Very poor quality prescription glasses and useless customer support

Very disappointed with Mister Spex.

The glasses I bought within the past year or so have developed a serious quality issue: the tinted layer on my prescription sunglasses is bubbling and peeling off under normal use. They were always stored in the original case and cleaned only with the provided cloth.

Customer support was useless — they asked me to send the glasses in, then sent them straight back without any real explanation.

On top of that, there is no proper way to contact them apart from a limited AI chatbot.

I would not recommend them.

All of the sudden, no more delivery to Belgium, without notice

I've been a client for years now and wanted to order contact lenses again. As I received a mail from Mister Spex that I would get a 15% discount.
However, all of the sudden they don't deliver to Belgium anymore! This without any warning.... but I do get mails saying that I will need to order again..
Worst service ever for a loyal client!

Eine der schlimmsten und…

Eine der schlimmsten und unverschämtesten Kundenservice-Erfahrungen meines Lebens.

Ich habe mein Brillengestell zum Einsetzen neuer Korrektionsgläser eingeschickt. Die Firma hat mein Geld genommen und mir eine Woche später eine E-Mail geschickt, in der sie meine Bestellung stornierte und die Rücksendung meiner Brille versprach.

Die Brille kam eine Woche später zerkratzt und mit der alten Sehstärke zurück. Zwei Wochen und unzählige Chats mit dem Kundenservice später habe ich mein Geld immer noch nicht zurück. Eine absolute Abzocke!

Sie haben nicht einmal den Anstand, mich per E-Mail zu kontaktieren oder mir mitzuteilen, dass es Probleme gibt. Ihr gesamter Geschäftsablauf ist nicht darauf ausgelegt, mit Fällen umzugehen, in denen etwas schiefgeht.

Nach einem Monat dieses Hin und Her sitze ich immer noch mit meiner alten Brille da und habe 187 Euro verloren. Wo ist mein Geld, Herr Spex?

One of the most horrible and rude customer experiences that I've ever had in my entire life.

I sent my frame to be regalzed with new prescription lenses, the company took my money and then sent an email a week later cancelling my order and promising to return my glasses.

The glases retured a week later scratched and with the old prescription. 2 weeks forward and multiple chats with their customer support representative and my money is not back. Such a rip off

They don't even have the decency to contact me via email or say they are having issues from their side. Their whole business flow is not designed to cater for cases where things don't go according to plan.

A month in this back and forth communicating, I am still with my old glasses and down 187 euros. Where is my money, Mister Spex?

Es tut uns sehr leid, welche Erfahrungen du gemacht hast – so soll sich ein Brillenauftrag bei uns keinesfalls anfühlen.

Wir haben deine Fassung in dem Zustand zurückgeschickt, in dem sie bei uns eingegangen ist; da die Verglasung deiner eigenen Fassung technisch leider nicht möglich war, konnten wir keine neuen Gläser einsetzen, weshalb deine bisherigen Werte in der Brille geblieben sind.

Deine Erstattung haben wir bereits veranlasst, diese sollte zeitnah auf deinem ursprünglich verwendeten Zahlungsmittel gutgeschrieben werden.

The quality of goods are good, but the rest .... I made the order online "probieren 4". So 4 glasses arrived for testing, but without sunglass boxes. I dont think that Prada or YSL sell glasses in poliester packs without cases... But ok ... Then I choosed one of the glasses and used promo code for price reduction. on site it was reflected. But in final invoice they didn't consider it and charged me with normal price. Customer service is not responding even though i sent several emails. Online chat is very rough and just quit conversation with you unexpectedly. Even though it is not my first order with Spex - think that after this experience I will not come back to them!... Conclusion: Everytging is good with them before you don't have a problem..!

My order arrived in under a week, which was impressively fast. Everything was handled so professionally, and the glasses came in beautiful, secure packaging. I’m extremely happy with the quality and the whole experience. Highly recommend!

Order Delayed

I ordered my glasses 18 days ago and still haven't received them. First, they sent them with the wrong lens measurements, and I had to send them back to the store. Now it feels like I'm waiting for them forever.

Delivery Times Misleading

Ordered contact lenses in mid-October, trusting their promise of a quick 5–8 day delivery. The tracking showed the parcel reached Cologne, but there was never any delivery attempt, and now it’s being sent back.

I kept waiting, expecting at least some update or contact, but no one ever reached out. No delivery, no communication...nothing.

At this point, I feel completely betrayed and misled. I believed Mister Spex was a reliable company, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing.

And to make matters worse, it’s almost impossible to contact anyone. There’s no real email or customer service, just a frustrating chatbot that gives generic answers and doesn’t help at all.

Instore experince and sales is good but worst delivery system

Instore experince and sales is good, but their delivery system is terrible , no clear updates when it will be delivered, i clearly mentioned to the employee that i will book only if it is delivered before my vacation , he assured it while booking, but till date no clarity , just some one week period mentioned in webiste nothing else, terrible wesbite experince too

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Went to buy Prada sunglasses & payment didn’t go through twice. Then my bank contacted me to say fraudulent transactions on my account. I will never use them again. Very concerning.

The shipping takes forever,you don't get a tracking nr and they also don't offer express shipping.

The status said it’s delivered but it…

The status said it’s delivered but it wasn’t delivered. I contacted customer service chat and it said the delivery is taking longer. I don’t know what information to believe. Please provide consistent information.
