Camper trip from Brisbane to Sydney

The camper was well equipped, clean and reliable. Also being an automatic it was very easy to drive and the cruise control made motorway driving simple.
We did have a little trouble meeting the 3pm deadline to collect at Brisbane ( due to non specific airline delays) but the Brisbane team fitted us in.
All in all we loved the camper it was excellent.

Very bad experience Mighty Campers PERTH

Very disappointing experience with Mighty Campers (Perth – March/April 2026).

We rented a campervan for over two weeks while travelling with our 2.5-year-old child and encountered multiple issues:
• vehicle not properly cleaned at pickup;
• damp child seat from the start;
• major water leak during the trip soaking bedding and personal belongings;
• faulty equipment (kitchen drawer not closing while driving);
• inadequate equipment: hoses too short to empty wastewater in some locations and missing connector to refill fresh water at certain supply points.

These were not minor inconveniences but issues that significantly affected our comfort and the usability of the vehicle.

While the company acknowledged the problems, the compensation offered ($600 AUD) is clearly insufficient compared to the rental cost ($4,832.74 AUD).

We are still willing to resolve this matter amicably and remain open to a fair proposal.

The south-west coast of Australia is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth exploring — just not with this company.

We hope the company will reconsider its position and contact us to find a proper resolution.

Convienient, great customer service and overall good experience.

Very easy from start to finish, we hired our van and got the refuel and cleaning package. It was quick, easy & stress free. The staff were great. Pick up was easy and drop off was easier. When we returned home I reaslied my car keys and airpods were in the Van we hired. We live in Darwin and our keys were in Brisbane. I few phone calls and emails and they were sent to the depot in Darwin with no fee.

We had a lot of things wrong with our camper.

No electric kettle
Wipers come on with blinker
Sliding door doesn’t lock
Fridge latch was broken so fridge kept opening up
Wine glass has chip in base
Navigator doesn’t work
Wiper blades were worn
One head light doesn’t work
Grey water tank wasn’t emptied after the last use
Kitchen sink plug doesn’t work
No butane cylinders no gas for cooker
Shower door is jamming at the bottom

They don't explain well all…

They don't explain well all instructions. They want that stay with the van all nights in a camping.
The van and cutlery were dirty.
The day to pick it up was so busy and we were waiting for 3 hours and later we need to change one day.
The location to pick it up without free transportation is far.
Staff friendly but overwhelmed

Good size camper

Good size camper, great app THL that has lots of great information. Before during & end of trip. The community pantry was awesome to pickup supplies, & then pay it forward with our leftover stuff. My only negative comment would be the person giving the orientation at pickup was very rushed, (we are seasoned rvs & we had to stop her ask specific important questions) any novice inexperienced people would be in serious trouble with what little info she gave in a very rushed overview of camper operations. After reading other reviews we knew to arrive first thing in morning at opening to avoid super long waiting lines. & again at drop off- same thing. The shuttle service to airport was fast & convenient.

Terrible support from THL/Mighty Campers after several issues

The camper was handed over to us in an unacceptable condition. It was very dirty at pick‑up, the living‑area battery was almost empty (forcing us to spend our first day searching for a charging point), and the grey‑water tank and sink were blocked. As a result, the kitchen, toilet, and shower were unusable for several days. The plumber who eventually fixed it mentioned he had seen the same issues in many Apollo campervans.
What made the experience even worse was the poor support from THL. Despite multiple calls, it took five days before the issue was resolved. Although we eventually received a partial reimbursement, it required significant time, effort, and persistence on our part.
Based on our experience, we cannot recommend THL.

Utterly brilliant and amazing.

We had an a amazing trip in our camper which we named 'Might Maggie'.

The space was perfect. The facilities were exactly what we wanted / needed. It was warm and comfortable but also cool when we needed it.

We had our camper for 16 nights in total as we travelled around both the North and South Islands. Although we had some incredible experiences and saw some of the most incredible scenery in the world, one of our fondest memories from the trip was the long drives, listening to audio books and taking it all in. At the end of every day, we thoroughly looked forward to getting back in and relaxing in our own space. Not having to unpack and move suitcases all the time or check in and check out of hotels or rely on public transport was just brilliant.

The thl company was also brilliant. The collection and drop off was smooth and easy and the app was fantastic for finding some great spots and booking campsites.

The only thing that was a bit annoying at times was the noise from the camper as we drove on any surface that wasn't completely smooth. The rattling, banging and changing was sometimes so loud that we couldn't hear the radio or audio books.
Other than that, perfect.

There was a fan heater included in the…

There was a fan heater included in the package that was not included with the van. I checked that it was on inclusions list , but was not in van
The van had no other source of heat
No diesel heater
No heat on air conditioning
Was very cold at night
Also the foam seat cushions are very hard to sleep on, needs a better mattress

We got a flat tyre about an hour after…

We got a flat tyre about an hour after picking up the camper, we were on the side of the busy motorway and were waiting on hold to the helpline to try to find out what to do. I started to change the tyre, the vehicle manual that was in the vehicle did not match the vehicle we were in, the tools that were in the vehicle did not match what was in the manual, the spare tyre was bald. Luckily a Good Samaritan pulled over once the tyre was changed and offered to lead us to the nearest tyre shop, the Good Samaritan was just as disgusted as we were in the state of the spare tyre, he was concerned for my family’s safety and lead us cautiously down the highway to the next town. By the time the helpline answered their assistance was minimal, they were friendly and did sort out payment at the tyre shop once we got to Hamilton.

The grey water tank was already half full when we picked it up and the bed over the cab smelled mouldy.

The brakes on the vehicle were very spongy.

There was no washer fluid.

The only reverse camera was through the seperate sat nav unit and it only worked intermittently. I’m not sure if there was supposed to be one integrated into the vehicle entertainment system, as there were two separate cameras on the rear of the vehicle.

The van was well equipped with everything else we needed to live comfortably cooking and eating in the van.

Bed Bug Nightmare - Replacement Apollo Van

After booking this van over 5 months ago! Paid in full 2 weeks prior to pick up, after being the 2nd person to check in, still had to wait a further 2.5hrs to collect a van. We didn't get the Mighty van, it was replaced by an Apollo. Which ended up having bed bugs. So weekend was terrible! Linen didn't smell clean either. But when your down south 3.5hr from Perth, not much you can do other than try and fix it! But once theyre there, it is hard to get rid of them.
