Booked a parkdeans holiday lizard point…
Booked a parkdeans holiday lizard point Cornwall. First day onsite to find out you have to pre- book swimming!? Never had this anywhere.. worst still all slots are fully booked for our entire stay! I'm so angry, I have three very disappointed children! Why a way to start our holiday we travelled 7hours for! Stay away from Parkdeans, I know we will never book them again!

We visited Romney Marsh for a family getaway and thought the park was lovely and clean and very relaxing sitting outside in the sunshine
The entertainment was very professional and we met Ellie and Amy who were great hosts and entertainers and made our stay most enjoyable
Food and drink was really good and prices reasonable. Thank you to the team at Romney we will be back

Did online ID successfully back in January.
Tried with no success today to ask someone at Parkdean if I still needed to take physical ID with me on hol as would rather not carry a passport etc around with me on hol and the portal confirms my online ID as successful.
I didn't want to travel over 150 miles without documents to not be allowed in the park..
No way could I get to speak to anyone- all options to choose from were not relevant to my request apart from 'speaking' to someone which I chose but I was repeatedly by-passed to another recording which repeated the options all over again?
So through frustration I selected to speak to someone by selecting 'book' a hol.
Once I got through the lady repeatedly said 'hello'-she obviously couldn't hear me although I could hear her as I repeatedly said hello back.
She had no alternative but to end the call.
A very frustrating amount of time wasted to ask such a simple question, to avoid carrying my personal documents.

Had no problems with booking at all the only problem was the face recognition took a few times to actually work but apart from that no problem at all
Very helpful when I got it wrong
Deluxe lodge? Not at all….
We stayed in a deluxe 6 berth lodge at camber sands. There was 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog, the accommodation was tatty, ripped net curtains, on some windows they didn’t fit. The curtains were stained, and the windows were filthy. The sofas were tatty and the bath panel had a big crack in it. Shower was mouldy and lots and lots of chewed panels and furniture! Disgusting with advertising very misleading! Lots of biting insects and was forced to keep doors and windows closed, as I was bit on my leg (the biggest bite I’ve ever had). The master bedroom my oldest niece slept in and the bedroom with 2 single beds my other nieces slept in, we slept on the sofa bed, you would think both sofas has a bed being a 6 berth, but no, it didn’t. For a week costing £1800, you would expect more from a deluxe lodge. The camp itself is nice, but the shop is very expensive, £4.10 for a tub of gravy granules, and a small brown sauce costing £4.50! We needed to going to Tesco to do a big shop 35 mins away. The food in the restaurant was okay, but again over priced, we ate out 4 times and each time it cost on average £110 for 5 meals and 5 drinks. I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for a deluxe lodge, as some of the caravans looked far better and are much cheaper. I have pictures but unable to upload here.

