I recently rented a car from Malco Rent A Car, and while the car itself was in good condition and the pick-up process was smooth, there were a couple of frustrating issues that impacted my experience.

First, although they advertise a quick delivery time of up to 5 minutes, I ended up waiting over 40 minutes at the airport after calling multiple times for the vehicle. This was quite inconvenient and left me feeling that the service was not as advertised.

Secondly, after returning the car, I was told my deposit would not be refunded because the fuel tank was allegedly not full. However, there was no clear instruction about this requirement in any of the return protocols or the initial rental agreement. It feels misleading to withhold a deposit based on conditions that were never clearly communicated.

Overall, while the car was fine, the delayed delivery and lack of transparency around the deposit policy have left me disappointed. I’d advise future renters to be cautious and clarify all terms, especially regarding the fuel and deposit.

Picked up car from Alicante airport told drop off driver petrol only half full he said don’t worry bring back same. Send what’s app photo to remind him. Returned car over half full pick up driver remembered us from pickup. MALCO have now charged us for not returning car back full of fuel. Been ripped off and MALCO not answering email or what’s app !!

I booked a car using Malco and they provided a damaged vehicle with filthy interior! I tried calling them to get it replaced but they ignored my messages and calls! When I emailed, all they offer is a free upgrade on the next booking! Do not use!!

It was a good company, not anymore : web site broken for days, no answer to email, no answers to phone calls. Is the company still alive, and if yes are they still interested in renting cars?

I am a big fan of MALCO . Today definitely reinforced this opinion . The Golf I ordered had not been returned in time . So the super kind lady on the desk upgraded me to a brand new VW T-Cros but at the Golf rate . The process was smooth . The service is always professional and client centric . The best !

Very fair prices, not ripped off like most other car rental companies, great little car in perfect condition, friendly staff at Alicante Airport, easy collection and drop off

5 years happy, I have rented cars from Malco for 5 consecutive years, at Castellon Airport, no other rental company has offered that assurance of only paying 100 euros deposit, that's for fuel, and is returned promptly if you refill, if you don't they will only take a little more than the fill up cost. Considering you are not next to a petrol station I think that's fair play. Most importantly you are covered for any damage. I haven't ever damaged a car, however other companies take a 1000 euro deposit and are likely to complain about a dust scratch, which can be removed with T-Cut.
Rest assured Malco, for me, personally, have been the best rental experience I've found in Spain. I say that genuinely, after troubles with bigger corporations.
It's the type of service that benefits customers, I hope it continues with the same ethics, makes life so easy for holidays with no car stress.

Just got to Malaga airport to pick up our car. Only to be told the meet & greet guy has no record of our booking. We have a booking reference number, a confirmed booking email. But still no & as it’s a Saturday the office is closed!! Shocking service. Please do not use this car rental company!!

Brand new car, quick and friendly service at pick-up and return in Alicante, all details clear from the start and friendly support online anytime, great price with full insurance. Got no worries for 2 weeks. Excellent service, great experience. We will be back for a new rental 100 %.

If you rent a car from Malco with limit of 1200 kilometers please take a good look before you sign the papers.
My story begun on 10 august 2024 when i have arived at the Alicante Airport. I called on the provided phone number and i get to the pickup point explained in the confirmation email. In just a few minutes a guy from the Malco staff has arived with car and the papers. We looked on the papers and at the leaving kilometers section were different from what was writted on the car screen. Because it was late and the Malco office closed we taked a picture of the paper, screen of the car and the id of the Malco reprezentative and we left to our acomodation.
When I handed over the car, I informed the person who was in charge of picking up the car about this aspect and he assured us not to be worry that everything would be resolved, and it was.
Overall, I can say that I was very satisfied with the experience I had with the Malco company and I recommend it to everyone.
Although I only give them 4 stars because of that mistake.

Avoid this Company.. Arrived Valencia Airport after a 2 hour delay. Called the number and no answer Called again and again and then Called the office and again no answer. This was 9.30 pm Saturday evening. Had to get a cab to Moraira costing 200 euros. The next day I called the number again and a man answered and told me they don't check flight times and then hung up.
Absolutely the worst treatment ever by a car company.

The experience with Malco has been very positive. We encountered that Malco is one of the few places in Spain with high customer service, friendly process for rentals and great value of your money.

Just arrived back from Alicante where we used Malco.. great price, great service.. car was spot on. Only problem i would comment on is that we ordered a medium/ibiza size car and we got an Opel Corsa which was smaller than an Ibiza. Was a squeeze with the kids and bags, but we managed

I'd like to write in complaint of your "no Queue!" statement on car pick up. We did everything you asked in the collecting protocol, only to have to wait over 90 mins for anyone to deliver the car. we rang the number multiple times and felt that we were not understood. It caused a lot of anxiety and stress, as well as 35 degree heat as we waited and waited. Due to this we missed our key pick up at our Villa and had to wait another hour. Not impressed

On return it went better, but nowhere in the protocol for returning does it tell you if we need to re-fill the fuel tank, was this expected? we asked multiple times when we rang, but again no one could understand our English.

I've just been credited back £36 from the 100 euros, I take it this was for fuel, where nowhere in the "collect and return protocol" is stated to fill up. I do not appreciate monies taken with no notification from the company.

Great company, lovely staff and extremely efficient.

The service in Valencia is excellent. They give you a great car and you pay everything at once, no hidden charges if you choose to pay the excess straight away. Due to personal reasons we had to return the car earlier and they readjusted the price and gave us some money back, which was excellent.
However their colleague in Alicante, where we returned the car, was not so professional. Was late to the airport and made us pay to renew the express parking ticket which should have been him doing since he was late, plus he didn't speak any English.

I arrived in Alicante, our flight was delayed several hours so we didn’t manage to get in until 2:15am. We paid a late fee of 30 euro and I had to collect the car off site but was collected to do so.
The car was perfect, dropping back was seamless and very prompt. Easiest I’ve done. My fuel deposit of €100 was refunded next day. I would recommend this company.

Value was amazing and everything went exactly as said.Car was dropped to us in Valencia airport and was collected from us at the same location.Definitely going to use them again.
