We have spent weeks researching polestar and have spoken to people that know the brand and have given us the impression that it’s not only a poor quality product that’s not worth the money or effort we are so glad we didn’t part with our hard earned cash.

It’s been five months since I started driving my Polestar 4, coming from Tesla Model Y-and I have to say, P4 is a phenomenal car. It’s easily ten times better than the Tesla in many ways. The software could use a bit refinement, but overall, it’s an exceptional vehicle. The range is great, it’s effortless to drive, and even after 400 miles in a day, it doesn’t leave you feeling tired. The build quality is impressive-true luxury with a high-end interior, excellent sound system, and sleek aerodynamics. I’ve driven 6000 miles in five months and absolutely love it. There have been few minor software glitches, but nothing that bothered me. A quick reset fixed everything, just like rebooting a phone or computer. On one occasion I reached out to customer service through the Polestar app, they resolved my issue within ten minutes- it’s been flawless ever since. Thanks

Firstly, my polestar 2 is amazing and I am ordering another 2026 model early next year.
Secondly, Josh was superb on the phone yesterday as I am a technophobe and he talked me through step by step and the app/car system is working perfectly with my new phone. I can't thank Josh enough for his patience and knowledge.

Hi my has just had a very poor experience with polestar due to charging issues.Her car went into the Volvo garage & was given courtesy car through polestar. My wife’s car is a lease car through NHS fleet.
The car was not looked at till after 7 days being in the workshop, meanwhile she was charged £15 per day extra to bring the excess charge down, which mounted up to £165 just to be told the setting was incorrect as it was set to 50% charge on the car even though it was set as 100% on the app. We feel very let down by Polestar & will not be recommending Polestar to either friends/ colleagues or family unless this matter is resolved.

Very disappointing experience with Polestar Plymouth!
I expected a premium level of professionalism from Polestar Plymouth, but my experience was anything but. The team failed to follow proper DVLA protocols and made several administrative mistakes that I had to repeatedly point out before anything was corrected.
Despite their “no quibble” promise, it took 26 days and multiple reminders for them to refund my reservation fee — something that should have been straightforward. The lack of communication and accountability throughout was extremely frustrating and completely out of line with the brand’s image.
Polestar should seriously review the standards and processes at this location — it’s far from the seamless, professional experience customers are led to expect

The new keepers slip that you believe I received is not only illegible it’s also not been filled as per the law. My ins is invalid the car is parked up, and this is why you will be getting your car back shortly.

Had a test drive Polestar 4 for a week, despite some issues with the vehicle (speed limit recognition), the company quickly try to give me support.
Mine is now on order and cant wait for it to arrive.

I love my Polestar 2 Car, it’s beautifully put together, blisteringly quick and a pleasure to drive.
It’s not without glitches though - phantom ‘propulsion service required’ messages (meaning a wasted day off and trip to a garage to be told there’s nothing wrong), DAB refusing to connect, infotainment and maps initialising for way too long (and surely if you set the car to warm-up then the infotainment system should be ready when you get in?) - but overall my feelings for the car and the company are positive.
The App, however, is pretty awful and unreliable, and really lets the car’s functionality down. Charging timing and pre-conditioning failures can give sleepless nights when an early start with a full battery is needed. I’ve been stood on the drive or sat in the car at 3am on numerous occasions trying to sort out why the car isn’t charging or online to communicate with charger.
UPDATE: I have upped my rating from 3 to 4 and removed the comment about my biggest gripe (the ability to actually contact anyone), as their phone systems have been fine since my complaint and I later found that Polestar had replied, but their emails had gone into my spam folder, so they can't be blamed for that!

Great EV - particularly well made and if looked after reliable. The performance from the dual motor is very very good - defo quicker than my previous Model Y. The range is adequate ( pre facelift) and the boot is decent.

I’ve owned my P2 for nearly 4 years from new. When it’s working well, the car is just superb. However, I’ve suffered multiple flat 12v batteries, the software seems to be getting slower and slower, and the AC onboard charger failed. It has taken two months to get the issue resolved with Polestar accepting 50% of the repair costs. On one extremely positive note, the customer service rep I’ve been dealing with on the OBC issue has been absolutely excellent. He has done everything in his power to get this resolved expeditiously and has been unfailingly courteous.

I've had a few issues since getting my Polestar 4 delivered. Tried contacting Polestar directly, but so far had no reply at all (couple of weeks). Here's a list of problems, mostly software:
Lots of connections issues with keyfob, card key and phone key - took 3 days of trying different things to get it to work.
I’m using phone key now, but every time I walk past the car, it opens or locks. This isn’t great when I’m working in my garage ( near the car ).
The rear view mirror use with prescription glasses is probably an unnecessary hazard. Hope I'm still covered for insurance.
Still can’t get Apple car play to work.
There should be a start/stop button on entry and exit - just getting out while all systems are still active feels wrong. Sometimes the car auto locks, sometimes not.
The music stays on when you leave (until locked) but doesn’t automatically restart on re-entry.
Having to turn off the speed click noise (which often show incorrect limits) and lane warning system on every journey isn’t wanted.
The build quality is excellent, but I've taken a dislike to it, entirely due to software glitches - please solve, Polestar.

The latest aggravation from having bought a new polestar. Polestar did not supply a tool to unlock the wheels with the car and want to charge 176 to replace the wheel locking nuts. The delivery acceptance doesn’t mention the tool but despite that they are relying on it to say it must have been with the car. Normally with a proper company like bmw or Mercedes they would have a competent dealer to sort out the problem instead of robotic jobsworths in a contact centre who don’t appear to have much knowledge of cars. I won’t be buying another when the lease is up, I’ll go back to a proper brand. I can’t recommend them.

Great customer service despite some car issues
I’ve had a few issues with my Polestar, which has been a bit disappointing given the expectations I had for the brand. That said, the customer service from Jacob has been excellent throughout. He’s always replied promptly, been polite, helpful, and genuinely tried to resolve my concerns. It’s reassuring to deal with someone who takes customer care seriously — it’s made a big difference to an otherwise frustrating experience.
