Je déconseille fortement Capital One. J'avais besoin d'effectuer un virement urgent de mon compte BMO vers mon compte Capital One pour un achat touristique de dernière minute. Or, avec Capital One, il m'a été impossible de recevoir le virement à temps. Lorsque nous avons demandé à accélérer le processus, ils m'ont éconduit et m'ont simplement dit d'attendre. Un comportement scandaleusement irresponsable et un manque total d'empathie envers leurs clients. Je vais sans aucun doute mettre fin à ma relation avec Capital One et me tourner vers d'autres banques. Je recommande également à tous les clients d'éviter Capital One. Advise against choosing Capital One. I urgently needed to make a transfer from my BMO bank to my Capital One account to make a quick tour purchase. However, with Capital One, it was impossible to receive the transfer on time. When we asked to expedite the transfer, they sent me packing and told me to wait. Disgustingly irresponsible and completely unsympathetic to their clients. I will definitely terminate my relationship with Capital One and will look for other banks. I also recommend other clients avoid using Capital One.

I've had this credit card for over 20 years. Received a message that my card may be compromised. I don't understand how, because I have not used it ion a long time. The people I spoke to over the phone do not understand or speak proper English and therefore the issue was not resolved. I have no idea where to go from here.
Capital One is another greedy
Capital One is another greedy, callous corporation. I had been a client for nearly a decade. Each time I made a payment towards my Capital One Mastercard, it would be applied on the next business day. That does not include weekends and holidays. The last payment I made took three business days. I called Capital One to inquire, and they tried to gaslight me, by stating it has always taken 3 business days. I had my past statements as proof otherwise. They changed their system payment processing times without informing clients. This caused me enormous inconvenience. I ended up closing my account. Their customer service is poor as well.

I have had an amazing experience with Capital One. Augmented my credit limit after a year or so. Amazing agents (From the Filipines); Vella today helped me erradicate Adobe and other thieves!

I would rate it zero stars if I could. I used to have a card years ago with a $200 limit and didnt pay on time. Card expired. They WILL NOT give second chances. Even if you apply hundreds of times Everyone makes mistakes while they are young and its stupid to hold that against them years later. Give me another chance capital one and ill change my rating!
Insane Situation!!
5 years with my card, haven't missed or been late with a single payment. They sent me a statement as they do every month, minimum payment was $42.00, I made the payment, 1 week early.
Went to use my card (which showed over $2000 free online) for a $70 bill at a restaurant, declined.
Called support, they froze my account because my minimum payment was missed by $9 dollars, and not correctly listed on my paper statement. I sent them the pic of the statement to prove it. They did nothing. Paying this card off immediately and closing it. Absolutely ridiculous. 0/10 on their support too, the guy I spoke to was incredibly rude, not to mention useless.

Dog shit company. I've waited 3 months for my replacement card and called and was told it's on its way. They're lazy and not from here so they don't care to do a job correctly. Now after 3 months I call again and it was never sent. Useless company and shitty customer service. Shouldn't exist for how shit they are
Online fraud
Second time in the last 45 days I got scammed while doing an online purchase. The first one was for an app allowing to retrace a cell phone to the exact location for like an amount around $9 for a one time fee. They charged me various $ on a 3-4 days period without authorization. Secondly, bought a $149 bone conduction headphones but I received a $40 pair. Fake email for customer service. Capital One credited my card very very rapidly in those 2 instances. Awesome customer services.

Horrible process
I used my card at a bank machine that didn't work so I tried at the same machine again. Capital one flagged my card. I was told to send in ID verification through their portal and told it would take 24hrs to verify the ID I used to intially used to qualify to get the Capital one card. Then after the 24 hrs was I up I get a call telling me they need to verify my mailing address, proof of income and tax return so I submitted the what was requested then told I had to wait 3 to 5 business days for a response. My point is that if you are ever in an emergency or a foreign place don't ever ever depend on Capital one because you may be away from home and can't get food to eat or a hotel room or a cab. Disgusting.
Utterly Useless
Useless credit card company. DON'T BOTHER. Impossible to get help if you need or if you do get helped be prepared to spend hours of the phone with people who don't speak english very well.

