Honestly these guys feel like cowboys. They constantly suggested they might put fake charges on my account for fake damage, and that they were "letting me off", while in addition having absurdly large... See more

A very dissapointing expierence!
Unfortunately a very dissapointing experience. Paid a deposit 100EUR for the car we rented but chose to keep the 100EUR afterwards even though no damage was caused to the car. They do not respond to emails either.
I can highly recommend NOT to use Nizacars for rental cars.

NEVER AGAIN! NIZA CARS WILL TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT AFTER THE RENTAL
Never again , paid extra for full insurance but still charged for “missing” compressor. After returning the car they told us everything was okay but 2 days later found €500 taken from account. They still have not provided any proof that there was a compressor - clearly a way for them to scam people and take their money. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone in Malaga. Sent various emails back and forth but issue not resolved. Very bad customer service which is reflected by the the poor reviews on here. Will continue to share my negative experience and warn others of this dishonest car rental company.

We felt like we were scammed by Niza Cars
We'd booked our hire car through a UK broker as we always do (about 30 times in the last 15 years). If our plane had not been delayed meaning our hire had effectively started before we got to Niza we would have cancelled and gone elsewhere immediately. We were suspicious straight away. The Niza rep repeatedly insisted we take out their insurance because then, if we had an accident, we 'wouldn't even have to report it to the police'. We refused because we always take out extra cover with our broker which is considerably cheaper then the hundreds of euros he wanted to charge us. We were then told to check the car very carefully because anything not noted before we drove away would be charged to us. We checked that car SO carefully - in fact we concentrated so much on the paintwork we neglected to check the tyres. When we returned the vehicle the staff member went straight to the tyres and pointed out damage which we know we didn't cause. It was as if she knew the damage would be there! 🤨. For perspective, this car was virtually brand new but BOTH front tyres were damaged in a way that was inconsistent with the mileage or our use. Those two tyres were charged at £750. Yes, you did read that correctly. £750. Fortunately the extra insurance through the UK broker covered it so most of it was refunded but Niza delayed the whole process by dragging their heels with the paperwork. And make sure you use a credit card that doesn't charge you for overseas transactions. Niza do not pre-authorise funds like other car hire firms, they DEBIT the amount from your card and then refund it. So if the exchange rate has changed during your stay that could also result in a loss, even if they refund the full Euro amount. We will NEVER use Niza again and would like to shout it from the roof tops - AVOID NIZA CARS!

rented a car from july 31 to august 27 2022
was not sure what to expect after reading reviews from previous customers. Having been renting cars for 22years at malaga i sort of know what to expect. pick-up at airport was straight forward bus driver was helpful. got to desk for car hire this was straight forward and stress free, they asked if i wanted there all inclusive insurance which i declined, there was no hard sell of this (i would advise anybody not taking this to take as many photos as possible car damage to protect their selves when returning car) they offered me an upgrade to an automatic for |£60 euro for the month which i thought was good value. returned car and this process was quick took about 10mins in total they informed me there was no damage and deposit would be returned, this took approx 3days as monday was bank holiday. then back to airport all complete within 15mins. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE OUT ALL INCLUSIVE INSURANCE YOU WILL BE RQUIRED TO PAY A BIG DEPOSIT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. will definitely hire from these guys again.
regards geoff

Excellent Service
I recently hired a car at Barcelona airport with Niza Cars and can not fault the experience. Pick up service was quick, collection was straight forward (I had checked in online before arrival) with insurance options clearly explained. I had my own cover and understood/accepted that I would need to provide a credit card deposit. Car was was clean and a slight upgrade on what we expected. I would consider booking with Niza Cars in future.