Post-booking biometric trap: Demanded facial scans after taking my money
Paid online for a touring pitch and everything seemed fine. A few days later, I received an email demanding I complete third-party biometric facial identification before arrival.I am currently away travelling without my physical documentation, making it impossible to fill this out. I spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to resolve this, only to be rigidly told it must be filled out before arrival with absolutely no other options provided. This invasive requirement should have been explicitly requested and handled at the time of booking, not forced upon paying customers days later. Enforcing biometric data loops with zero flexibility while people are already on the road is unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
A little out the way
It is a little out of the way from everything, but if you want a quiet break its ideal. The site has a lot of caravans on-site, and the view we had looking over the beach was lovely. So, you can enjoy lovely walks along the beach.
There isn't too much to do on the site really. So, we spent most of our time going for days out and spending the evening relaxing in the caravan or playing in the arcade.
Booking process was good and got great…
Booking process was good and got great service from call handler. Booked out of season, but was able to get upgraded accommadation and park tickets and early checkout just under booking.com price
Cancelled our holiday for a special…
Cancelled our holiday for a special birthday, no option to resolve for us and rearrange, just straight refunded with a small discount to rebook. Raised complaint to ask for price match for what we paid for the December holiday and just get auto reply saying can take up to 14 days to receive a reply… keep getting marketing emails and rush emails trying to tell me to hurry and book as the log cabins are getting booked up…. Anxiety induced emails and no response makes this currently the worst customer service I think I’ve ever experienced, especially after going on live chat this morning, holding for 60 minutes when it said 12 mins… then cutting my chat off saying they’re too busy… waste of my time. At this point, I don’t want a price match, I want a free bloody weekend break for the annoyance, time wasting and stress you’ve caused!
MAJOR SECURITY BREACH
BIGGEST ISSUE -
The keys were handed to a third party without authorisation, despite any notes on the account, no photo ID given and no prior consent. Reception could not explain who had handed over the keys, while the manager dismissed the issue, saying the online ID check and booking details were enough. When we arrived around 7:30 PM after a 3+ hour journey, the reception 30 minutes trying to locate the keys and gain access to the accommodation, causing unnecessary stress.
The security oversight left the us feeling unsafe and utterly lacking trust in Parkdean's security procedures.: Due to the severe stress caused, we left the park the same evening and drove back home through the night. We wasted £239 on a holiday that was completely ruined, wasted valuable annual leave that was intended for paid maternity leave, caused emotional distress caused to a guest who is 30 weeks pregnant on what was meant to be their final holiday before their baby's arrival. After complaining to the business, they have refused to refund us and have “taken our comments on board”
ALSO
The complaints process is unnecessarily difficult, the complaint email address is not listed in either the FAQs or the “Manage My Booking” section and can only be obtained by initiating a live chat, creating extra time wasted and making the process less accessible.
I also do not like how they hide charges and costs, particularly Wi-Fi, as it was not made clear during booking that reliable Wi-Fi would require an additional fee, with this only becoming apparent upon arrival. Activity pricing is also disproportionately high; for example, charging £6 per person for crazy golf, with no refundable deposit element.
Booked a dog friendly 3 bedroom caravan…
Booked a dog friendly 3 bedroom caravan through Hoseasons on the park Dean resort Manor Park Hunstanton.
On arrival was informed Dogs were not allowed in the resort indoor facilities after 4pm nothing on websight !! that they are not allowed in children’s or food area !!.
Got to the caravan which was well equipped and nice furnishing but my goodness the van and surrounding area of the van wasn’t cleaned properly at all, the previous occupants clothing left in and outside the van plus half bottle of finished drink.
Human hair all over the place and especially over the cushions and skirting board, cutlery not cleaned properly, the kitchen and hallway floors not cleaned just swept, crumbs of food in the oven, also dirty finger prints over the fridge and cabinets.
Bathrooms not cleaned with any water just swept and toilet not cleaned properly.
As I have a compromised immune system I decided I couldn’t stay there unless it was cleaned properly so thank goodness I bought cleaning goods with me and cleaned the van top to bottom. I didn’t report it as I wanted to do it on my exit. And didn’t want it to spoil our holiday.
Couldn’t use the hoover as it was disgusting not been emptied and drum was full of dirt.
We received a courtesy call the next day of our stay and I explained what the problem was and they offered to send a cleaner asap, I explained I had already cleaned it throughly and I would show them it on our exit which they were happy for me to.
I had our Grandchildren with us which also meant they couldn’t enjoy the amenities as we had a Dog.
Unfortunately the office doesn’t open till 9 am so we could only drop off the keys in a drop box ‘not ideal’.at the end of our holiday.
I have used Park Holidays on several occasions but as we have family near Hunstanton though we should go to Manor Park instead.
Park Holidays are nothing but very clean in the vans and excellent ground upkeep and very dog friendly.
So unfortunately I will not be booking with Hoseasons or Park Dean again unless their cleaning standards or Dog friendly areas improve.
This wasn’t a cheap holiday as we paid near on a thousand pound just to sleep in the caravan as facilities were non existent unless we sat outside the entertainment area at night, that is fine if the weather is good but not if it’s cold and raining.
So a very disappointing experience and such a shame as the site had ideal access to the beach and fun fair.
Staff are fine very welcoming caravan…
Staff are fine very welcoming caravan wasn’t the best we paid for a silver premium and there’s no way it was and if it was god knows what the bronze package would be like would probably be 2 planks of wood over a sest pit the place stunk of wet dog the locks on the windows where broken the table in the caravan only had 3 working legs I’ve seen better legs on a dying donkey carrying 3 blokes and 50 litres of water put one of the kids fruit shoots on the table and the hole thing went over
good job I have three kids two where eating their tea at the table and the other one had to get under and prop the table up
also shower was leaking place was like a swimming pool
the pull out bed was ridiculous av seen thicker playing cards for a mattress the smell of urine in the caravan was bad
was like visiting my nan in her old peoples home
I was going to hang my wet washing outside, but was scared to death somebody would pinch me pegs
3 nights is enough in one their caravans any more an you would be converted pierce your ears an start selling scrap
Not to mention the amount of dog mess everywhere outside on the site grounds it’s impossible to walk in a straight line as your constantly dodging it the amount of dog here wow shouldn’t be called Parkdean more like crufts
oh and the amount of speed bumps on the site grounds
don’t get me wrong I know kids are playing on the grounds and we all do drive slow but the height of the speed bumps is ridiculous the speed limit is 5mph you have to do 1mph not to ruin your suspension and Damage your piles
I had to call the AA twice before we even got halfway round
if they locate you at the back of the site be prepared for the drive even the satnav when we arrived here said make a U-turn immediately
Not a lot for the kids to do really food was ok to be honest we got a get well soon card with the bill
when ordering the food at the bar you could smell the aroma of a burnt tin opener
beer garden/kids play area should be call smokers alley the smell of the smoke comes in to the food hall when your trying to eat I 100% wouldn’t come back or recommend it if your thinking of booking don’t bother save your money and go to haven
I booked Golden premium caravan for 3…

