I was going to order a ramp from…

I was going to order a ramp from Amazon. I called Petsafe and they convinced me to order directly from them. For a year guarantee and easy returns. We were unable to use the ramp for our pup undergoing surgery. Returning the ramp cost $108 in shipping costs. I will never order from Petsafe again. Most companies will at least give a return shipping refund. Next time Amazon all the way!

Over priced and poorly made.

I have over $900.00 in useless product.

We first bought a wireless invisible fence for our dog. It worked well until, at the cottage , a few drops of rain hit the transmission unit. No fuse of course - It just died.

So bought a new one off Amazon and it worked for - 45 days until the collar stopped working. Sadly Amazon said the warranty was for only 30 days ! We called Petsafe multiple times - no answer and our call was not returned.

Stupidity, we bought an in ground unit. 6 hours to install the in ground wire. It lasted about as long! The collar again stopped working after 2 weeks with absolutely no recourse.

Poor quality and no customer support. Don't throw you money away on this company or it's products.

wireless transmitter fault

I have a pet safe wireless transmitter, it continuously shocked my dog within the containment area, while the transmitter box wasn't plugged in. Petsafe have told me if power to the transmitter is lost the dog will get shocked, this is normal. I wasn't aware of this luckily I was home and heard him distressed. Surely this is not safe for pets .

Great customer service

Great customer service! I recently bought a cat chase laser from amazon but was on the petsafe store within amazon. It went faulty after 33 days so amazon wouldn't help me. On the off chance I contacted pet safe via the website and explained. Within the week they got back to me with a choice of a new laser as my original was no longer in stock. They kept in touch throughout and are sending me a new one soon! Thank you

Super customer service

I inherited a cat-flap with my house, but after 24 years it had perished & needed replacing (or a new door).
I contacted customer service who were extremely helpful in identifying the model of a suitable replacement that would fit the existing hole in door. The replacement worked perfectly, so a big thank-you to Gaelle for her help and patience.

Underground Fence PetSafe Transmitter

I have a PetSafe transmitter. When I was putting the wire into the transmitter the little red tab that holds the wire in place fell off. The transmitter is barely out of to the warranty period. I contacted PetSafe so I could send it in for repair. They told me I would have to buy a new one because they don't have a repair center. When I purchased the PetSafe product I thought I was dealing with a major, reliable and respectable company. Today I discovered that PetSafe is nothing but Bush League. Incredible!

Cat flap lets other cats in.

Another cat is getting in, causing damage to our house and distress to our cat. Even though we have a catflap from PetSafe costing over £100 which is supposed to only allow our cat in (based on its microchip)

We rang PetSafe. They told us that this can happen and there is nothing we (or they) can do about it.

So if you want a cat flap which stops other cats getting in, according to PetSafe you best not buy one of theirs.

I purchased a replacement part (water…

I purchased a replacement part (water pump) for the Pet Well Platinum Fountain. They charge a flat rate shipping fee of $9.95 (!) for a $20 replacement part. After I found the product on Amazon, I attempted to cancel my order.; however, there is no way to do so on their web site. There is also no way to e-mail them through their web site or chat with a service agent. I attempted to contact their customer service line, but after being on hold for an hour I hung up. I tried to call again and requested a call back. They called at an inconvenient time (they give you an 8-hour window, ending at 5pm EST, for the call back!) when I was not able to answer. I had to call back and go through the queue. This time they said they had closed early due to inclement weather. Do not order an item through their web site under any circumstances. The shipping fee is unreasonable and outrageous, you can't cancel an item, and it is impossible to speak to a customer service agent. Buy directly from Pet Safe at your own peril.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. Every product we have purchased from them ended up not working. Cheap crap. Stay away from this garbage company. I threw way too much money away on the defective garbage they produce. No customer service. You’re left with defective non-working trash that your poor pet is impacted by. Stay far away from this company.

