they would hold over a truly long hike. The outer layer of the wool started to gather around backside due to the excessive use.
I believe normal wear use they will hold up greatly.