Caravan seating wasn’t very clean and…
Caravan seating wasn’t very clean and had stains all over
Bar staff wrongly priced drinks around 6 times during our stay
The restaurant area was always full with dirty plates pilled up on tables
Booked for 7 nights but left a day early in the end
⭐ 1 star
⭐ 1 star – Extremely poor customer service and no response
I am extremely disappointed with Parkdean Resorts and, unfortunately, I would not recommend them based on our recent experience.
We travelled around 200 miles, taking approximately 5 hours, for what was supposed to be a family holiday. When we arrived at our accommodation, the bedroom absolutely stank of ammonia to the point that our eyes were watering and our toddler was unable to sleep.
We contacted the emergency line at around 1:30am and were offered another caravan. Unfortunately, the second accommodation was also unacceptable, with a strong smell of ammonia and smoke.
As a result, we were left with no suitable accommodation and ended up sleeping on the living room floor, with the situation not settling until after 4am. We had young children with us who had already endured a long journey in their car seats, only for the holiday to turn into an extremely stressful and upsetting experience.
We subsequently raised a formal complaint with Parkdean and requested appropriate compensation for the overall experience, including the disruption, distress, additional travel and the fact that we were effectively unable to enjoy the holiday we had paid for.
Parkdean have now confirmed that the accommodation refund has been processed, which I acknowledge. However, they have completely ignored the rest of my complaint and my request for compensation.
I have emailed them and I am still waiting for my complaint to actually be acknowledged or properly addressed.
A refund of the accommodation does not resolve the wider complaint. What I am asking for is a proper response addressing everything that happened and the compensation I requested.
It is incredibly frustrating to have to repeatedly chase a company after such a terrible experience. Customer service should not end once the refund has been processed.
I am leaving this review because I feel other families should be aware of what happened and, more importantly, how the complaint has subsequently been handled.
Parkdean — I am still waiting for you to actually address my complaint.
False advertising and filthy accommodation
We paid nearly £1000 for a deluxe lodge at southview holiday park which didn’t compare to any of the advertised pictures on the website, the lodge/large caravan was disgusting with blood stained bedding in the twin bedroom, bodily fluid staines in the main double bedroom. Gap in the top of the oven which resulted in the place smelling of gas when trying to cook, extractor fan missing lights and filled with dirt/gunk so didn’t work properly meaning the fire alarm went off when cooking. The carpets were so dirty you couldn’t take your shoes off without your feet getting filthy. Took me 3 attempts to get the bedding changed which I had to do myself.
Workers working on the plot behind us with machinery and parking over our parking spaces which resulted in them leaving metal pieces on the floor that punctured our friends tyre. The manager refused to do anything for us other than change the bedding! Nearly £1000 for 4 nights!! I would recommended not staying at this site if you want to enjoy your holiday.
