Oh dear, what a poor first impression for visitors. Returned from Malaga at 2.30pm today. The queue for passport & customs clearance zigzagged through the customs hall, along the corridor, down the... See more

Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience. Immigration que longer for UK nationals than for foreigners.
Not enough airbridge capacity for larger planes.
Baggage takes forever, belts are not long enough for the size of the aircraft they aspire to serve.
The bagge reclaim areas smells of urine.
Witnessesld tempers flaring with staff (which is unfortunate as not their fault) overall way below par. With increasing users the experience will only get worse without investment.
What’s happened to this airport
What’s happened to this airport !
All the staff no matter where you go security, shops so rude .. duty free are rude and snooty, security screaming at people like they are dogs maybe if they were nice as some people are anxious flying things may go a bit smoother, you would think they were prison guards !! Airport is filthy especially the bars horrid place to start off your holiday !
Rip off worst airport
Parking is total rip off and a complete joke . Returned from Spain on the 12th sep 9.30 pm on landing we traveled on the plane til god knows where then had to pack into two buses to the airport building following this took an age to find my car at least half a mile through carpark after carpark from the building . Best part of £100 to park and have to walk miles too and fro the actual airport terminal disgusting
Seating is atrocious
Seating is atrocious, why can't they have proper seats the same as other seats. The airport managment needs to spend the money.
Dirty and overall not a great experience
Recently used NCL for a trip to Mexico, the whole place can only be described as dirty. Toilets not clean, food court area especially at the Burger King area overlooking the runway was disgusting. On the return the first thing international arrivals are greeted with is overflowing bins in the border area. Border farcical also, everyone made to queue for E gates as 4 staff members sit idle on desks for the sub 10 people who can't use gates. When people attempt to approach the border officials they were rudely shouted at to get back in the line for E gates. Not a single employee in the customs area also, very trusting airport indeed. At least the Gregg's always delivers a good breakfast.
Price and cleanliness
Prices in the bars and restaurants were scandalous for food that was substandard and drink served in filthy glasses , floors and tables sticky with god knows what so not a pleasant experience.
Get you tannoy fixed

Well done to Newcastle airport authorities for supplying a smoking area in the departure lounge!! Common sense and customer care at the forefront!!

This place is so under staffed its unbelievable..
Tables were disgusting in the two bars we went into just disgusting..
Prices you pay for drinks and food you'd think they'd employ the staff to at least clean it..
I won't go into toilets it would hVe been cleaner to use a subway.

I needed some special “food” ((fortisip) due to a 24 hour delay in our flight departure. Jane Peters took me through to enable me to purchase something that I could have and was so kind and helpful A credit to the Company
Car parking day light robbery
Car parking day light robbery, £7 for about 15 mins drop off
Parking is a rip off
12 months ago I parked to pick up friends for under $10. Today $50.24 for 18 minutes parking! Absolute rip off
Delays and more delays
On landing at Newcastle we couldn’t exit the plan as they couldn’t locate anyone to attach the stairs due to staff shortage, once this was resolved after a lengthy delay we had to deal with passport control which like all U.K. airports is now a lengthy experience unlike anything experienced within the EU - we appear to now be a third world country- huge delays for e gates and to see passport staff irrespective then despite the delay getting off the plane followed by passport control we still had to await the baggage - really not a great experience and I wasn’t even landing at a busy time - embarrassed to be from Newcastle
Rude staff soured our experience
My family and I recently used the airport when travelling on holiday to Menorca in June 2023. The airport itself is clean and well presented, with good amenities available for it's size. The check in process was straightforward and relatively easy, despite the number of people. Where the airport let itself down on this occasion, was in the attitude of it's staff maning the automated passport control section. They were brusk and unpleasant. I appreciate that they have to deal with high numbers of people and must ensure security is maintained but that doesn't mean that they have to be so unpleasant and rude. Their attitude soured our overall experience and left us with a poor impression of the airport, which is a shame as a lot of the other areas of the process were handled so well.
Absolute expensive cattle market
Absolute expensive cattle market. That's all I need to say.
abuse of power
if there was ever a case of abuse of power then it must be directed at the security staff at Newcastle airport
i was swabbed ,scanned & frisk searched for having a tissue in my pocket.if i was going to smuggle drugs from Newcastle to London why would i go through an airport security check // give a person a uniform and a little bit of authority and they will abuse it every single time
will never use this airport again
