Constant loading of page, never get to hear anything. Avoid like Coronavirus

Used to really love mixcloud. Then they started to charge you for wanting to rewind a track which I fully accepted. However, when they started doing live stream I thought it might be good to get a pro account so I could do both rewinding and live-streams. But can you believe it you have to have a premium account as well as a pro account to do both of these things! Massive con! Sorry mixcloud, this may have been a much better review if you hadn’t massively failed on allowing pro account holders to rewind.

The platform works well and the interface is good; generally, this is a well designed and executed site which serves its clientele very well. I would give it 4.5 stars were it not for one flaw, so huge that it makes using Mixcloud so irritating I'd switch away from it at any given chance. It's not something that would bother everyone, but a significant amount for sure: their autoplay function. As soon as your desired mix is finished, Mixcloud force you to listen to another, randomly chosen mix which starts the moments yours ends.

You have no way to switch this off; although it would take 5minutes of programming on their part to end huge irritation on the part of their clients, Mixcloud has chosen not to give anyone the freedom to not listen to some random other mix.

Where it becomes extremely irritating is when you might be listening to a mix before sleep for example, or for a quiet ceremony, or for a special event. The atmosphere of that is then smashed to bits in a second by (often) some completely different music following. It could be a deeply peaceful track followed 4 seconds later by throbbing drum and bass.

The explanation they give about why they force this function upon their users and decided to remove user freedom to control their own listening experience, is to 'provide a smoother listening experience'. Absolute crap. They - extremely obviously - wish to get people to listen to other people's mixes and promote other users. And this is amazing. But why they chose tot do it in the least creative and most frustrating way possible is just stunning. It's like if I wanted my child to like eating vegetables and to do so I hold her down and force her mouth open and shove the vegetables in, hoping she'll learn to like them.

There are countless more intelligent ways of nuding people into listening to other mixes and not using Mixcloud simply for their own narrow purposes. It does take some imagination though.

Pretty incredible that in 2020 an otherwise amazing site would build in such a feature as to make it in many cases unusable. I guess their idols here are the enforced ads in YouTube. Great hero to imitate. Great way to foster positive feelings about one's site...

I had a small software problem and MixCloud fixed it fast. So good. The world needs more MixCloud!

I am confused, I thought this was a music site but all I keep getting is porn offers which I really do not want!

I attempted to use MixCloud live stream over the weekend and unfortunately it didn't work very well after hearing feedback. I had issues with sound for end users and then they couldn't get on to the live stream. Still lots of work required to make it a stable platform for all.

When it works, it is terrific, but when there is a glitch in it, and you report it, they never seem to sort it out.

I can only scroll down a few shows that I want to add or listen to, and not to the end of my feed as I used to do. The scroll bar on the right of the screen only seems to go to the end once and it just sits there not loading,

I just started using Mixcloud a couple months ago and was very excited. Compared to Soundcloud, it's very simple and streamlined, and it's great that we are not hassled about copyright at all. However, a couple things still baffle me about the website design:

- search function completely broken. When we click on a "tag" for categories, it just takes us back to the home page. Other times it claims it has ZERO results for something as generic as "melodic house". Still further, when we sort by "recent", it says there's no mixes. That is very bad for new DJs/mixes.
- cannot connect to FB pages. Whenever we click the button to integrate with FB, a window pops up for .5 seconds and then disappears. They admit it's a bug, and haven't fixed it over the past few weeks.
- paying a whopping $10 (!) to promote a mix does absolutely nothing. I probably got 1-2 new plays after used their promote feature. Might as well through my money down the drain.

If they fix the above technical issues we'd be far more willing to pay for pro subscriptions and monetize our accounts. As it stands, the website isn't getting any better and they need new coders.

Once a Mixcloud Pro user goes Live with a stream can we pleased notify the creator's followers that a live stream has started?
Any other advice on how to grow the audience (apart from sharing on social media) would be greatly appreciated

I was locked out of my Mixcloud because I forgot my password and my old email didn’t allow me to view and reset. I contacted the team at Mixcloud and Stephen immediately responded and logged me back in with my new email. It’s times like this where we are all at home and people are reaching out to outlets such as Mixcloud to pass the time and listen to music and podcast! Thank you for all you do!

I used MixCloud in the past and it was a good service, I have now come back to the service due to returning to the music scene! I can tell they have grown over time. Recently I asked for help with an issue and the customer service was fantastic, fast response and very helpful. Also the New MixCloud I have returned to is fantastic! Now with the new Live Beta for Live Streaming is fantastic, even more it’s Legal without any take downs!
I really hope you continue your great achievement and I will be with you guys and girls all the way

It's a great platform, excellent support. I would just work on improving the search engine and making it more advanced and customizable. I sometimes have to revert to Google to find specific sets, since the MC search engine seems to struggle with concrete searches and non -letter characters, such as hyphens.

App is rubbish on android. Music just stops and app freezes.
Was going to pay for select but wants my CC number....thats a big nope from me. Introduce paypal, its 2020!!

What a joke been talking to your team now for 10 days trying to sort my account out now!! I have paid for the premium service and the app is not working and yet you have my money with no support I don't think ill be using you anymore after I figure out how to cancel my subscription after being a fan for 7 + years
