Our multi-property, single site project started before Covid and had several major disruptions as well as Covid. During the whole time Nordan has maintained a steady, helpful relationship with us and has delivered both technical and physical assets when needed. The end result has been finally achieved with a set of great windows, installed by one of their recommended installers. The manufacturer/installer relationship was invaluable.

Very poor service

I was given a good deal on external Aluclad windows and doors for my new house. They were delivered in 2 stages to suit the build from late 2023 to early 2024. However, on one of the deliveries I asked Nordan to store the windows for 2-3 weeks during bad weather as our build was delayed. I was told the Scottish branch at Livingston had no storage facility so I decided to accept the windows rather than have the delivery re-scheduled and pay a fee for a re-scheduled delivery. Storage on site was very inconvenient and the adverse weather conditions made this worse. I also found the thin metal window sills I decided not to use were not returnable.
Despite that, I am very pleased with the quality and look of the windows and doors and the Livingston office have given me excellent support when I discovered an issue with one of the door locks and later when some parts had been misplaced on site. The Nordan staff replaced the lock and did their best to find replacements for the missing parts this last month.

Brilliant windows and doors, great customer service.

From a technical perspective I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better solution than these windows and doors. Certainly in this price bracket. They are well made and nicely finished and have really good quality hardware. My biggest criticism would be the amount of glazing sealant/adhesive visible on the glass post delivery. The compound is sufficiently difficult to remove that I think it makes sense to take measures to prevent it from getting onto the glass. It seems counterintuitive to go to such lengths to make an otherwise great product and not take some steps to either remove the excess adhesive or prevent it from blemishing the finished product at the manufacturing stage.
The items arrived really well crated and protected when they are delivered although it would be helpful if they could assemble the crates using fasteners of the same type instead of the mixture of PH, TX screws and staples!
Sales and technical staff are attentive and knowledgeable and if they can’t answer your questions on the spot they contact someone who can and revert promptly. The pre-order questionnaire is a little clunky and I think more could be done to make that part of the process easier for the layperson.

Was the more expensive of two options, and wasn't sure if I would really notice the difference. Now they are in can't say how pleased I am that I took the plunge, well worth it. No problems with the ordering/delivery process with clear communication!

Nordan were a joy to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. Their communication was excellent and they took the trouble also with the after care. I would highly recommend to anyone.

My Nordan door had to be replaced due to a manufacturing issue. Excellent service today from the Nordan fitters and the office staff have been very supportive and helpful.
I am extremely happy with my new door.

The only problem concerns timing. It took a long time to order a replacement window. The service was fine and the delivery went according to plan. But it does seem problematic that the replacement for a window broken before Christmas should only be delivered in the second half of May.

Found the help with all the details was really forthcoming, especially the final stages before ordering. Delivery was on schedule. definitely using Nordan for my future projects

No issues from the start to the end of the process