Not as cheap as you think it's going to be
The pickup at the airport was easy and the minibus took us straight to the car hire office, the driver was cheery and helpful. Collecting the car was straight forward and I didn't experience a hard sell at the desk for the exorbitant insurance which I declined. As a result I was charged a whopping 1500 Euro deposit on my credit card to cover damage and 100 Euro to cover fuel. They also charged me a 40 Euro late nighr fee because we arrived after 10pm! The cheeky blighters also gave me the car half full and asked me to return it half full. I'd not long left the airport when the fuel gauge dropped to 3/8ths full.
The car was almost new and damage free. Thankfully I managed to return it damage free. My deposit was returned 2 days later but I lost £100 due to credit card fx charges 🤬.
Dropping the car off was quick and straightforward and again we had a cheery helpful driver shuttle us straight to the airport.
Giving 3/5 because of the extra costs I faced

I would advise you all to stay well…
I would advise you all to stay well away from this company. I booked through Malaga car hire, but got lumbered with this company. On arriving, I was late coming out of the airport due to having to wait for special assistance for my father, then being stopped at security for a check on papers and Covid checks etc., so by the time we had all come out and finally ready to catch the bus, we were about 40 mins late, we then waited and waited for a bus to pick us up, but it never turned up, we even asked the other bus drivers where is Niza cars, they kept telling us one would be here soon, one was even kind enough to contact the number for us, but no answer on the number given. After being stood at the collection point for some time, we then took a taxi to the car place, but it was all locked up, long story short and nearly 100 euros later, after taxis to and from the airport and back to the car place in the morning, we were then faced with rude people who would not listen to what we had to say and just talked over us, they then had the cheek to charge me 35 euros for their wasted time, I could not believe what I was hearing. To top it off I booked a 1.5 VW T-roc but ended up with a 1.0 Seat Arona, big difference but yet they still charged the same price for the vehicle, on the original booking (I understand that they say or something similar but a 1.5 to a 1 litre, is a big difference). It does not end there, after a week they took the insurance/damage money, that they should just hold and not actually take out, (I was there for two weeks, so there was nothing I could do until I got home). They charged my credit card 1380.97 euros, but then after the car was returned they only returned 1350.75, so again charging an extra 30.22 euros on top of everything else. This is not acceptable practice as no damage occurred on the vehicle (I have photo's etc to prove it), so why are they taking the charge before the car is returned, this is not acceptable practice and very wrong? I have been hiring cars in Malaga for over 20 years, as my family are Spanish and live in the area, in all the years of hiring, I have never had a company, take the damage money for insurance, before the car is returned and checking to see if any damage has occurred, then not return the full amount and take another 30 euros on top, is certainly not acceptable practice. So my advice would be to stay well away from this company and do not get scammed like me. I will also be writing a complaint to Malaga Cars for passing customers on to such a terrible company!!
Great experience. All went good.
We rented a car from Nizacars for two weeks in February 2022. Once we found the pick up location just outside of Malaga Airport we only had to wait for 15 minutes for their van to pick us up and take us to their office which is a couple minutes drive from the airport.
Check in was fast and painless, make sure you bring your International Driving Permit if you come from North America. We got the car we ordered online through KLM Airline and then had a good laugh about it, the car didn't start (seems like battery was dead) and a lady from reception said "Welcome to Spain". They gave us a similar car, we moved our suitcases and bike boxes from one car to another and hit the road.
This was our first time renting from Nizacars and we were leery after reading all negative reviews. When renting a car abroad we always take full insurance directly from the car rental company (not airline) to have a piece of mind and other perks that come with it, like free additional driver, road assistance, etc.
Returning the car was easy and few minutes later we were dropped off in the airport.
In February 2022 Nizacars had very good rates. Now we are looking for a car for February 2023 and their rates are not as good, so we are shopping around.
But we would defiantly rent from them again and recommend to others.

NIZA cars IS A SCAM
NIZA cars IS A SCAM, we paid for our reservation in FULL ahead of our trip for a two week car rental although because of the existing delays at the airport we were delayed by an hour to pick up the car, as result, they did not provide us with a CAR or a REFUND. As i mentioned, that's a two week reservation that was PAID IN FULL which was NOT HONORED OR REFUNDED. The company will try to scare you and sell you a ridiculous insurance package or try to swindle you to somehow change your reservation for a car triple the cost. Please be aware, this is a dishonest car rental company which is only interested in their profits, NOT ACTING IN YOUR INTEREST.