I was sent an email from Capital One offering a pre-approval for a $7,000 credit card with a soft credit check. Based on that, I applied, expecting the advertised terms. Instead, I was offered a $300 secured card, and a hard credit check was performed without my consent.
This feels misleading and like a bait-and-switch tactic. Marketing suggested one product and credit pull, but the reality was very different. Be cautious if you receive pre-approval emails — the final offer may not match what is advertised, and it can impact your credit score.
They ask for a yearly membership fee and steal it if you don't use your card every single month
I (Lexi Place) paid this company $300 in security funds for a credit card (so basically not a credit card as I was only using my own $300 that I had originally sent them) and then was charged an additional $60 on top of it for a *yearly* membership. I used the card a few times and then lost it. I started paying it off a month or so later and then I started getting returned checks, from the payments that I was making. So I called, as I wanted a new credit card anyway, so I could start using it again. Doesn't the Capital One representative tell me that my account has been closed due to inactivity which is why my payments were being returned. I didn't know I was obligated to use my card every month? It had an outstanding balance however, it was my own money anyway, and I had all intentions of paying it off so that I can still use the card... I paid for a yearly membership so I thought I would at least get a year out of my $60 investment. Apparently not. Do not use this company. What a complete scam. I am now out $75, out of all of the money that I had sent them, $75 of that, was not returned, and I don't have a credit card to use, and my $60 payment for a yearly membership has just been forfeited?? I mean, if they really wanted the $10 minimum payment that bad, don't you think they would call me or email me or something? It seems more likely that this card is a scam and they are just doing it because the $60 is worth more than the $10 minimum payment. It's not like they were out any money, I paid a security deposit so I was only using my own money for that credit card...
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. In the end, I was hung up on, which is wild to me because I was quite calm considering the circumstances. I guess the guy didn't like why I was questioning where the $75 payment went. He kept telling me that it takes 150 days to return the funds. Funny how it takes 150 days for them to send me my money but, they will shut my account down if I don't use the card for a month??? I'm so lost on how they're able to shut people's accounts down for inactivity, when the money being used was not even theirs to begin with
Absolutely terrible customer support
Absolutely terrible customer support. I received my card about a month ago and I haven't been able to access my online account with it throwing an error. When I called them the first time they didn't listen to what I was saying and just said to follow a link to sign up (Which I already did!) I got mad and hung up. Now months later I tried to access my account again and same thing happened. I called them and she tried to send me the same link again. I got irritated and explained to her again saying I already did that and she put me on hold to talk to someone about it. When she got back on the phone she basically brushed me off and told me to call back tomorrow!!! I paid for this credit card to rebuild my credit and they took my money and now are just giving me the run around. Time to take my business elsewhere.

*UPDATE* Oct 18: So through no fault of Canada Post, I haven't received my new card, because the agent I spoke to NEVER SENT IT. I'm highly disappointed, beyond words. After calling today I was assured it is being sent by courier. This has been quite a frustrating experience.
October 15: I've had really positive experiences with Capital One, OTHER THAN when my card recently compromised, my new card was sent by "rush processing" while Canada Post was on strike... So over 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for my card... it should have only taken 3 to 5 days. Please send cards with an alternative service when the postal service is on strike?

5 Day Delay for Refund at Capital One
I had a reservation at Samesun Vancouver Hotel. My plans changed so I called to cancel my reservation and I followed up with an email. Still my Capital One Card was charged. I immediately called the Samesun and they refunded me 5 minutes later. I called Capital One and they said it would take 5 days before I would be refunded. What financial companies do is hold onto your monies and collect interest on all the payments and refunds they are holding. That is how they make money and it is really wrong. They inconvenience me, when Samesun Hotels immediately refunded me, and Capital One pretended that there had to be a 5 day delay. They also hold payments for 3 business days before applying them to the credit card, also for the same reason, to collect interest on bulk payments before applying them to individual accounts. The payments could be applied immediately but then they could not collect the interest and make more money for themselves. Really unscrupulous business. I would highly recommend staying away from Capital One all together.

They are the worst. I accidentally sent my money for the deposit instead of spending. It took so long to straighten out, I got frustrated and told them cancel my card. It’s been 6 months and I’m still waiting for my 1200$ back. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!!

I tried to rebuild my credit after Buy well and Credit Karma recommended them so I had faith and it was a very poor call. They laughed at me openly upset when they said it'd take me 6 months to get my money back.
