Good although can get certain other drivers quite annoyed at slower acceleration to achieve a good score. We live in a fast- paced 'me' society!

Lightfoot has been specifically designed to help businesses run safer and more efficient fleets. Unlike traditional big-brother black boxes, Lightfoot is all about the driver, the human-in-the-machine, and the person with the power to make the difference. Lightfoot empowers those in the driving seat to drive change by adapting their driving style through visual and audible prompts from our unique in-cab device. When drivers adapt to Lightfoot's smoother driving style, they become 'Elite Drivers' (scoring 85% or above). For some drivers that’s a big change, for others a small change, for some it’s no change at all. ‘Elite Drivers’ receive benefits and rewards via the Lightfoot app, which includes features such as The Drivers Lottery where 1 in 10 ‘Elite Drivers’ win cash prizes every week - we are the world’s first technology to reward better driving. When a fleet as a whole achieves Elite status, this can result in reductions in fuel consumption and emissions of up to 15%, reductions accidents by up to 40% and wear and tear costs reduced by up to 45%. Lightfoot is the only Insurer-endorsed driver safety technology thanks to validated accident reduction results seen over millions of miles of driving data. Lightfoot is installed in 30k+ vehicles and is used by 50k+ drivers from more than 200 companies who are committed to safer, greener and more efficient motoring. If you are a business customer already using Lightfoot and require support, please contact your Account Manager or support@lightfoot.co.uk If you’re a Lightfoot driver – our Engagement Team would love to hear about your experience through driverrewards@Lightfoot.co.uk - the Engagement team are here exclusively to help you the drivers, not your employers. We understand that changing years of driving habits can be challenging and even irritating at first. Remember, you don’t need to be perfect, the target is 85% not 100%, which gives you plenty of scope to drive in the amber and red when required and still achieve ‘Elite Driver’ status. We created our industry-first driver engagement platform – real cash, real rewards, real prizes, real winners – to ensure drivers are rewarded for challenge and inconvenience of adapting to Lightfoot. One in ten ‘Elite Drivers’ win cash prizes every week through The Drivers’ Lottery. As a driver, you are one of more than 50,000 using Lightfoot. The vast majority of drivers are happy with the experience, but a tiny proportion (0.1%) have used this forum to express their displeasure. We hope that your experience has been a positive one and that you’re here just having a look around, but if you are frustrated and here to vent your rage then please instead contact our Engagement team via driverperks@Lightfoot.co.uk - the Engagement team are here exclusively to help you..

I am all about safe & economical…

I am all about safe & economical driving but how are you expected to improve when the app or website does not tell you why you are being knocked down on your overall score.
Surely this would be a tool to identify where you need to improve.

I had read in previous reviews on this site and your answer was rather flippant, to receive "ultra drive status" you only need to score 85% or more and that it does not detect speed which I have now found is untrue.
If you do want answer a review, please be truthful.

This is supposed a tool to improve driving standards or is it just a tool for your employer to beat you with when they choose too.
I have much more to say, but will await your/ Lightfoot reply

Hello Terence, your fleet managers will have access to the Lightfoot management portal, which gives a more detailed breakdown of your driving and the scores. If you speak to your fleet management they should be able to guide you in the right direction to help you improve your scores.

Speed can be detected by Lightfoot and reported back to management, depending on a fleet's settings. However, the Lightfoot score is not based on speed but by how efficiently the driver got to that speed. Your score is made up of your time in the most efficient green zone, minus any time in red and minus 0.5% for any Lightfoot penalties. You'll hear two prompts from your in-cab device, letting you know that you may not be driving at optimal efficiency, before receiving any penalties that affect your score.

Our intention is that Lightfoot should be a tool to encourage more efficient driving through positively motivating drivers to access their own driving behaviour information (ie their score) and rewarding good driving through our range of prize draws. This is how we present it to all our customers, but ultimately we can't control how they use it. Please contact us at support@lightfoot.co.uk if you have anything further to ask.

Good App

Good App, makes you drive safer naturally, the odd small prize is a great incentive

My only gripe, is you can't see how and why youve scored what you've scored, that would be beneficial to to see to help improve your own score.

Hi Dean, thanks for your feedback. Your managers are able to see your driving in greater detail via the Lightfoot management portal, which they can then go through the finer details with you, if you feel you would like to improve.

I enjoy the challenge of being 100% driver stats, but it gripes that pickers get weekly payments of much more than our drivers get at Tesco.

Hi Brian, unfortunately the Tesco pickers have competitions that are just for them and funded by Tesco, whereas the Lightfoot competitions are for all of Lightfoot's drivers and funded by us.

Very rarely win

Very rarely win. Have discussed with colleagues and they have same issue. If anyone wins it's usually £3. Really disappointing. Why should we even bother entering

Just like the normal lottery there is no guarantee that you will win, but we do ensure we always offer a 1 in 9 chance of winning no matter how many people are eligible. With a chance to win up to £100 every week, we do recommend that you keep entering as you could be the next big winner.

Think it's set up for a manual. If I accelerate on a slip road going onto a motorway I get a 'Go steady'. However, if I accelerate, but take foot off briefly as if I'm changing gear it's fine!