FAILED: PETSAFE AND AMAZON

These people at "petsafety" care not for your pet's safety if your pet is a dog. These positive reviews must be for cat boxes and squeaky toys. We purchased the PetSafe Stay and Play fence system in February and lived with it, tested it, charge didn't last long, etc on our dog, off our dog. The collar buzzed erratically inside. We even put a sign on Abraham's kennel that WE MUST REMEMBER TO TAKE IT OFF AT NIGHT. This is a giant Schnauzer. I decided in December that we must have gotten a bad collar. So I purchased a second collar giving us a grand total of $545 for this system. Trying to be a team player, then I would settle on the first collar later. Same thing. Inside, in the kitchen it would go off and Abraham would go freakin' bezerk. If he was wearing that thing we would not have been able to manage the clasp which is a cheap knockoff of a good clasp. Even the webbed collar is cheap. By now I have $545 on a white elephant. I put off calling, busy over the holidays, etc. and finally made the dreaded call. Amazon generously will gave me a refund on the “new” since I accidentally called within the 30 days. The rest of the crap got me to "call the company." That worked well. “So sad. Tough. What warranty?. We can replace it with an inground, wired system that we could drag around and watch for the weed-wacker and the lawn mower. That, for an additional $50 plus shipping. I said “absolutely not…. No no no nada.” Next option is a collar that the dog can wear 12 hours on, 12 hours off. I kid you not. That’s because it will irritate the animal’s skin. Petsafe cares nothing about safety, customer service, their reputation, or their AMAZON REVIEW. I will be sending this to the BBB and trust pilot. It will be buried under the glowing catboxes and twinkle toys no doubt. The collar, by the way, doesn’t work in the house because it’s too close to the transmitter apparently. That’s a ways away in our house. I cannot tell you, warn you, or express to you how irresponsible, dishonest (why don’t they say we must take the collar on and off each time FIDO enters and exits your home? Perhaps because who can keep track of their dog’s every movement?) Another complete expensive, very expensive, frustrating, exhausting experience brought to you by AMAZON and an irresponsible company the AMAZON name supposedly touts. BAD BAAAAAAAAAAAAD EXPERIENCE.

Remote Training - excellent service

We've had two of their Remote Training systems and they have been great with long life spans. Petsafe UK have excellent customer service out of Ireland. Helpful and knowledgeable on their products, with no hard sales, our contact, S********, is practical and informative. We've received lots of advice on how to use the product and getting the best from our four-legged friends.
I can definitely recommend them on their own training system. I have no experience with their other products but reading other reviews I wonder if they are produced elsewhere and then sold by Petsafe? Other negative reviews don't equate with our experience at all thankfully and in short we are very happy with our Petsafe UK experience.

Flimsy charger cable for bark collar …

We bought a new bark collar from Petsafe supplier in Australia and the poorly made charger plug failed. VetCross gave us another but it too was missing part of the plastic off the charger end. Why does it cost near $50 to replace a simple USB cable? I emailed Petsafe with full details of my product failure almost two months ago and there has been NO RESPONSE. Why is the cable so flimsy? Will not buy from Petsafe again due to poor customer support.

I purchased a PetSafe cat door that severely injured my cats tail.

I purchased a PetSafe, Deluxe Magnetic Cat Flap, Selective Entry, 4 Way Locking - Staywell (White)

This product had many sharp edges, and the door was very heavy because of the magnet. It severely damaged my cats tail when it came crashing down. I have spent over $1,000 in vets bills, and my cats tail is still not recovered. Please take a look at this product before any more cats are injured!!

False Advertising

Wr needed to replace out petsage dog flap cover so ordered a new one from the website.

What arrived was similar but not wheat we had before, or what was advertised on their website.

I contacted customer service to see if they had sent the wrong item.

They replied reasonably quickly to tell me it was the correct item and it was a new design.

The reality is that they are selling worse quality items now. The material is flimsy, there is a whole in the flap that let's wind though and its much worse than the flap cover we had before. It's not fit for purpose at all. Not only this but they are still showing the older better design in the photos on their website.

So I replied asked how to resolve this, not heard back since.

I'm going to claim though my bank as they have missold the item

Use another company would be my recommendation.

I have three Pomeranians

I have three Pomeranians, the first one had a red collar and worked very well. Two years later I had two more and brought two of the black collars and they only Vibrated, more expensive and was not enough to stop them barking over the two/three months we had them. I contacted PetSafe and they were very helpful and understanding about the situation as I needed the red collars. Was out of the warranty but they were happy to send me the red collars on return of my black ones. They’re all working amazingly!!! Thank you to PetSafe!! Definitely recommend and highly recommend management. Fab customer service 😊

Excellent customer service from…

Excellent customer service from Sylvester

One of my dogs lost its collar - having hunted high and low for it for a fortnight, I ordered a replacement and then inevitably found the missing collar immediately. These collars are expensive (but more than worth it) so I called the customer helpline and immediately got through to the extremely helpful Sylvester who cancelled my order and refunded my card immediately without quibble. Very impressed.

Product adequate, customer service terrible (escalation got problem fixed though)

Product adequate. Customer service terrible. They make a mistake (actually more than one mistake) resulting in me ordering the incorrect item. They apologize for the mistake, but expect me to pay to send the item back to them for refunding. Seem to think it's ok to leave customers out of pocket when it's PetSafe that made the mistakes.

[Update: After escalating, PetSafe have now said they will do what would be expected - the correct refund and no need to return the incorrect part, for which delivery would have cost more than the part]
