I had a really good experience.
Would like to say Thank you to Lykke Trøjborg Kofod from Herning who helped a lot. She explained everything in such an easy way. She is very nice and feels like she was born to work with people 😁.
We had different banks to choose where to take a loan. But Lykke did a great job to explain us and help with all important Details.
So now we are Nykredit clients, we bought our dream house and car. And if something we don't understand we can always contact Lykke and she will be so fast and accurate with replying 😍

What makes it worth a five star experience, actually most important on all levels , the human approach, perfect communication, being a "new to danmark" , this attitude is vital.
I am most happy with my choice, conclusion when you think a human approach is necessary I can recommend Nykredit with great enthousiasm!!

general rates and services are just sub par compared to smaller more competitive banks in DK. It took us about 7-8 years to finally land on a personal banker (Inge) who is absolutely great. She is patient, knowledgable and very helpful to us.

so if you're looking for good rates, go elsewhere. if you by chance use the downtown branch, ask for Inge.

I have been happy for 17 yrs with Nykredit but now change of policy (or management strategy) means they can decide to stop your card without any written warning, and aggressively talk to you on the phone as if you are a mistreated kid. They send you a new card which you have never asked for, and tell you that flexibility you have enjoyed for the last 17 years do not apply from now on. Their office in Gammel kongevej where one could talk with helpful staff is no more either...It s definitely changing for the worst, better find another bank for old fashioned polite danish manners and professionalism.

Great experience across the board. In particular Bjørn Rose Holm is worthy of receiving a positive mention for his doings. We switched from Danske Bank to Nykredit a little over a year ago and should have done so much sooner.

I was looking to get loan/mortgage to buy an apartment, and consented to have a real estate agent send through my contact details to Nykredit. I received a call, and after politely asking if it was okay to speak English, they hung up on me. A google search confirmed it was the personal number of an advisor, so I texted and asked if it was still possible to discuss a loan, or if it would possible to speak with one of their colleagues instead. I never received a response or another call.

It was a confusing experience, and slightly unpleasant. I understand they might not have been comfortable speaking in English, but communicating that to me would have gone a long way, even if said in Danish. In the end I have chosen to go with Nordea.

Can’t be a customer if I don’t own apartment. That’s what a customer service told me when I asked to be contacted to move my account to Nykredit. I talked about it with many people that have Nykredit and also people that worked at Nykredit and everybody confirmed owning anything is not prerequisite to having normal lønkonto and savings account at Nykredit. So I’m not sure how did the lady on the phone came up with this new rule ;) I assume I’ve been straight up lied to

Greatly disappointed with this experience as I merely wanted to move my account to a new bank that I found better than my current one.

A male staff from Nykredit called me and informed that my application to open a personal account with Nykredit has been rejected. He told me the reason of the rejection is because foreigner in Denmark can only have one bank account. Even when I told him I want to close my current bank account and change to Nykredit, he still said that it is impossible.

Feeling the reason of the rejection sounds really ridiculous, I decided to email Nykredit customer service to reconfirm their rejection of my application. First, a female staff replied to me: “That sounds odd, let me get your Cpr. nr. and look into what happened with your application.” However, after I provide her with my CPR number, nothing happens. Just silence. I emailed one more time to check if any update on my case, but they just ignored my email.

I work in hospitality, so I’m totally surprised about how Nykredit handled this simple case. If that male staff mistakenly informed the wrong policy of Nykredit, you guys just need to admit and say sorry to your customer. If the policy of Nykredit is exactly what that male staff informed me, just reconfirm by words through email. I think Nykredit should train their staffs again about customer service.

Always a good partner. Best bank for expats in Denmark.

The worst nightmare, if you are in intense need for help from bank. They behave like, own your assets than being professional. i would like to mention here Glostrup branch, totally unprofessional.

Thank you Lukas for the great support on a new green car loan. Not only Lukas managed to get it all done in a single day, all the communication as his responses were prompt, clear and objective.

It was a great experience and it serves to reinforce why I do my banking business with Nykredit :)
