Good support and follow-up from Craig at Polestar. Checked with me each day what was happening with the car and the feedback from the garage investigating the fault. The logged fault was "pre-charge contactor stuck" - it seems to have been resolved by a firmware update, presumably a marginal timing issue.

I took delivery of a brand-new Polestar 3 through a company lease on 20 April 2026. Unfortunately, after driving just 48 miles, the vehicle suffered a major malfunction and has been undrivable ever since.
The car has now been sitting at the Polestar service centre for an entire month with no confirmed diagnosis and no indication of when — or even if — it will be repaired. The technicians themselves have admitted they still do not know what the issue is and are waiting for guidance from Polestar in Sweden.
What’s most frustrating is the complete lack of meaningful communication. The latest update I received was effectively that there was “no update.” I’m repeatedly being told that Polestar are still investigating, but nobody can provide a timeframe, a solution, or any reassurance.
Apparently, Polestar have instructed the technicians to repeatedly turn the vehicle on and off every few hours while they monitor logs remotely, which even the technicians seem confused by. After nearly four weeks, they openly admit they are no closer to understanding the fault.
This is an £80,000–£90,000 vehicle, and the level of customer service and support has honestly been shocking. I have requested termination of the lease agreement through Arval due to the ongoing situation, but I’ve been told we must continue waiting for Polestar to attempt repairs — despite there being no defined timeline or progress.
At this stage, I’m simply left in limbo:
* One month without the vehicle
* No diagnosis
* No repair date
* No clear communication
* No resolution
For a premium brand and flagship vehicle, this experience has been extremely disappointing.

I got a used Polestar 2 through a different garage, but needed the Polestar services to change the owner on the system. Once I had the V5C all it took was 3 minutes on the chat with them.
The car itself is also really good, no complaints.

I visited the Polestar dealer in Bicester.
I must say that the level of service provided was very high.
I’m now looking forward to receiving my Polestar 4 in September.
Big thanks to Elliot Green for the support — a very helpful young man.

Contacted support with an issue with the digital key. Adeel talked me through the steps needed and also emailed me the instructions which solved the problem.
Adeel also followed up a few days later to enquire if the problem had been resolved.
Great knowledge and expertise resulting in brilliant customer service.

The experience I have had with Polestar customer service since taking delivery of my new Polestar has been superb.
If you have an issue with your Polestar, ring or email them and they will sort it out.

Great customer service from Polestar, providing advice on transfer of ownership having bought a Polestar 2 from an independent garage. Also advised on recoding of keys and identified my closest Polestar service agent to arrange future MoT.

Polestar customer service is great. I had a couple of issues since i bought my 5-year old car. Both problems were resolved quickly. My air con was blowing warm air in hot weather which is not great in the summer. Took it to one of recommended garages and the problem was investigated and fixed under the warranty. Polestar provide two year warranty on the used cars if bought throw them - Definity worth it!
Tayla was very helpful in resolving an issue and followed up on my case to make sure its sorted.

Whilst driving my car on the motorway at high speed, the warning lights on my dash all simultaneously flashed on and I got a warning message stating that I should stop safely due to brake failure. I was able to manoeuvre the vehicle onto the hard shoulder and come to a rolling stop. At that point I was unable to:
- place the car into park
- put it into neutral
- apply the handbrake
- remote lock or unlock the vehicle
- turn the lights off
- access the boot of the vehicle
Essentially there appeared to be a catastrophic system failure disabling most if not all of the safety features and electronic features on the vehicle.
Subsequently, talking to Polestar, they have informed me that they need to do a product liability investigation and that I need to fill out some forms as part of that investigation. From the point at which I fill out the forms, they will no longer provide me with mobility (i.e. they will remove access to the hire car that they have given me) whilst they are working on my vehicle.
I asked them what would happen if I did not sign the forms and they said words to the effect of: they will fix the vehicle for return to me but would not do a full product liability diagnosis of the underlying cause of the issue. I am therefore in a position where the company does not appear to be willing to carry out an appropriate investigation unless it is at my inconvenience. I have also requested multiple times to speak to a manager at Polestar but have been told this is not possible.

I recently purchased a three year old Polestar 2 long range dual motor, so far I’m overly impressed with the vehicle, from the build quality to the performance, to the infotainment system, to the polestar App, there’s nothing I would change. Charging the vehicle is extremely easy, the driving pleasure is imo better than my prior m240i bmw, some of the perks I rely love are the ability to schedule the car to warm the cabin and seats before I get in the car in the morning, the ability to remote lock the car from eg inside the house, the performance is great however I love the fact that I can purchase a performance upgrade of an additional 50kw’s +_ over the air (no need to go into the dealer), and this is a certified upgrade via Polestar. I also rely enjoy using Google assistant, and the ability to load various apps such as car play, Spotify. I’m also very impressed with the polestar support whom reply quickly and ensure your questions are fully answered, as well as being very quick to perform any requests (thanks Alex). If your tinkering with the thought of an EV, go test drive a polestar! (dual motor if you want a bit of speed).

Emily was a pleasure to deal with. My issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently and I was updated at every point in the process.

Not a trust worthy dealership. They will squeeze your part exchange and all. Won't answer any of your questions once the deal was closed. I think Polestar has to really work harder on salesman's ethics.

Id like to praise the Customer Service team who I spoke to, too many times while trying to sort out a problem getting the Polstar Eenergy App going.
To the Customer Service Team merit they persisted with support to get to the bottom of my technical IT problems. Thank you
For the Energy App Team if you are unable to take calls to support customers then a system where you call them back, could be added, so as problems can be sorted completely. An email system, some of which just seemed to have been A1 generated left questions unanswered and replies delayed too often by another day.

Bought a car from Polestar website with 6,000 miles on the clock. Collected from Polestar in Wakefield but aircon doesn’t work. They told me to take it to my local Volvo dealership for repair, (Stoneacre Sunderland). 10 days later, no fix and no communication. I’ve contacted the original dealer plus Stoneacre head office and Polestar head office. Each time they say Stoneacre Sunderland service have said they are just about to call me. They never do.
I can only recommend atm you don’t buy a Polestar or deal with Stoneacre if you have an issue.
Update 19th May 2026 - Original dealer has offered to take the car back and implement a fix with Volvo in Wakefield. This seems a better course of action than persevering with Sunderland. I’m happy with this course of action.

I recently purchased a used polestar 2 and am absolutely over the moon with it! All the fear mongering of range anxiety and quality issues are entirely unfounded in my experience. One month in and I couldn't be happier.
The biggest take away has been the absolute epitome of professionalism from the customer support team. I only had a slight issue with the transfer of ownership on polestars side, so I could access all the app based wonders.. One call is all it took, with constant communication from their end. What a night and day experience after leaving the BMW family after all these years.
Craig, if you're out there and reading this, people such as yourself are the lifeblood of any customer focused business, irrespective of product. I cannot thank you enough for all of your help.