INSURANCE RIP OFF
Hired a car through Doyouspain and was sent to Niza cars. I had paid for the higher insurance but the rep, Edelweiss, told me that the insurance I had was garbage. She then went through a couple of options which then doubled and tripled the original price. Ended up paying another 61€ on top of the 48€ I originally paid for the Mini.

WARNING
They said that our credit card wasn’t accepted by their system and forced us to pay 160€ directly for an insurance. Even though we called our bank and got their confirmation that our card was a credit card, they were very unhelpfull and rude. We asked for a compensation but they said no to that aswell.
I DON’T recommend anyone to rent from this firm.

I waited half an hour in a queue to be served then another bus arrived and the assistant served the person off that bus before me. She pretended she hadn't seen me but I was the only one left to serve obviously it was somebody she knew. Would never use them again awful service.

Be warned!
This company works to the business model of charging you for damages no matter how small. I'm talking tiny scratches you are likely to take no notice of when inspecting the car on collection. Be warned!
Better yet, shop elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable car hire companies available in Malaga.

NEVER AGAIN!
NEVER AGAIN!
Just returned from Malaga after a 2 week car hire with Niza - NEVER AGAIN!
Charged 247,93 + 21,00 % for "damage".
I was not surprised, since on having refused to accept their representatives, long, "hard sell" to make me take up a higher level of insurance on picking up the car, on returning it, they spent a long time trying to find a new mark/damage to the car. After well over 10 minutes they eventually found a very vague mark on a car door apparently not recorded on their many photographs of previous blemishes/damage - some incidentally being significant! In fact, having hired cars all over the world regularly for well over a decade now, this was probably the worst for scratches etc I have ever hired!
I am QUITE sure we did not cause this insignificant mark. It could easily have been over-looked on previous inspections.
From subsequently reading reviews of this company, clearly this is a regular practice .... for those who do not take up their full insurance! Clearly all money collected due to the many marks/damage on our car over time have not been used for 'repairing/painting' it. ........ Where has it therefor gone? how come Niza has charged clients for damage .... but not fixed the issues? It is no wonder car hire in Spain apparently has such a bad reputation.

As agreed and never any problems
As agreed and never any problems. We have now rented a car 3 times in Malaga - and never had anything to complain about. We chose the full insurance - and when we return it takes the staff 1 walk around the car and a check of the fuel level - and then we are being transfered to the airport. Only reason we dont give them the last star is that there are sometimes a little to long waiting time when they are to hand out the keys and we to sign the papers - but with a little patience it works

WARNING - Be careful
We had rented a car for 10 days, but unfortunately stated the pick-up time wrongly (our mistake, our responsibility). We arrived 4 hours “late” to pick up the car, and as consequence the rental was cancelled. However, the rental was fully prepaid in advance including insurance etc. (several months before), and therefor there was no commercial risk for the rental company.
The rental company would not hand over the car to us. This is a very unethical behavior and seems to be a well-used confidence trick.!!
We were forced to rent another car, at a higher price!

Please avoid this company I booked a car with full insurance through a broker and when I arrived to collect the car they said the insurance was not valid for niza cars and charged an additional €167 bringing the total to €400 so the car was fully covered..and last but not least on return of the car the man wanted an additional €9 for fuel saying the tank was not full..even though I filled the tank full to the brim 1km from the niza cars return garage..luckily for me I took a picture of the fuel gauge before I left the garage when I first picked up the car and it had 1bar less..so I ended up returning the car with more fuel than when I first got it...a complete scam I just wish I read the reviews about the company before..please save yourself the hassle and use a different company..I never leave reviews but felt it was necessary especially after renting cars from Malaga for the past 20 years with no problems
