I purchased a Mercedes-Benz Vito van…

I purchased a Mercedes-Benz Vito van 119 long bass worst decision I suppose I’ve ever made. I should’ve went with my gut feeling when buying the car. The service was very poor. They treated me like I had no money.they Had to look up answers on the computer and never got back to me When asking questions. I really love the look of the car compared to the Toyota’s that’s why I ended up purchasing it and didn’t have a demo model for me so I wasn’t too sure what I was gonna get.
Can’t believe for a car over $80,000 hasn’t even got electric front seats. I could’ve bought a $30,000 car with more features also at around 400 k’s it ended up on a tow truck.

Public Complaint

Public Complaint – Misleading Sale and Unfair Treatment by a Mercedes-Benz Authorized Dealer in Germany

I am a loyal Mercedes-Benz fan and customer.
Since 2013, I have purchased four Mercedes vehicles:

2013 – GLK300 (China)

2017 – B200 (China)

2022 – GLE350 (United States)

2023 – GLC250 Coupé (Germany, company vehicle)

However, in the very homeland of Mercedes-Benz, I have unfortunately experienced multiple cases of deceptive sales practices and unfair treatment by the same authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership — mainly because of my immigrant background and lack of German language skills.

1️⃣ Deceptive Sale (Arglistige Täuschung)

When purchasing the car, I was not informed that the vehicle had a previous accident.
The contract was only in German, and no English explanation was provided.
I signed it without understanding the content, and damage to the driver’s seat was also concealed.
The salesperson told me verbally to repair it myself and promised reimbursement later — a promise that is now completely denied.

2️⃣ Faulty Brake Repair (July 2024)

The dealer replaced the rear brake discs and pads at around 50,000 km, even though replacement is normally needed at about 100,000 km.
The noise problem remained unresolved, and the front brakes still function normally without replacement.

3️⃣ Improper Repair After Marder Damage (October 2024)

After an animal damaged a motor cable, the dealership only wrapped it with tape instead of replacing it properly.
I never received a full repair report, so I cannot file an insurance claim.

4️⃣ Duplicate Billing for Service A and TÜV (May–July 2025)

I fully paid for “Service A + TÜV” in May 2025,
but received another invoice for the same services in July 2025.
Only after personally visiting the dealership could I prove the duplication — yet no official apology was given.

5️⃣ No Real Support from Mercedes-Benz Germany

I have written to Mercedes-Benz customer service several times.
The only reply was:

“Please contact your dealer.”

This response felt cold and dismissive, completely unworthy of such a prestigious brand.

Furthermore,

The German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) refused to issue a full inspection report, saying “Mercedes is our client.”

A well-known German law firm politely declined to represent my case without giving any reason.

6️⃣ My Appeal

I sincerely hope that Mercedes-Benz Group AG will:

Investigate this case seriously,

Ensure that its authorized dealers act with integrity and transparency,

And protect foreign customers in Germany who face unfair treatment due to language barriers.

I still love the Mercedes-Benz brand deeply —
but I hope that in the country where Mercedes was born,
it will also live up to its values of honesty, fairness, and respect.

The worst company for customer care…

The worst company for customer care EVER. I've had a broken windscreen for a C class estate for 6 months now, and Mercedes can't source a new one. A global supply problem, apparently. (Funny how other car manufacturers have sourced alternative suppliers and don't suffer from these problems). I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again.

The service dept rep Jessica Golden of…

The service dept rep Jessica Golden of Mercedes Benz of hunts valley is not to be trusted with the care of your vehicle. She isn't transparent or honest in the way she conducts business. The service director or service mgr is never readily available when requested. Their concern for customer care and resolution is to not return repeated phone calls or messages. I will never go there to have my car serviced or otherwise. Be very wary of the initial pleasantries and fake kindness, care and concern, it's all a facade.

Do not buy a Mercedes

The customer service is terrible. They do not know what they are doing, open the case close it, re-open it, pass me to other departments, taking months of my time and effort. The name Mercedes is supposed to be prestigious but they act like a cheap car sales after market care team with a hooky sales setup at Maidstone branch to go with it.

I will never buy a Mercedes again.

**Title:** 🚫 **DODON’T BUY CARE SERVICES IF YOUR CAR IS NOT BOUGHT FROM MERCEDES-BENZ DIRECTLY — Extremely Disappointed, Poor Service and No Accountability**N’T BUY CARE SERVICES…

Be careful when dealing with Mercedes-Benz Milton Keynes Service Centre.

I bought my **second-hand car** in 2023 and joined the official **Mercedes-Benz Care Service** in July 2023. Before joining, I told the staff that my car was **not purchased directly from Mercedes-Benz** and asked if I was still eligible for the Care Service. They inspected my car and **confirmed I could join**, without mentioning any other conditions. The Care Service contract clearly states that items such as **ATF, spark plugs, and air filters** are included in the plan. The plan also costs about **60% more** than similar packages offered by other service providers — I chose Mercedes-Benz for peace of mind and professional service.

However, during my **MOT service on 24 July 2025**, the staff told me that several items were overdue and needed replacement. They insisted I had to pay because they couldn’t find any record of these replacements in the Mercedes DSB system.

This was unacceptable. My car has been regularly serviced at this same centre since joining the plan. These items are covered under my Care Service contract — I should not be charged extra for them.

