Avoid This Company – Unprofessional and Possibly a Security Risk
Avoid This Company – Unprofessional and Possibly a Security Risk
I made a huge mistake signing up with this credit card company.
I tried to book an online reservation, and my card was unexpectedly declined. I called customer service, and it took over five minutes just to get past the automated system.
When I finally reached a representative, I was transferred to the fraud department—then left on hold for over 10 minutes. Once someone finally answered, she asked for my name and immediately put me on hold again for another 10 minutes.
When she came back, she started asking a long list of identity verification questions, with awkwardly long pauses between each one. I asked how much longer this would take, and she responded rudely. I requested to speak with a manager, and she claimed she didn’t have one and that she works from home.
So now this person—who refused to provide her name—has all of my personal information and is handling it from her home. That’s incredibly unprofessional and honestly feels like a major security risk.
She eventually said a manager would contact me and hung up on me. My card still doesn’t work.
This company is disorganized, rude, and possibly unsafe. Avoid them at all costs.
Borderline Scam!
Worst bank ever DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD WITH THEM huge hassle, you can't sign up online because there is an error. This bank should not be operating this is a borderline scam STAY AWAY at all costs!
Think twice before u deal with NBNA=TD bank
That's the bank (NBNA=TD) which u should avoid at all cost Theirs customer service agents trained to lie to you. Unfortunately I over paid my credit card by over a $ 1000 dollars getting that money credited back to my checking account took lost of phone calls to their use less agents. TD is accused of money laundering in the US It seems to the Canadian banking regulators also looking them a bit closer to their business model . After i got my money back I will happily close Amazon MBNA credit card. Keep you posted I got my money back after 8 days Finally after someone returned my calls the rep was very polite and professional But I indicated to him a following “if I don’t have my overpayment back 3 three days then I will show up one of theirs branch and will not leave until I got money back also I told him the only person can force me to leave that branch is the policeman from the local police station
Az of now my MBNA credit card CANCELLED for ever Thank you for reading my review
Run don't walk from this company
Run don't walk from this company. They lied from the start. Tech support and customer service takes thirty to forty minutes to answer a phone call. 20 + calls in the first 30 days of getting tricked into this card. It never worked properly. Incredibly rude staff, incompetent and very abusive. Can't imagine they keep any customers.

Used the chat option to dispute an online transaction that was pending for days. So I missed out on an opportunity. Ishan wouldn't provide their last name. Couldn't comprehend and skirted around all questions. Absolute zero customer service. Take your business elsewhere.
Absolutely herrible experience
Absolutely herrible experience. Waiting time is 1 hour and 13 minute to speak to an agent. No apology, not zealous to help. I got no help at the end. This is the most unacceptable banking services. The agent's name provided is Risu. date : march 03, 2025 at 10:50am from Vancouver, BC, Canada

Want a credit card where if you get behind on your monthly payment and then have your account suspended? Then this is the bank for you. They will call you 6 times a day, request you make the full credit payment. They don’t send you any information about your card being suspended but they are pretty rude on the phone when you ask them. I dealt with Josh, that guy has no customer service skills because he put me on hold for 9 minutes. Don’t get a card from this dump
Absolutely horrible customer service
Absolutely horrible customer service. Avoid their cards if you can - dealing with the company is wasted time

