I had the BEST experience today with NFCU. The rep was so knowledgeable, patient and LITERALLY walked me step by step and I mean EVERY STEP EVERY LINK!! I was flabbergasted by the awesome service I received today withdrawing all of my money out of USAA. I give them Ten Toes Down!! NFCU stand on business!!

93 documents. Many of which I’d already submitted and had okayed with an underwriter. 5 diff underwriters. All with different requirements. No communication that I didn’t initiate myself, and issues with wrong names on closing docs. Wow.

I deposited a check from a government…
I deposited a check from a government agency. First they accidentally deposited it twice. So then they canceled both. Then they flagged it as fraud without ever contacting the other financial institution to find out if it was in fact a good check. It's been almost 2 weeks. They still haven't verified funds and they're treating me like I am a criminal. As soon as this check eventually clears or if it gets returned to the other bank or to me, I am closing out my accounts and going elsewhere. I do not recommend this bank at all. I have called them numerous times I have been in chats for hours. They resolve absolutely nothing because if they make up their mind about you without ever verifying anything, they just go with it. This is the worst banking institution.

Fast, Seamless, and Excellent Service
I’ve only been a Navy Federal member for about six months, but my experience so far has been excellent. The entire auto loan process was fast, efficient, and seamless. Everyone I worked with was polite, informative, patient, and willing to walk me through the process from beginning to end.
I always felt like they were working with me rather than just processing an application, and I really appreciated that level of service. The only thing I wish is that my credit had been a little stronger so I could have qualified for a slightly better interest rate—but that’s certainly not a reflection on Navy Federal.
Overall, the experience was incredible. I’m extremely happy with how smoothly everything went, and in the short time I’ve been a member, I’ve really come to love Navy Federal Credit Union. Highly recommended!
