The worst of all time

The worst of all time. Nobody answers the phone after some incompetent delivery person decides to reschedule the parcel delivery. What a waste of time and money.

Send a registered letter on 6 September, still not delivered.

Send the same documents with Malta Post courier on 6 October 2023, still not delivered.

Homing pigeons are faster

I sent documents via tracked courier 2 weeks ago now and they're still not delivered. If I had known it would take so long I would've bought a homing pigeon and strapped my documents to it!
Why is their service so bad???

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I opted for temporary mail custody, but experienced late mail delivery, undelivered packages, and damaged collectible magazines due to careless handling. Despite providing evidence in five messages, responses were delayed and inadequate. We had to retrieve a package ourselves to prevent its return to the sender. Their solution? Suggesting a larger letterbox and requesting we bring damaged magazines to a Malta Post outlet—all for a minor $8 refund. After last year's incident of damaged wine bottles during a Malta to Gozo delivery, and their false claim about the damage's origin, I cannot recommend their services.

Don't ship with this company.

Please, do no business with this company!! We shipped goods with this company to Malta (through PostNL) and they labeled our order wrong with another customer of another company. So our customer received the goods of another company, which meant that our goods have been lost. If MaltaPost were to take full responsebility and fix it with us - then all would be good, faults can be made. But no, MaltaPost told OUR customer that WE fault the fault of relabeling the order... how in the world can we create labels of MaltaPost if the company details of another company. Truly.. it frustrates me that companies like this take no responsibility when something goes wrong and even blatantly lie to look good. So please, just don't ship with MaltaPost.

Ordered hundreds of items from outside…

Ordered hundreds of items from outside the country once they arrive in Malta they are usually delivered the next day. Only had a problem 1 time were the delivery man didn't ring the door bell and just left a paper despite me waiting for most of the day.

No complaints. Much appreciated services.

I've lived here 20 years. I have had good service in all the areas all over Malta.
The people in the post office,the postman and women have all been friendly and helpful.
I hear a lot of complaints but for myself and family the service is fine.

Awful services!!!

Awful services!!!. If you can say they offer services at all. Postman do not ring bell anymore, they just leave a note in the mailbox for the parcels. It happens that I work from home so they could find me most of the time at home. When you complain to Customer Care on the phone they simply say they cannot help you and is best to write an email. If you write an email they just acknowledge the email and that someone will be in touch soon which never happens. There is no hope for this company and disaster they created!!!

Inexistent customer service

Maltapost does not answer their two phones. No chat was available as promised on their answer machine and emails answered days later with template answers. They kept referring me to go to seller. I am the “seller” and I sent the item to Uk. I am not expecting a parcel but I sent a parcel.

They don’t read the text of their customers. Total customer disaster.

As regards postal delivery, like other reviews, postman does not knock on door but leaves a slip in letter box. Easy does it.

The item has now arrived but I received no customer service from Maltapost.

Days go by before receiving a reply to an email. Funny enough the moment you email back for an update, a reply comes through right away with generic info and not even acknowledging the info I provided.

Avoiding their one job completely!

The wonderful employee came at about noon, rang our doorbell four times in a second and bashed at our door and by the time I got to the door no one was there, even though I yelled that I was coming.

The only reason I know it was anyone from the post office was because I checked my security cameras which showed them coming to my door, banging it and immediately turning away. I wouldn't have been able to get down in time to open the door unless I had known before hand and unless I ran down the stairs!

Best part was they didn't even bother filling out the note that says that they visited you!

Malta Post

Malta Post, the name says it all for itself. It's the same as the country is, total mess and disorganised. They are so bad in everything and why would anyone expect from post service like this, to be any better. From 2 years using the service, around 60 pkgs in total, 26lost, 14 delivered with items missing, 20 lost.... Payed nsurance on all... customer care transfers responsibility to another company. The other company says it's not their responsibility... THE SAME AS THEIR COUNTRY IS. MALTA IS TOTAL DISGRACE. I don't understand how they are members of EU. Service is trash and country is a trashcan, dirty and filthy like no other else.

