Absolutely fantastic service, I can't fault them. Massive shout-out to Mark, for being really attentive, understanding and answering the phone nearly every time I called (which was quite frequently). The whole process was really smooth, even when issues arise. Everyone on the team was there to answer any questions I had, even if Mark wasn't available himself. Thank you! 😁 I would absolutely recommend this solicitor.

Poor communication and extremely slow service.

My first impression was positive, but as the transaction progressed they became increasingly difficult to contact and very slow to respond. There appeared to be too many departments involved, meaning nobody could provide clear updates or realistic timescales.

Calls to my case handler regularly went unanswered, and despite being promised callbacks, these rarely happened.

The "Easy Portal" was also unreliable, as I was often unable to view attachments or download documents properly.

Overall, the lack of communication, delays, and poor systems made the process far more stressful than it needed to be.
Abysmal communication, lack of knowledge from the 'solicitors' and slow responses- DO NOT USE- there is a reason why they are lower in price than smaller independents.

Emma and her team were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process.

You hear lots of horror stories when it comes to buying a house and dealing with solicitors, but my experience with PLS Solicitors was the complete opposite. Everything was straightforward, smooth and stress-free, with nothing but professionalism from Emma and the team.

Emma kept me regularly updated throughout and was always incredibly responsive whenever I had a question — and I had a lot of questions! 😂

I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The whole process was handled brilliantly from start to finish, and I always felt that I was kept informed and supported.

Using this company was a terrible experience. They were recommended by our mortgage broker and he's said he'll never recommend them again.

We instructed them on the 30th March to facilitate our house purchase. We were first time buyers and there was no chain. We finally took ownership of our house on 2nd September - five months later!!

They use a portal which is fine if it functions properly. The first issue was the client questionnaire. We filled this in but being unsure of what we were doing, we made some mistakes. We contacted our case handler at the time and as you couldn't update the questionnaire once it was submitted, she e-mailed it to us again. We filled it in and e-mailed it back. They never used it which created issues and delays. Example 1: They charged us for an anti-fraud fee which we didn't request. Example 2: When we finally came to completion they didn't realise that part of the deposit was a gift so we couldn't complete yet again even though the paperwork had been submitted weeks previously.

They received back the environmental search and failed it and referred it back to our lender! There was no environmental issues. We got the estate agent involved and the mortgage lender and PLS re-looked at it again and agreed it was a mistake. Our bank might have withdrawn our mortgage based on their information!

We signed contracts one Friday and expected and was told by our solicitor that we'd be completing the following Friday. But the night before our supposed completion day we suddenly had the mortgage deed appear in our inbox. This required signing, witnessing and posting back. And then the bank required 5 days to process. No completion that week! Our broker advised that the mortgage deed could've been sent weeks before!

They never replied to e-mails. Nobody ever answered the phone. If someone did answer our solicitor was always unavailable. Our mortgage broker had the same issue. It got to the point where they knew our numbers and would hang up on us when we rang. Only to answer the phone if we tried on a different number.

What should have been an exciting time for us as first time buyers was incredibly stressful. Yes we understand buying a house can be stressful but the failures made by PLS Solicitors made the whole process an awful experience. We would NEVER use them again.

Nick really did a good job. He was meticulous, took his time to make sure everything went well and he put us through every step. He was very supportive, made every part of the process smooth and finished the entire process quite timely. I cannot recommed PLS Solicitors, especially Nick team enough.

AVOID. I would not recommend this company.

They handled my remortgage two years ago, and I’m now going through another remortgage only to discover that they never completed all of the necessary work I paid them to do.

I’m now having to deal with the consequences of their failure to properly complete the original transaction, two years later.

Throughout the process, they were incredibly slow, communication was poor, and getting hold of anyone was extremely difficult. Based on my experience, their service was characterised by incompetence and a complete lack of follow-through.

I would strongly recommend staying away and using another firm.

PLS solicitor's have been on a journey with us for the last year. Their quotes were competitive and they get to work straight away. The PLS solicitor assigned to us was Aiman, who we found extremely professional, helpful and patient when things got stressful near exchange. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Even our estate agents mentioned many times how good Aiman at PLS was with their communication and procedures. The best part is they specialise in fast turnarounds which does depend on other slower solicitors in a chain though. Their PLS app is not the best and not seen as a reliable tracker to use in the conveyancing process, so only use the PLS website! I would highly recommend PLS and Aiman in the future.

As a cash buyer, I was requested to transfer the remaining balance for the property three weeks ahead of the completion date. PLS refused to pay interest for holding my funds for 3 weeks.
