Pets Abroad are the best 👍

We have had amazing service from Andre, Becky and team at Pets Abroad. We just arrived in NZ from the U.K. with our two beautiful dogs, a Giant Schnauzer and our littler Ginger Cavapoo. André has helped guide me with all the procedures involved over the last 8 months ! As we completed Rabies tests, vet visits, NZ customs and import requirements, booking flights (and dealing with difficult airlines). Thank you all so much for helping to move our two most important family members to their new forever home. I 100 percent can recommend Pets Abroad to anyone for their caring service. One thing that just thrilled me was, dropping off our dogs to PetsAbroad office near Heathrow and all the girls in the office came and said hello to my dogs and took them away happily, it was a beautiful farewell before their trip. I also should give a shout out to Auckland quarantine who posted pictures of the dogs together each day ❤️. Thanks again to Andre and Becky and team.

Our move to New Zealand

Our move to New Zealand from the UK although a natural worrying time was made simple. Pets Abroad were great. Fixed price, deposit paid initially. Straight forward. They arranged pretty much everything including the quarantine in Auckland.

So Grateful to Pets Abroad UK!

We just moved our cats, Mr. Cuddles and Meemo, from the UK to Kenya with Pets Abroad UK, and I just wanted to say how amazing Pets Abroad UK were. I promise - our cats are such an important part of our family that I wouldn't recommend them if I wasn't really impressed. They did everything they promised - liased with the vets in UK and abroad, airlines, immigration, everything. Honestly, the most stressful part of the move was stress free because of all their help. They really took great care of our cats, treating them as if they were their own. We got up dates, pics - Mr Cuddles and Meemo getting cuddles before the flight.

Their team was so kind and understanding throughout. Mr. Cuddles and Meemo are loving their new home - so a massive thank you is owed to Pets Abroad UK for their fantastic care and service. Totally recommend them to anyone moving pets. Thank you!

Pets abroad are removing negative…

Pets abroad are removing negative google reviews. I have tried to post this review twice and both times they have had it removed giving false impressions of their services.

10 days before my dogs flight (paid for and arranged months in advance), Pets Abroad were an absolute shambles.

I was told prior to choosing our airline the price difference was hugely lower with American Airlines due to my dog flying to the next state over - so obviously i went with this one. They did not tell me that the reason the price was lower is because there is no aircon in the vehicles with AA on the other side. 10 days before my dogs flight i received the most incompassionate email from Dani stating he cannot fly due to the temperature and provides me with 2 other dates that were a WEEK prior to the original flight, which very clearly wouldn’t work as i would not be there to collect him (the company were fully aware of my own flight day). Within this email there was no option of a call, no sympathy of it being 10 days before the flight, not even a question as to what i would like to do next - literally just an unhelpful statement that caused insane panic.

Of course I immediately called to discuss and was greeted by Dani being utterly careless to our situation and totally unhelpful. She informed me if I didn’t choose one of those two flights (that were impossible) then it would cost £1200 more for my dog to go on BA. £1200 10 days before a flight is not something I was prepared for nor had been warned could happen - especially as i had already forked out over £1400. May I also add, I was told all this on a FRIDAY so then had to endure an entire weekend, less than 2 weeks before departure, not knowing till Monday if he had managed to be booked onto a new flight and i STILL had to chase them on Monday for an answer.

The problem is not the airline, the problem is the horrific behavior we received from Dani and the team, the lack of making me aware this could happen (come to find out other companies don’t even use American Airlines at this time of year due to the AC issue). The lack of compassion, adult communication, knowledge of alternative options and tone she used was absolutely unbelievable and totally disgraceful. I had to chase her continuously for updates because of her lack of urgent assistance and even got told i couldn’t be spoken to on the phone because she has ‘lost her voice’.

I actually contacted PetAir to see if i could just move over to them a week before the flight and they told me that there were new regulations coming into play from August 1st and that there were numerous dogs waiting for flights so they couldn’t promise me a slot on the plane, something PetsAbroad never disclosed.

PetsAbroad need external training on how to behave in situations and speak to people. Even management are terrible and don’t answer the phone. Moving a dog along with an entire life is already a hugely stressful experience and the stress and panic this company caused me ruined the experience.

I was also informed i’d receive a call the morning my dog was due to be collected for an ETA between 8-10am. By 9:45am I had no communication so rang only to find the driver was having issues with the car and is running late but couldn’t give me an ETA. Horrendous communication, especially when i had organized my day around his collection - who knows if he was even fed upon his arrival because I had NO confirmation that he arrived at their facility when i was promised an update in writing. When i rang to check (30 minutes before their closing hours) their numbers, INCLUDING the emergency, were turned off, leaving me wondering if my dog got there safely. Upon choosing PetsAbroad I was promised pictures, updates and i got absolutely nothing till over a day after and after begging.

This has honestly been the worst service I have ever experienced from a company.

To also add - there are SO many hidden costs. The price they gave was clearly too good to be true - started off at £1400 turned into over £3000 for a mini dachshund. Do yourself a favour and go with PetAir, they are far kinder and attentive.

To confirm also, i had no check in to see if my dog arrived safely, any thanks for using their services or any apology for the stress they know they put us through.

Pets abroad - a kind and effective team !

The team at Pets Abroad were a please to deal with ! I needed to get my very anxious dog, Beluga, over from a London to Cape Town urgently , under very stressful conditions and they just made the process very simple and hassle free. They were so kind and sweet with her , which was a massive relief to me and just so reassuring . It’s so hard handing over your pet knowing they will be going through a scary experience , but Claire was so great with her , it made it a little easier. I can’t thank them enough for that.

