My Polestar 4 was unfortunately delivered with damage to the tailgate, which was disappointing at the outset. While there was a period where progress seemed slow, this was not due to Polestar Customer Support, and it’s important to recognise the difference.
Throughout the process, the communication and support from both Polestar Customer Support and the local franchised Polestar dealership and body shop have been excellent. They have consistently kept me updated, been responsive to my questions, and have worked hard to ensure the issue was resolved as smoothly as possible.
Beyond the initial problem, the car itself has been fantastic. I genuinely love driving it, and the Polestar 4 has exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, performance, technology, and overall ownership experience.
What has stood out most is the level of customer service I’ve received throughout. Even when dealing with an unexpected issue, the professionalism, communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction have given me confidence in the brand.
Based on both the vehicle and the support I’ve received, I would have no hesitation in choosing Polestar again and would certainly consider ordering another Polestar in the future and would recommend to others for the same.

I made a booking in a rush only to need to change it! Customer Services, namely Tayla, was there instantly to help me rearrange it, taking on the ownership of rescheduling, planning and finalising it all for me. Tayla was very efficient, prompt and extremely helpful in sorting this out for me! Excellent communications, prompt responses!! Not often do I see this level of service anywhere often! Well done and thank you so very much! Excellent job!

I’ve been very happy with the support given so far. I’ve only had to add a changed V5C and had a few questions. Connected to an agent very quickly and issues/questions resolved efficiently.

The worst electric car and customer service I have experienced
My Polestar 3 has covered only 1,000 miles, and I have now been informed that the battery has failed and requires replacement.
The problems started when the car repeatedly went into limp mode at around 50% battery capacity. When I initially reported this to the Volvo dealership, I was rudely told that there was nothing wrong with the car and that the reduced range was caused by my driving and the cold weather.
I have previously owned electric cars from both Kia and Tesla, so I fully understand that cold weather can affect battery range. However, neither of those cars went into limp mode with 50% charge remaining. The Polestar 3 has been by far the worst electric vehicle I have owned, both in terms of reliability and the overall ownership experience.
The fault was only discovered when I took the car in for a factory recall. While carrying out the recall work, the dealership finally identified that there was, in fact, a serious problem with the battery.
That was three months ago. I am continually told that the replacement parts are on back order and that the vehicle is classed as VOR—Vehicle Off Road—but nobody can provide an estimated repair date. It could be weeks or potentially several more months.
Communication from the Volvo dealership has been extremely poor. They rarely answer the telephone and do not return calls. To make matters worse, I have received messages stating that other customers have been waiting even longer, as though I should be grateful that my situation is not as bad as theirs.
I deeply regret buying a Polestar. My previous experiences with Kia and Tesla were considerably better. A vehicle with only 1,000 miles should not suffer a major battery failure, and a customer should not be left without a proper solution or timescale for three months.

Having delivered my Polestar 2 the Driver Instrument cluster was not working correctly and the only thing you can make out is the speedometer. I was assured that it would be fixed quickly and was booked in 2 weeks later to have it done at Virtu Volvo Plymouth. I was told that the new unit would be put on order and in stock ready for when the car was booked in.
Upon arrival told the new screen had not arrived yet as it had to come from Sweden. Not sure why two weeks is not long enough! Anyway they still wanted to the car to take any fault code readings and had the car for two days to achieve this. Was then told they need the report back from Polestar before continuing with any work. Told the report normally takes 48 to 72hrs. Almost now two weeks later and chasing and no report, no information as to when.
This was a brand new car and now been over a month without a working display.
Contacted Polestar on the customer service site to try and get help two weeks ago and not even a reply. Absolutely shocking service. Shame as I like the car but now feeling I've just bought hassle that I really don't need.

On 8/7/2026 my wife and I visited the barrack road ,Leeds showroom to take a test drive we were met by Matt who was so friendly and respective of our needs.
He helped me with the drive as it was my 1st automatic he was patient and gave me the confidence to drive it.
Matt was very professional and knew every detail of the vehicle.
He introduced us to his manager Jordon who again was great, friendly and not pushy in anyway whatsoever, finally we purchased the vehicle and Matt handled all the paper work and my trade in vehicle as if he had been doing it for years.
Matt is the youngest of the sales team but showed great maturity knowledge and enthusiasm, he is a credit to Polestar and hope they acknowledge that.
Caroline also helped with the sale and again she was brilliant, smiling and friendly.
The parting of money and buying our vehicle became a pleasant experience.
The whole team were the best we have encountered in 40 years
Thank you all for helping make it bearable
We will be recommending this sales company to all

I’ve had a pretty disappointing experience so far with Polestar with regards to my new car being faulty. However, the way Darren has looked after me , I absolutely can’t complain. He called me back when he said he would and sorted out a hire car to enable me to carry on working. Thanks and lot and hopefully the issue with my car will be fixed soon.