I contacted customer service by email, and they told me to call the Care Service team. The Care Service team told me to speak to the service manager. When I tried to reach her, she never returned my call; instead, her staff told me to contact the Care Service contract team again. I called them and waited for more than 30 minutes — no one answered.

Ultimately, I contacted the customer service staff again. She told me to contact another department, but I refused to go through the same communication loop once more. She then took my message and got back to me a few days later, confirming that **they still could not provide the replacement of the parts**, giving **the same reason** — that they couldn’t find the service history in their system.

I have been passed around between departments with **no one taking responsibility** or offering any real solution. This experience has been **frustrating, time-consuming, and completely unacceptable**, especially from a brand that claims to deliver premium customer care.

AVOID

AVOID - DO NOT BUY MERCEDES
out of all the cars we had, this is the most terrible one.
we have a 5-year-old GLC bought from one of the London dealers (the car was 2 years old when we bought it), which by the way are franchises and not taking any responsibility for the product they sell.
the differential was leaking after 2 years from out of the factory and has been replaced after nearly 3 months of the claim plus other minor failures.
now the driver seat has torn off from one side to the other exactly on the stitch and have been told by these guys that is not covered by the warranty. it is so shameful for someone like Mercedes to state this and try to charge me nearly £1000 to replace it.

i hope this review doesnt get deleted. More than a year now and still not sorted.. worst car dealer ever

Mercedes Benz Bath is a happy place…

Mercedes Benz Bath is a happy place staffed by delightful, competent and helpful people. Was considering another BMW 1 series butfrankly didn't much like the new huge dealership based in Melksham. Called in to Mercedes near Bath just to look at the A180 and was picked up immediately by Grafton Lickerish who turned my day into a fun and useful experience finalising in my purchase of a lovely white A180.
Grafton could not have been more helpful and the final handover experience was great and memorable.
Speak as you find and this is probably the best dealer I have ever been to whatever the car.

Avoid Mercedes – Absolutely Disappointed

Please stay away from Mercedes. I recently bought my first Mercedes — and it will definitely be my last.

After suffering a tyre blowout, I was recovered to Mercedes Glasgow. To cut a long story short: they replaced the tyre but didn’t even bother to check the alloy, which was cracked. This is a serious safety risk, and they clearly didn’t care — even though it put me and my family in danger.

When I contacted the branch, their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. No apology, no responsibility — just indifference.

This experience has been nothing short of shocking. The car itself rattles constantly, and it’s a brand new 25-plate vehicle. The build quality is nowhere near what you'd expect from a premium brand.

If I could get rid of this car tomorrow, I would — I’d honestly rather drive a sit-on lawn mower.

Do yourself a favour: save your money and avoid Mercedes. There are better cars and much better customer service elsewhere.

I had one of thBeware of Fake Service “Offers” — A Costly Trap at Coastal Star Mercedes-Benz!e worst service…

I had one of the worst service experiences with Coastal Star (Kochi). They lure you in with attractive service “offers”, and right after the service, unexpected warning messages suddenly appear — issues I had never seen in 10 years of owning my Mercedes. They immediately ask you to bring the car back and then quote inflated repair costs, effectively nullifying any savings you thought you made.

In my case, they retained my car for 6 days without resolution, offered only a partial cost for a repair that clearly arose after their service, and finally returned the vehicle unrepaired. There was no proper communication during this period — extremely unprofessional and irresponsible.

My honest advice: avoid these traps. There are plenty of experienced ex-Mercedes technicians running independent workshops who offer excellent service at one-fourth the cost — without unnecessary upselling to meet dealer targets.

Not competitive quality is bad

I did not trust our friend that advised to don't buy a Mercedes and I feel sorry now. For the price they charge the cars are mediocre starting from the interiors to the basic accessories ending to the quality and durability of the car. Won't buy this brand again as they are not worth it...they break your heart and wallet to fix it...I wish I could have given minus stars.

I left my car for repair at Mercedes…

I left my car for repair at Mercedes Benz of Southend on Arterial Park in April 2025 and without my consent, parked my car in a permit area without displaying a permit.
I got a parking fine from a company called UKPC to pay a penalty fine of £60 for the contravention which increases to £100.
I complained to Mercedes Benz of Southend and the person I spoke to was nonchalant and somewhat sarcastic on the phone.
I then complained to their Central Admin by email and was told the issue would be resolved.
I continue to get threats to pay the penalty charge and I have just got another letter from debt collectors called ZZPS to pay £100 outstanding parking fine plus £70 administration fee, totaling £170.
I am the one that now suffers when Mercedes Benz of Southend parked my car in a permit area without my consent, and without displaying the necessary permit, and have so far ignored to resolve the issue. Despite writing emails to Mercedes Benz Central Admin, I have now being ignored and now faced with a penalty charge of £170 through debt collectors. This has been a very distressful experience for me over an issue that is not my fault.

Mercedes Benz Exeter. Absolutely dreadful service. Repaired oil leak and leaking injector seals total cost over £3000!!! Witjin 2 months both repairs failed. Repaired again and both failed again, unbelievable. Trained professional mechanics, I think not. Their whole attitude stank. Even contacting Mercedes service head office was a total waste of time, didn’t even have the courtesy of a reply. Don’t waste your money dealing with these guys.