A wonderful experience

What a wonderful experience we had with Pets Abroad UK. Andre and Kimberley went above and beyond to make this a stress free experience for us and our doggies. Organising everything and making arrangements with agents at the destination to assist us. They have treated our pets with love and care and sent us updates on how they were doing. Dan was reliable and outstanding when picking the dogs up and we appreciate everything the company has done. Highly recommend this company to anyone moving their pets overseas.

Truly excellent staff and service

Truly excellent staff and service. Naturally I was worried about Honey (a little Maltipoo travelling alone on a long flight to Dubai. She is very nervous even in a car.) I needn't have worried. We were met by Sophie and Dani who treated us with kindness and understanding from the start. Dani reassured me and took wonderful care of Honey all day. She sent regular updates and photos. I highly recommend Pets Abroad. Honey is now safely with her owners in Dubai and I can stop worrying.

Pets Abroad are your best option!!

Andre and team have been such a great help in getting my Betsy from London to Perth via Melbourne for 10 days quarantine. The intricacies of Australian importation were stepped through and I knew the timelines and how to plan as best we could considering the quarantine booking backlog. I never felt concerned about Betsy, I was kept updated and knew she would be well looked after. She arrived yesterday and we are so so happy! I would recommend Pets Abroad to anyone who needs to move their precious cargo across the world!

Great service, would definitely recommend using

Recently used them to move our two puppies from London to Toronto and after researching a few companies that had the same service I thought they were best because they offered to send you the travel crates before the trip so the pets can get used to them, which was very beneficial.

Ian was lovely to deal with and ensured that everything ran smoothly.

Would definitely recommend using them if you need travel with your pets.

Not a great experience!

I had hired the service of Pets Abroad to fly my dog from UK to India. I will be giving an honest review and it has both good & bad sides of my experience.

Wonderful part first: In terms of price, they are a lot affordable. They delivered the crate to my home within days of signing up. Even though the crate arrived broken, they promised to replace it and kept their promise. They had patiently answered all my queries and helped to arrange pre-DEFRA & final DEFRA appointment at my local vet clinic which helped me save a lot of time & trouble travelling 1.5 hours to their office otherwise. They are knowledgeable & made sure the paperworks are all in place. They also helped to rearrange everything when I & my dog ended up missing flight due to an unexpected traffic jam. I would like to give 5 star to their driver Sophie who was so kind, empathetic and friendly. Sending my dog for overnight boarding (for next day's flight) knowing its his first flight trip, seeing my dog crying while putting him in the van was all very difficult moment for me but Sophie's words reassured me. I had the chance to visit their kennel & it was a beautiful place with good facility. They also said my dog settled in well & told me I can visit him if I wish. They also thoughtfully changed his plastic water bowl to a metal one as my dog broke the plastic earlier. Next day after my dog was checked in, they kindly sent me his picture which was so helpful to calm my own mind.

Sadly, I still have to point out drawbacks which I experienced: From the picture they sent, which was taken after my dog's check in at airport, I realised that the water bowl was not filled & the cork attached was facing away from the bowl & this means the bowl cannot be refilled. This is an unforgivable mistake as it could have put my dog's life at risk as it was 10+ hours of journey. Luckily I noticed this in time & informed them & someone had fixed it later.

While booking my dog's flight, they were going to book 30 hour flight (with 19hrs transit in Doha) with Qatar Airways. Luckily I had heard from somebody else about the 10 hour direct flight of British Airways. They enquired for BA flight only after I requested them to. Knowing very well how stressful a flight journey can be for dogs, it's disappointing & surprising that they didn't take the initiative to look for a short flight until I requested them to!

When we missed our first flight, they said they will book another one which will be flying a day after. I told them to go ahead and was thinking I will be getting a confirmation soon. After few hours of wait, only when I checked with them again for an update did they say it will take 24 hours for the airlines to respond. While the time frame is not in their hands, they should have informed me this earlier as I had lots of other things to plan & arrange accordingly. Next day morning, I admit I had to be cheeky and texted them around 7am to see if they heard from airlines and this was because we had to rearrange paperworks from India & due to time zone differences, we had very little time in hand and hence the cheekiness. Also, once paperwork is sorted, I had million other things to re-arrange which was a very stressful time for me as I could not afford to postpone the journey due to my family member being seriously ill. Despite having explained my situation already, I still had to wait for 2.5 hours to get any single reply from them. Meanwhile I rang them once but my call was disconnected without any text reply which was very rude. When I received their reply after 2.5 hours, there was no apology & I was accused of complaining and said there was a good reason if they were unable to pick my call, which sounded very rude!! I agree they may have million other things going on at the same time and I would have understood if they had made an apology & politely explained how busy they are. But instead, all I received was a rude reply & they were trying to defend themselves by accusing me which was extremely unprofessional! It definitely added to my stress & made my day worse!

I could not recommend them enough

I could not recommend them enough. In the middle of COVID crazy, with flights being cancelled everywhere they managed to get a flight from England to Costa Rica for my very dear cocker. They didn't even blink when BA cancelled the original flight and kept me in the loop as things went on. They were calm, patient understanding with all my questions. My dog arrived when and where they said he would in good health. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Thank you thank you thank you !!!

Thank you thank you thank you !!!! Andre and his team did what everyone said couldn’t be done. Being stuck in the UK due to Covid and having a snub nosed baby ( Boston terrier) we were left with no airlines that would fly our babies due to their breed. Andre and his team worked hours, negotiated with airlines and made it happen, this process for me was so easy and you have made it happen and returned my boy back to Australia. Andre has a full understanding of this industry, has multiple contacts and truly made this an easy process. Pets abroad UK I will thank you and your team forever. Oscar was safe and happy the whole way home. Anyone looking to relocate I 100% recommend Andre and his team. YOU DID IT !!!! THANK YOU!! and you can see from the photo how happy Oscar is on his stopover in Dubai.