Terrible experience once I submitted my application and even after I got approved. Each step took an unreasonable amount of time. Unheard of for any credit card issuer in Canada.
Cancelling Mastercard
I signed up for the Amazon rewards MBNA Mastercard right before the postal strike. The card defaulted as payment on my Amazon account, so I accidentally had an amount owing before receiving my card. After hours on the phone to try to get the card number to pay the bill, which I finally received in the mail, MBNA disconnected the call during a transfer to yet another department. I then received the card in the mail and it was not allowing me to sign up for online banking, and instructed me to talk to customer service. This is an impossible task, as the wait time is never ending…hours upon hours. I plan on paying off the bill and cancelling my card. The Amazon rewards were not worth this headache.
Worst Credit Card Experience
Got sucked into the MBNA card for an Amazon purchase Jan. 2, 2025 - biggest regret ever! Still have not received my card and I have no way of paying the bill. Have been sitting on hold waiting for an operator - hours. If I ever get to speak to a real person, will be cancelliing this card immediately after paying my bill. DO NOT apply for an MBNA card, you'll regret it!
MBNA AMAZON WORLD ELITE_ HORRIBLE…
MBNA AMAZON WORLD ELITE_ HORRIBLE SECURITY HORRIBLE SERVICE DISGUSTED.
- issues since June 2024 to present day.
called today literally diverted back to Mbna phone clerk refused to assist .
manager assigned herself to me to assist with the incredible, degree of fraud that had taken place, I became sick missed her call.
the beech of security linked through my emails phone number , Apple ID and into my apple wallet where it crept into my credit cards into my apple wallet.
those were replaced twice. AMAZON MBNA being hit the hardest and still encountering constant issues I am unable to stop or gain assistance with no matter whom I call.
MBNA diverts me to amazon, and AMAZON vice versa 8 months later and thousands of dollars later, ive watched my card always paid off each month to zero after a subscribe and save order, for example this month, my order calculated to approx 450.00 so I paid 500.00 before the order arrived.
the order came in of cleaning , expected my card to be in a credit balance , I owe 190.00 more charges on my account. 12 to be exact. Ive placed no order.
I am not expecting anything in. ive called Mbna explaining the issues over and over they want me to double check as they feel amazon should instantly refund everything from source.
and if they dont they will dispute.
they have found charges they dont understand but others just say amazon. we dont know what they are.
and as everyone who has the world elite card knows you must cross reference numbers its a horrible system. amazon is too busy charging the card, someone is charging the card, somewhere. but asking to get a manager is impossible. I fear replacing another bank card. with Mbna you have no control, blocking does not stop the charges. cancelled orders are cancelled on amazons end but on minas statement end I have paid for 8 months worth of goods I have never received.
and have yet to find a person to settle down to go through everything. now they want me to file paperwork. I have 7 other accounts affected.
Im about ready to just hand everything to a lawyer. the fraud has been enough. let alone the amount of paperwork its created, and the business, personal and everything in between its affected.
thats what FRAUD DEPARTMENTS ARE FOR. I HAVE YET TO GO BACK ON EVERY STATEMENT FROM JUNE TO PRESENT DAY.
I’ve been trying to reach the fraud…
I’ve been trying to reach the fraud line since Saturday, in all I’ve been waiting over 4 hrs. It’s great to get the reward on Amazon but not worth my time
I’ll be cancelling this card, it’s ridiculous to wait this long and of course the chat option can’t help you with fraud issues.
Worst customer service
Total disrespect with customer!
This company is a total mess! Still haven't received my credit card due to the Canada post strike. You have to wait for an hour to get someone on the line and they can't solve your problem. I need to pay my bill and have no account or any information about my credit card.
Service really sucks - its all broken it seems
All I wanted to do was get the card number for my new Amazon credit card so that I could pay it. I needed the number so that I can register it with my bank in order to pay - as I don't have the new card due to the postal strike. The full card number isn't listed online (for security I guess) or via their finicky app (which kept giving me a 404 code). Chat cant help either (after waiting 30 minutes to connect!).
Well, after 3 hours of trying and getting disconnected while agents put me on hold, I still am no closer to resolution.
So, its the next morning and I find out that the numbers I am given to call by both online and by chat agents are the WRONG ones. I have to call the security department at 800-379-2744. Posting this in case anyone else needs this.
Once this is sorted, both my MBNA cards will be cancelled. Life is too short to go through this aggravation.

Make sure you book a day off if you're planning to call MBNA, first it takes them hours to pick up the call and then agent will bounce you to another agent which is again hour or more and that cycle never stops.
Two thumbs down if you want to use it…
Two thumbs down if you want to use it for concert tickets. They just decide it’s fraud and decline it, without asking you or telling you…so you try again and again and they decline it again and again until tickets are sold out THEN they let you know they have questions about the “fraudulent” attempts. I am so bummed. Their system is flawed either ASK when I am trying to do the transaction not after when it’s too late. Called to ask why when I’ve used that cared to purchase tickets and the answer was “I don’t know but you can try again now” ummm no I can’t life ruiners no I can’t.
I have been trying to cancel my credit…
I have been trying to cancel my credit card. Every time I call I am put on hold for up to 2.5 hours. I had to hang up because of the time wasted. This has happened several times. As I am writing this review I am on hold for an hour now.
Very poor consideration for customer service and how they treat their customers. I don’t recommend this card to anyone. Knowing this a division of TD doesn’t surprise me with the service I get way they are so bad.
I would think twice before getting this card.
I needed to report credit card fraud
I needed to report credit card fraud. It was just a few hours after it happened, so a quick response would have prevented charges. I phoned to report it, & was on hold over an hour . . . For FRAUD.
