Parking cost too high. I think 90 DKK is too high price specially if you have season card.

Disappointing Experience at LEGOLAND Billund – Concern About Staff Attitude and Rigid Policy.
After flying over 10 hours across continents, we had high expectations for this visit — not only because of the park’s global reputation, but because of your powerful motto:
“Only the best is good enough.”
In terms of architecture and creativity, I sincerely believe this standard is reflected throughout the park. However, when it comes to human service and staff attitude, we were deeply disappointed.
On the evening of July 26th, at around 6:00 PM, my children and I arrived at the Flying Eagle ride, only to be told the attraction had already closed. We noticed that the last roller coaster had not yet departed, and there were clearly six empty seats visible on the ride. We kindly asked the staff member (a male) if my child could join, since the ride had not started and there was space available.
To our dismay, we were met with a blunt and dismissive response: “Rules are rules.” The staff member refused our request without any flexibility even he saw my kids are crying , and his tone was impatient, loud, and frankly rude. My child, who had been excited all day for this ride, was left in tears, and I was heartbroken as a parent.
I fully understand the need for rules and closing times. But rules are made by people — and people have compassion. It was not the rule itself that upset us, but the inhumane and cold way it was delivered. At a park built on children’s dreams and creativity, such behavior feels out of place and unacceptable.

Very convenient to the park, but that is where the perks end.
-The food at breakfast is TERRIBLE, the eggs are literally slop of water, bread is fine, you have to wait online just to get a glass of water...
-The front desk staff is incredibly rude. Our room was not serviced for two days. They accused us of leaving the sign on, like we are stupid and can't not read a sign? We know not to leave the sign on. Every day we were out for the room for hours, would see the cleaners in the hallway, and they just skipped our room. We had to BEG for soap and towels and deal with employees calling us dumb.
-NO AC in this hotel and they will give you one tiny fan from 1982. It was a heat wave and they are not prepared to help families with young children in a sweltering room.
-The restaurant hostess was so awful we skipped our reservation
-the fitness center smells and the mats have not been washed in years. Work out and catch ring worm or some other disease at your own risk- nothing about it looks healthy or clean
Other than one nice bar tender here, every employee looks sloppy and miserable. Seriously, the early park entry to stay here is not even worth it. There are no rides open until the park opens anyways, all that is available is to walk around mini land.
We felt the park employees were nice and the Lego house was magical, but the Lego hotel is an over priced dump with sour employees. Save your money, there is no magic or fun here.

Legoland Billerud is highly overrated. Might be worth it for a 6-8 year old diehard lego fan but otherwise would not recommend it.
Also: We were appalled by our treatment and the predatory nature of Legoland as a destination.
Example: We arrived by car and the car parking outside the hotel was full. Not accustomed to Billund, we kindly asked the reception if there were additional car parking available. We were given a direction to a nearby parking and advised to use the QR code specified at the hotel. We followed the instructions, parked our car and paid the parking fee only to find, at the end of the day, that our car had been fined €130. Why? The QR code was not valid at that particular parking but at the parking 25 meters away instead (both which fit the description). Now mistakes happen and normally you solve them together. But no. The hotel staff had no intention of helping us and neither had the predatory Europark who showed no intention what-so-ever of helping us. They were happy we paid double fees (parking + fine) and the money intended to be spent on a lego kit for our 6 year old son had to be spent to Europark.
Shameful experience. I will never visit again.

Legoland Billund is supposed to be a magical experience for families, but unfortunately, there are some serious shortcomings that made our visit frustrating. First of all, it is absolutely bizarre that a resort of this scale, located in Denmark of all places—where warm weather and sunshine are rare—doesn’t provide proper indoor seating areas for meals. When it’s cold or raining (which it often is), there’s hardly anywhere warm to sit down and enjoy your food without being disturbed by the weather. It’s as if comfort was never part of the design brief.
Adding to the frustration, the restaurants inside the resort charge 169 DKK for a child as young as 3 years old, even though a toddler barely eats more than a slice of pizza or a few French fries. It feels like we’re being pushed into overpaying, regardless of our children’s age or appetite. There’s no flexibility, no understanding—just a flat rate that doesn’t make sense for a small child.
Another major issue was the lack of gender-separated toilets in some areas. I was shocked to find myself having to use shared toilet facilities with men, which left no space or privacy for women. It made me deeply uncomfortable. In a family-oriented park, this should never be the case. Privacy and safety should be priorities, not afterthoughts.
Legoland is clearly doing well financially—tickets, food, and merchandise are all premium-priced—but choosing not to invest in basic indoor eating facilities is just disappointing. Instead of focusing on PR and convincing people how great the place is, maybe they should listen and actually improve what matters. Families come here for joy and comfort, not to freeze while eating or feel uncomfortable using the bathroom.
I sincerely hope they take these things into serious consideration, because the current setup falls short of the standard you’d expect from such a globally known brand.

