Bad experience with now finance
Agent mentioned that I am eligible to top up my account, so I applied for a top up of 6K AUD, with a repayment of 46 dollars per week. I never missed any repayments with them, not even once,always on time. And for sure they can check my financial capacity and bank statements and payslips, that I can afford the repayments of extra 46 dollar per week, common. But instead they said that I didn't reach their criteria, I called them and in return they told me that they just goingto call me back but never heard a single call from them. How can I have financial hardship if I always pay on time? Far out. My application was approved by other lenders.
Hi Denise I declared all my bank accounts and for sure I will be able to do those repayments . Just so you know I haven't receive any letter of criteria why my application has been denied.

Hi Dax, to clarify my response a credit providers main obligation is to ensure the consumer can meet the obligations of the contract without any undue hardship. Your application fell outside our policy as it failed capacity. When conducting an assessment, we must take into consideration all aspects of the consumer financial position. We do not rely solely on one aspect i.e. repayment history when we conduct an assessment. Appreciate your feedback and we are happy you were able to source your loan elsewhere.

Hi Dax, we have a strict timeframe of when the formal Declined letter will be issued. I can see this was issued today as per our internal process. I offered to speak with you however you refused to call me to discuss our assessment of your application and the reason why we couldn’t provide you with an approval. For clarity, your application fell outside our policy as there was no serviceable capacity after included our figures and not the declared figures. I’m very impressed with NOW Finance and…
I’m very impressed with NOW Finance and the way they handled my loan from start to finish. From the beginning, I was clear about my purpose — I needed funds to get a new car — and I explained my situation, including cancelling my hospital cover and managing other repayments. The consultant/manager looking after me really took the time to understand everything. I left it in their hands to work out what was most suitable for my budget and circumstances, and they delivered perfectly.
They suggested consolidating my other loan (with Fair Go Finance), which I didn’t even realise was possible. This reduced my repayments from $190 a fortnight down to $91, freeing up my budget significantly. The process involved clear communication with both emails and calls, and nothing was left confusing — everything was explained thoroughly.
The whole process was efficient: within six business days, all contracts were finalised, my other loan was paid off, and the funds were in my account. The contract was also explained clearly, even though I could have just read it myself, which shows the extra effort they put in. The team were friendly, reliable, and always quick to return calls.
NOW Finance gave me a flexible loan structure, allowed me the option to make extra repayments if I want to, and ultimately left me with more money in my pocket than before. I really appreciate their support and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a transparent, trustworthy, and customer-focused lender.
