I purchased an Alfred floor lamp from…

I purchased an Alfred floor lamp from Lighting Direct Nelson on July 09, for my new house and paid $225.70 for the privilege.
What a load of rubbish.
It should be called a Pizza lamp. It will not stand up straight but leans towards the floor. The amount of thread holing the sections of the light stand are ridiculously tiny and will not support the weight of the shade which wants to succumb to gravity.
The product is poorly made and should not be sold.
I will think twice before purchasing any product from this company again.

Bad company. Avoid at all costs

I purchased a ceiling fan and after install the item did not work. Requested a return which took 3 attempts to have faulty item collected. I then received an email saying that after inspection the refund would not be issued due to no fault found and signs of install. (Well it would do as I installed it to find out it had a fault) they said I can have item back but would need to pay delivery costs or they would scrap the item. I have sent many emails and tried calling with no answer.
No item nor money back. What a bad company and please do not purchase anything from them.

Where the heck is my order????
Why doesn't this company reply to emails???
I ordered an outside light on 29th November and despite several emails asking when I might expect it...I've heard nothing !!!!! Why¿?
All I want is to know I've paid for an actual item ..
Also a company that doesn't respond to reviews that are less then positive is a company that doesn't care and doesn't listen to customers.....
Meanwhile I await my outside light which is very much needed as I live in a village with no street lights so it's very inconvenient indeed !!!!!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I ordered a couple of items from them 2 weeks ago. The website said delivery between 24 and 48 hours. I have spent the last week on and off the phone to them due to them telling me that my items would be with me the following day. Eventually a sent them an email and the response I got was that the order was held up because one of the items wouldn’t be in stock for another 3 months. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPONY ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TRYING TO RUN A BUSINESS!!!

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible. I ordered 6 track light heads and they sent 1 and back ordered the other 5 for 4 months ... really? I chatted with customer support and they said they would find me alternate items. Total radio silence after that. I get an email about the back order with a number to call if I want to cancel. After navigating the phone tree which was awful, I sat on hold for 30 minutes before talking to a human. And had to reorder alternate items with $85 one day shipping in hopes they will get here by the time my electrician does.

Buyer beware

Having purchased an outdoor lamp post from them, in the recent high winds it has snapped off at the base. The metal at this point is only 2mm thick and clearly not strong enough for it to support the pole and lamp head. Also as I have seen in other people's reviews I agree with the comments regarding the poor fit of the glass. When I contacted lighting direct priory to it snapping, regarding the glasses falling out there reply was that they could not supply replacement glasses.
Regards to the snapped post was basically its not built to stand up to winds. Clearly if it's sold for outdoor use it should be fit for purpose. They go on to say that as its not an electrical fault the 3 year warranty dose not apply.

Moving delivery dates.....the order cancelled!

Placed an order and was given a delivery date, nothing arrived. Then an updated delivery date was provided. Still, nothing arrived. Sent an email querying the status and was told that they were out of stock and had cancelled the order. If a company can't get these basics right it is a big red flag. Won't be ordering from this company again.

I have returned two lamps

I have returned two lamps. One because it was defective and another because it was not as picture. While the provided shipping labels, I had to haul the big boxes to UPS. Then, in both instances, they did not credit my credit card until I called them. I called them 2-3 weeks after I sent in the return and in both cases, they acknowledged that they had received it. A total waste of time.

Scam Artist is the right word!

I ordered outdoor lights for my house in November of 2016, not lights showed up the first month, they said to me that it was lost in warehouse & that they were going to send another. Second month; still no light, when I called they now told me it was on back order. Every month on the 21st since I've gotten a notification email that it has been back ordered AGAIN & AGAIN. It has now been 5 months & when I asked for my money back, they told me they had to notify the manufacturer, to get my money back. The SAME people who apparently were supposed to be making my lights the past 5 months!! Still have no clue when I'll get my money back & its March of 2017. Definitely con artists!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Do not order anything from here

I order 2 light pendants for my kitchen each costing around 80-90 dollars. They arrived and were terrible quality. They were cheap looking and not the color it seems on the website and immediately knew I needed to return. The return cost me 30 dollars out of pocket because of the size of box. There are MUCH better companies with quality lamps and better customer service. You can buy beautiful light pendants from west elm for this same price. I won't be ordering here ever again.

A+++ service!!!

The customer service was amazing, I was a little short on an order because a price went down over Black Friday weekend so my order no longer qualified for free shipping because it wasn't $50+ anymore, a customer care representative helped me (on chat) adjust the price just a tad, & I will never forget that. I was able to order it. :) I also appreciate the fact that even though one of my two items ended up not being in stock, I was refunded almost immediately. Hard to find that kind of customer service anymore. When my other item came in (a sconce), it was absolutely beautiful. When you are stressed out moving into a new house trying to get it together & buying all the things you need, you can't beat a company willing to work with you & work around your busy life. Bait and Switch

Ordered four exterior wall mounted sconces at $20.00 each. Site advised 4 - 6 week delivery (which means it is in production) . Three days later they advise this particular finish is no longer being manufactured. I ask to have it replaced with the exact same size and style but in a different finish. Of course the different finish is $40.00 more . . . each. So an $80.00 order magically becomes a $240.00 order. Scam Artists.

Read their terms before purchasing anything !!! They are responsible for nothing.

Junk products - won't honor reliability claims of products

I bought relatively high-priced LED bulbs for tracking lightiing 18-24 months ago. I thought I was buying high quality products, and they claim to last 35,000 hours, so I thought it was worth the premium price.

However, they only warranty bulbs for 12 months, and since 75% of my bulbs have failed between 18-24 months, they aren't interested in my business. These lights get used once a day for 10 minutes on a typical day, and used all day for maybe 30 days, so that is under 1,000 hours, so they should have plenty of life left in them.

Customer support thought they were pretty old, and thought it was unreasonable that I thought they should last this long.

I think they must not be able to do math, since the claimed 35,000 hour lifetime would mean they should be expected to run for 4 years at 24 hours a day....

PROBLEMATIC RETURNS

I purchased a $622 fan which could not be assembled as described. Company agreed to accept return, and received the return with RMA number as required. The company however failed to credit my account. When I called 2 weeks later, they apologized and explained that they failed to link the return to my account, but assured me that the refund would follow shortly. After another 2 weeks and no refund, I called again and this time they blamed their computer for "kicking out the refund" on their system. I am assured that the refund will be issued, but it has taken 3-4 phone calls and undue time to track this. I would be careful to only buy if you are confident that you will not need to return any items. Amazon sells similar items and has trouble free return policy mostly.

No customer service

Maybe they think they are too large to fail. After having an issue with a delivery I could not find assistance. They have thousands of items that do not belong to them. All from other companies. Just a large drop shipper. The employees do not care. I will stick with smaller companies where I can speak to an owner if needed and where employees care.
