Thank you Tom Gilchrist 😄

It’s a difficult process trying to finalise my purchase in the middle of the lock down but Tom Gilchrist has made it so effortless. His after sales service was also excellent!!

MyLondonHome is a good agent to use

Danny from the Docklands branch was a pleasure to deal with. He managed to get viewings and worked hard through Brexit and Covid curveballs to find another buyer when the previous buyer could not proceed.

Deal with confidence.

I have known Tom Gilchrist for 6 yrs.
we bought 2 properties from him during this time. He has always been very attentive and professional, as well as speedy in his response.
We are now selling our property through him, and he has maintained a high standard so far for My London Home.

Efficient, accomodating and effective!

MyLondonHome have bought a flat for me, sold a flat for me, and are currently selling a second flat for me. They have been extremely efficient and very accomodating towards my tenant, especially in these Covid times. I could not recommend them highly enough.

Unbelievable help during COVID

They provided an extremely professional service, reassuring us all along the way during COVID and updating us constantly. Remzi Halil was instrumental to helping us get onto the property ladder and guided us using his own experience. Highly recommend!

Excellent company who helped us sell…

Excellent company who helped us sell our flat I’m Clapham. Honest, professional with utmost integrity. We’ve had problems in the past with a number of estate agents, as owners, renters and as landlords. It was a pleasure working with these guys! I recommend to all.

Good communication / responsive

Remzi was professional throughout the process and most importantly, was responsive and communicative which put me at ease during a purchase which wasn’t straightforward. He was helpful throughout and generally a nice guy.

WILL "GAZUMP" YOU…

WILL "GAZUMP" YOU…
Be aware of "gazumping" they will require a reservation FEE of 5k, will give you 0 security, and while you start preparing money hire a solicitor thinking "you secured the property" they will still go for a higher offer, get a sec reservation fee from them and pull out last moment leaving you to pay the bills. This happened to us. DO NOT SETTLE WITH A ONE WAY "RESERVATION FEE" REQUEST THEM TO PAY SAME AMOUNT IN CASE THEY DECIDE TO GAZUMP YOU. Very unethical agency.
*UPDATED*
Agency has contacted us and, is threatening to take legal actions if we won't delete the review. Also they said that they have not GAZUMPED us and they not acted unethically. Let me add a definition of Gazumping just in case:
⚠️Gazumping is the practice of refusing to sell a house to someone after you have agreed to sell it to them, and selling it instead to someone who offers to pay more⚠️

Be aware with this agent with purchasing property

Be aware with this agent with purchasing property, you can be gazumped from them ending up in a biding war, make sure you have solid terms to protect yourself when signing reservations agreement, as this will cost you a lot of money. They are a time waster, using you as a stepping stone!
This agent have NO ETHICS AT ALL, Be aware!

Reply from MyLondonHome

Dear Katherine,

I am sorry you feel the experience you had with MyLondonHome was not satisfactory.

The UK legal system not only allows offers to be put forward to the vendor after the vendor has accepted an offer; it is actually a legal requirement. If we were to have failed to inform the vendor of the higher offer, not only would that have been completely unethical it would have also been illegal.

Buying a property in the UK is very different to in Taiwan. Here, the offer is 'subject to contract' even if you pay a holding fee. An offer is not binding until you pay the 10% deposit and exchange contracts through the solicitors, legally committing you to complete. This also protects buyers as it gives your solicitor time to check that the title paperwork is in order.

It is also worth remembering that the vendor had bought this property from the developer for £135,000 more than you offered. That is a big loss for any vendor to suffer. The offer the vendor ultimately accepted was significantly higher than the price you offered, much reducing the loss they were making. You were also given an opportunity to increase your offer further.

If you do have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me directly.

Such an unreliable agent

they attract customer by listing property that has been sold so that they can get your information and and keep advising you other properties. So do not trust them at all. Try ask other agent. It the property is not list on other website they are lying.

One of the agent Jamie in Westminster office has been super unhelpful and strongly advise you avoid this guy.

I don't know if this is all UK estate…

I don't know if this is all UK estate agents but adverts on MyLondonHome have the wrong floor plans, images and information.

For example:

Adverts showing two kitchens in their galleries one being black and the other white when there is only one kitchen.

Floor plans showing one bedroom but, in the information, showing two.

In my opinion this is very sloppy work for properties being sold for over £900k and if this was done in other countries it wouldn't be allowed and very misleading especially for buyers.

It has been a pleasure to work with Ozi Salih for the past 9 months. Ozi acted as our Buying Agent finding us a solution for our accommodation needs in London. Ozi is very hard working, knowledgeable and has great attention to details. Ozi skilfully negotiated our purchase deal to get a satisfactory result for both the seller and the buyer! We would strongly recommend Ozi and we hope to work with him in the future again.

Great service

I've been dealing with Andy Ralph who has been, by far, the best agent I've ever worked with. He's great at keeping me informed of upcoming viewings, as well as immediate feedback once they've happened and his customer care far surpasses any other agents. I highly recommend MyLondonHome & Andy!

Having just gone through a lengthy buying process, Wendy was terrific at keeping all parties on course. She kept me advised and held the solicitors to account. Buying for the first time can be very stressful and confusing, and she was a steady hand.

Wenndy & Steve at MyLondonHome

Been trying to sell a place on assignment for quite a while. Finally found a buyer and Wendy Gould at MyLondon Home has been fantastic chasing after the buyer, bank and solictors and ensuring that a complicated transaction went as smoothly as possible. Steve Sellek also did a great job finding a buyer and negotiating a fair price.
