Terrible Company!
Ordered a replacement cat flap part 6 months ago, never arrived, in July they said they would investigate with delivery firm, and that was the last heard from them! Terrible company, chronic customer service, keep well clear!!
Outlast pet fountain
I bought the outlast pet fountain and it stopped working in a month. I contacted the email I was given by an American company I originally contacted as no details for UK anywhere! 2 weeks and still no response. Absolute waste of money & NO customer service!!
No delivery of items
Purchased replacement litter boxes and saw that it was out for delivery.
Used the tracking number and noticed the address looked odd on DHL. Not like what was in my confirmation email.
I could see on the tracking DHL were not able to deliver because they couldn’t find the address but petsafe were not updating them with the correct formatting for the address. I tried to contact petsafe to let them know but firstly finding contact details on the site feels deliberately unclear and secondly when I eventually found details they didn’t respond. Makes me think it was a scam.
It’s unfortunate because I purchased the litter box which did arrive.
I purchased a Field Trainer
I purchased a Field Trainer, and after only eight months of normal use, it stopped working. I contacted customer service to have the one-year warranty — clearly printed on the box — honored. The instructions inside specifically direct customers to contact the warranty department rather than returning the item to the store.
I provided proof of purchase, including the original box and a credit card receipt from Petco. Despite this, I was told to return to the store to obtain an original paper receipt. When I contacted Petco, they informed me that in-store purchase records can no longer be retrieved.
In the end, the company refused to honor its warranty, and the product quality has proven disappointing.
PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap - Cheap Components
Cheaply made. Both screw retaining clips snapped when attaching the cat flap to the door. I had to take the entire thing apart, swap out the supplied screws for ones with bolts, which I then had to glue to the plastic backing and hope I could screw it all together without the bolts falling off. Entirely voided the warranty, and feel £70 the poorer. If I hadn't bought this flap to replace an older PetSafe version I would have gone for a different manufacturer. The only good things I can say about the flap are that it no longer makes a beep when my cat goes through it, and no longer needs plugging in to the mains for power. Seems smaller in diameter than my previous flap and a bit trickier for my (now elderly) cat to squeeze through than the previous version. Also disappointed that it didn't come with Batteries supplied, which added to my costs.
In ground fence system - don’t waste $$
In ground fence system. Great for the first month then the collar starts to fall apart - won’t cover under warranty and a new one is more than half the cost of the original system. And this is a 9month old Mastiff that sleeps 14-18hrs most days and is attached to my hip while I work from home so he only wears the collar for 2x 1.5hr sessions a day when he’s outside with the kids.

Outlast 90 pet fountain
I purchased an outlast 90 pet fountain. Within six months, the status light began blinking red. I opened the pump cover and discovered the pump motor and circuit board were corroded. I was told by customer service that the pump motor and circuit board are not sealed so it is possible for water or humidity to damage them. There are no replacement parts and I had to throw the whole thing away.
Massive FAIL.
A catflap has two jobs - to let cats out when unlocked and keep them in when locked.
The PETSAFE catflap is an utter failure - our cat was able to break the plastic and escape.
Thank for nothing, PETSAFE. You should be embarrassed by the quality of your products.
Inexistent support
I purchased a smart cat flap from amazon, just under a year ago, I had some functionality issues, so I contacted the customer care in Ireland, but never got a response. SO BAD!!!!

When I first installed the PetSafe self-cleaning litter box, I touted it as a game changer! Then the urine started leaking out onto the floor. I made extra certain that it was level and carefully cleaned all parts. This time I used a blue mat under the box. It leaked again the very first day after the clean-up. What could have gone wrong?
PetSafe GPS collars
I purchased six PetSafe GPS collars at $300 each. HALF of them failed. One won’t connect to the app, two fell off my dogs and can’t be found—despite the GPS saying otherwise. The collar material is too slick. Customer service is a joke: limited hours, no replies to emails. These collars are supposed to keep my dogs safe, and instead they put them at risk. I want a FULL refund for all six. I’ll never trust or purchase PetSafe again.

Petsafe has transformed our dog walks...
Our lovely Cockapoo had only one negative thing about him - that he wouldn't always come back when on walks. It began to ruin our walks because we'd constantly be worried that he might not come back this time.
I was just beginning to think that we'd have to put him on the lead more. Then we discovered the PetSafe collar.
Within 3 days of training our dog saw a deer, started chasing it and then when we pinged the collar, he stopped and came trotting back. Wow. We couldn't believe it. Now, he still runs about but he comes back.
Love the fact that the worst punishment is a squirt of citronella - no shocks involved. Love that it works.
Small downsides. The battery charging hole is difficult to find - and when charging it's not clear how much charge it contains. Also, ours stopped working and we had to wait quite a long time for a replacement to be sent.
A question: I'd like to recycle the part that's not working. Petsafe - hope you can help?

Our receiver started making a loud noise.
It was two years old and well maintained.
When I called in for assistance I was told that they never heard of this issue before. They also stated that the warranty is up so they could not assist me. They offered to sell me a new receiver and I explained how they now lost me as a customer for life. One would
think they would want to investigate a problem they never heard of before.
Very disappointed.
Absolutely brilliant product and outstanding customer service!
The PetSafe Happy Ride Booster Seat has completely transformed travelling for us. My dog Louie used to be car sick within 10 minutes of any journey. I bought the booster seat out of necessity, we were moving and had to make a long trip. Louie sat up front in his booster seat and, because he could finally see out of the window, he was no longer car sick. It was a game changer. It has literally transformed our weekends.
The seat itself is really well made, sturdy, safe, and easy to secure with the seatbelt. We’ve had it for three years now, and it’s still in perfect condition, just as good as the day we bought it.
What really stood out though, was the exceptional customer service. I had a query and contacted the supplier directly. The way they handled it was beyond expectations, friendly, helpful, and they truly went the extra mile to assist me. Louie and I couldn’t be more grateful!
I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.

Terrible product and service
Got an automatic litter box. Within a month it broke. Since I can't find my original receipt and they won't accept what petco gave me as proof of purchase, I am now stuck with a broken $200 little box.

Problems handled very good
We hd problems with the magnetic cap flap - there was a cat who was strong enough to break through it. It was handles very helpfull and polite. We got another one whonwas strong enough. Thanks customer support netherlands, much appreciated!

Ordered product, no update, money down the drain
Ordered a product on 27 March and there has been no update on shipping. I have sent them multiple emails asking them to cancel the order by now as I’ve gotten it from elsewhere - a bit more expensive, but at least I got something for my money. Petsafe just took my money for nothing. I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