Postman and Clerk giving wrong directions

I believe that everyone can make mistakes - its just MaltaPost (hereafter referred to as MP) do not seem recognise this fully nor willing to proactively rectify this. The customer ends up absorbing MP's clear sense of apathy and poor professionalism at their expense (especially when dealing with a frustrated customer).

My case was very straightforward and simple to resolve.

After missing the postman on the delivery date/time of the parcel (and I will not contest whether my intercom was called up or not. Let's say I was at home at the time the slip was signed).

I duly went to the relative post office (as per tracking number) the day after at around 9:15am. However the frontdesk advised me to go to a different branch (as also indicated by the delivery slip). She gave me the right indications to this branch.

So far so good.

After holding on a tight queue for some odd 50mins at this sorta branch, I was told that the parcel wasn't there.

So let's say I wasted my full morning hopping from one branch to another, I called MP support demanding for a clarification at around 10:15am on the same day.

I have finally managed to get hold of a MP rep - I was first told that I should pick the parcel to the first branch again. After I told the MP Rep that I will raise a formal compliant, she duly opened up a ticket and documented my story.

Although I could sense indifference, I was OK with that and possibly finding an immediate positive solution to this inconvenience.

2 days pass (one of which was a public holiday), its 10am and find no form of follow-up nor feedback. So I called support again explaining the situation and importance of getting the item re-delivered on the day since I cannot stay wasting another day in vain and I needed the parcel as I was going to be away - yet to no avail.

The call was inconclusive.

I was told that it will be looked into and most probably I will probably need to pick the parcel up myself.

Needless to say that I was totally flabbergasted at this sort of behaviour and professionalism (or lack thereof). To the extent that I told myself that I would rather take an hour off my duty and collect the parcel myself at this point.

Bottom-line - MP should really step up their CS efforts including training to front liners and postmen (to indicate the right locality). If a mistake is done by the company, then the company should rectify accordingly.

Not capable to deliver parcels

Almost all former state postal services are a disaster at delivering packages. The only that has some success is Dutch Post, the rest are just structurally incapable to adapt to deliver parcels. They continue to be able to deliver letters, but that is their only real ability. Malta Post is no exception, they are incapable to deliver parcels.

SendOn lost package of over €200 and no solution for over 3 months

I have been in contact with MaltaPost customer care for over three months, who were trying to locate a SendOn item sent to their German hub, for which I have clear proof of delivery, but MaltaPost have neither been able to locate the package in this time, nor provide me with any solution other that copy paste messages and trying to shift the blame on me. They are not a reliable company and I have lost over 200 euros on a package they misplaced or that was stolen by someone in their process. They even admitted they have a number of other similar cases with missing packages but insist they are not responsible. I will definitely never be using their services again.

Avoid their service at all cost, pay for other express services

if you live in malta whatever you buy online, never , ever let them use regular postage service, got an item coming from newzealand, came to malta in few weeks, then got stuck two month, now receivend a notice telling me custom charges aren't payed, so they sent it to local post office to collect, I usually receive notices about custom charges and pay them online, let them deliver it, but not this time, nothing done and give me stupid excuses like 'they sent an email' , but cannot even tell me which email they sent to, apparently not mine.
now when I go to local post office, giving me s**t like original id/passport ... required, and won't even look at copy of my documents that stored in phone
And even refuse to redeliver when I contact again by phone! told them I can pay online, and let the redeliver , yet getting 'payment link is expired'

The most useless company in Malta

Literally the most useless company on the island. They have one job - to deliver packages - and they somehow manage to completely mess that up. They spend more money marketing their garbage company and actually spending to run it. Sent quite an expensive package to be returned to Amazon with insurance over 3 months ago, and its just disappeared. The only reply I got was "we are sorry" and closed my case.

Packages take literal months to be delivered and that's if they even reach you. They loose packages and don't even care. Complete disgrace of a company.