Appalling Customer Service & Broken Promises – Do Not Trust This Dealership
I am writing this review to warn others about the shocking treatment, broken agreements, and completely unprofessional behavior I have experienced from the management team at Paul Rigby Polestar Birmingham.
My ordeal started when I traveled all the way from Glasgow to Birmingham with my family, including a 1.5-year-old baby, to pick up our car. Upon arrival, we were told the vehicle could not be handed over due to a major technical fault. At the time, the manager on duty, Paul Thomas, gave us a courtesy car so we could travel back safely and explicitly promised that the dealership would fully reimburse all our electric charging costs due to the massive inconvenience.
The dealership kept our car for 3 weeks. Shortly after it was returned, the same issue happened again. It was taken back for another week, only for them to return it claiming it was "totally fine."
It is absolutely not fine. I have paid a massive amount of money and am now driving a premium vehicle with three serious, immediate faults:
1. Severe Battery Drain: The battery is consuming power far quicker than baseline specifications.
2. Steering Friction: There is a heavy mechanical rubbing feeling through the wheel when turning left.
3. Motorway Whistling: A loud, prominent wind whistle at speed caused by a highly visible gap where the windscreen fails to meet the black A-pillar cosmetic trim.
To make matters worse, when I submitted the charging receipts for the courtesy car as agreed, the new manager, Phillip Schalder, flatly refused to pay the remaining balance. When called out on it, he was incredibly rude, dismissive, and confrontational on the phone.
To avoid paying me, he retrospectively claimed the courtesy car was returned dirty—completely ignoring the fact that his own representative signed a handover form upon return stating the vehicle was in a "clean and serviceable condition."
They have left a family with an infant driving a faulty vehicle, broken their financial promises, and treated us with zero empathy. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Polestar Head Office has been notified.

Shocking customer service and poorly built cars. Like a Temu version of a Volvo.
Car has been in the garage since I bought it six months ago, only to have it retuned last week with the fault still there. Rang Polestar to be told sorry it’s now out of warranty! Couldn’t even make up how poor the service is. For over a week someone was going to call me back, everyday I’ve rang to be told it’s out of warranty now and someone will call me back. The last guy told me to buy an extended warranty and take it to Volvo, where it’s been for six months and still broken.
Please don’t give these jokers your money, you will be left with a lemon and no customer service. Don’t expect a call back and please please please just hand the car back if you do buy one and have a fault. They can’t repair their own cars and just wait for the warranty to expire so they can get more of your money! I will be seeking legal advice as this level of service is surely not compatible with UK law, it may be a Chinese car but it was sold in the UK.
Reg: OV23 EWR - happy to chat if anyone can find the time.
Update 1 - Polestar called today after seeing my review. They are looking into the issue but state as the warranty has now expired (because they took 6 months to attempt a repair that didn’t work) they are not sure what can be done. Even though it was reported during the warranty period. Stay tuned for further updates as this saga continues.
Yesterday the 12v battery died as it’s been sat for almost 6 months and not maintained by the service centre. 8 hours with 2 young kids waiting for recovery and a new £200 12v battery! This car is a gift that keeps giving!
The guy was really helpful on the phone though and I trust he and Polestar will resolve this at no cost to myself as you would expect from a “premium” brand with a fault reported well within the warranty period.

Piss poor.
Booked a test drive a week in advance, when I showed up time I was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Erm, no.
I told the guy they should have called me to let me know, then he said wait 5 mins I'll find u a car.
Which they did but it was the entry level model which I don't want. I wanted and booked a test drive on the performance model.
After the drive they took they key, no follow up questions or call was done. They are so disorganised it's laughable, why waste people's time accepting test drives they aren't organised for.
Oh well back to BMW we go to throw £80K as them instead 🤡

After 6 months of no issues with the Polestar 3, we are faced with yet another serious fault. We have leased this car for 18 months and the first 12 months it spent more time in total in the garage than all the cars i have owned in the last 30 years. The latest delight is the fact we cant charge it at home, apparently a known fault with polestar and volvo. So we are having to use DC public chargers, which is becoming a pain. We have to wait 6 weeks to get in the dealership, who is constantly full with faulty cars. Polestar are paying for the cost, but again no compensation for the time that it adds to my day. The car drives great, but its electronics are shockingly bad. I have asked Polestar for a list of their known faults, as i cant wait for the next issue to arise. But obviously they didnt respond to that email. Only 18 months more of this car and then we either go back to the faultless audi or try a bmw, but i wont be getting a polestar. Id encourage anyone to think seriously about getting a polestar, unless of courae you enjoy taking it to the garage lots of times.
UPDATE
No word from Polestar despite the response below saying they would be in touch. But disgusted to find out today the faulty AC charging module is on back order with no known delivery date. So i have to now continue to charge it at DC public chargers. More of my time given up for the pleasure of paying a significant monthly lease charge. DO NOT BUY A POLESTAR UNLESS YOU ENJOY GOING TO THE REPAIR GARAGE AND SITTING AT PUBLIC CHARGERS WHILST IT CHARGES....

My experience with Polestar shows a consistent pattern of support failures. Every issue I’ve raised has been met with slow responses, vague communication, and no clear timelines. Most recently, Polestar have again confirmed that they still cannot provide any ETA for the part needed to fix my Polestar 4’s faulty retractable door handle. Their service team also refused to expedite the part, describing the defect as “cosmetic”, despite the fact that I have already been waiting weeks for a basic warranty repair.
The dealer has been professional throughout — the problem is Polestar’s after‑sales support. A premium brand should not leave customers in limbo with no timeframe, no urgency, and no ownership of straightforward warranty issues.

Polestar 3 has not been without its problems and the wait times to get the fixed has been in some cases months. However, despite what others have said, I have always found the customer support team pleasant, polite and very helpful within their capacity.
For example, yes my car has had to go to the service centre again, and the service centre couldn't get me a replacement loan vehicle (like they are supposed to) and said to contact Polestar. Alen and Stephen have been great, whilst they explained that shouldn't have happened and it made the case a little more complicated, they took it over and are arranging to keep me mobile whilst my P3 is in for another personality transplant. The could have just said, not my department go back to the centre. The same is also true of all the other interactions I have had with Polestar UK.
So far, whilst the physical product has had more than its fair share of issues, the customer service has always been top marks!