Booked the castle hotel for mid April 2025 on a non refundable basis. I accept the principle of non refundable, but in February 2025 we had to cancel our hotel because the airline cancelled our flight (which we proved). There were no other flights and despite giving 2 months notice for them to fill the room, they
would not refund us.
Contractually correct maybe, morally disgraceful.

I visited Legoland with my family last summer, early July. We were lucky enough that there were not way too many people there, but still more than enough, and yes, there were some waiting. But the kids had a lot of fun, still. I couldn´t help noticing the too toy trains that one could sit in just in the beginning of the park. Can the staff names these red trains? They had a distinctive sound, playing a major third interval. While moving towards each other, the train sounds blended into each other. I recorded this on my phone. And now I am writing a piece based on these moving trains. Thankfully the Norwegian composers` fund also wanted to support this project. Thanks for the experience!

Outdated and expensive. Good for a day if kids are under 10. The rides are okayish but you need to buy the fast pass to be able to use them. Would not go again.

Odd reading the many bad reviews - we went in late August and absolutely loved it. Park larger than expected, some of the rides were fantastic and up to adult level of rollercoaster, loads for kids, no long queues (30 mins the longest we saw). Suspect this in large part due to going when Danish kids were all back at school.
Stayed at Lalandia, also brilliant - fantastic water park.
Agree with comments re lack of healthy food, & prices, eg £5+ for a kids ice cream, but this is Denmark, it's not cheap.
Lego House was well worth a day-trip, and we had 3 days in Legoland itself.
Knowing/understanding the various buses (free to/from airport for eg) was important.
In short - it needs some planning in when to go, what to do when there (working out where and when the bus was at the airport for eg), and what's walkable/what isn't. But we - 2 parents, 8 yr old, 10 yr old - enjoyed it so much we'll likely be back.

I was very disappointed. Opens at 10, closes at 18. Bought tickets on-line but still waited to get in. Lines for rides were also crazy long and for the price it was just unfair that my niece couldn't get on all the rides. I thought it was a total rip-off to pay extra to avoid the lines. You should shame yourselves. We got there at 10. Getting around the park was also difficult even with the map. The restaurants in the park were awful expensive. The good thing is that the rides my niece got on were great. That would be where the 1 star comes in.

I‘ve just returned from our daytrip to Legoland Denmark. I am really disappointed. In fact I feel kind of ripped off. We booked the tickets online and nonetheless it added up to 2500 DKK which is quite a sum of money even for good earners from Germany. Even if you had the goal to use as many rides as possible, you could have only used around 5-6. The waiting times where quite long -> 35-55 minutes. And, unfortunately, you had to wait the same amount of time if you wanted something to eat or drink. It were just too many people for the available facilities, be it the rides or the food stands. I really don’t understand why they let so many people into the park - because it adds up to an unpleasant visit. I really feel betrayed and robbed of a nice day off and even worse is the stupid feeling, that I did even pay for that. I would have kind of been fine with waiting at the rides for some time 30 min. But what made it really unpleasant was the fact that you couldn’t even enjoy the rest of the things, e.g. food stands or coffee shops, because it was just too crowded and even more so connected with waiting and waiting and waiting. I don’t think that me or my family will return and I will and definitely cannot recommend this park, out if my experience from today’s visit, to anyone else.

The anticipation of going to legoland was the best part of our experience.
We visited Denmark for our holiday, and of course, with a kid who is into Lego, we had to visit legoland. A decision we almost instantly regretted.
First of all the tickets are really expensive. But okay I get it. Or I thought I did, until we entered the park.
It’s so so busy. And yes, we visited during the summer holiday, but we also visited other busy locations in Denmark (including Tivoli) and still we were overwhelmed. You will never have enough time to go in a decent amount of attractions for the money you spent to get in the park. Lines are too long, not only for attractions but also to get some food (and why are there almost no vegetarian options?).
The park itself and the rides felt quite old. For the amount of money they asked for the entree, you expect that there are rides at least worth remembering, worth waiting for in line. But there weren’t. Also, I didn’t saw how many attractions were connected to Lego.
Concluding: don’t go there, it’s a tourist trap. If you wanna spent that amount of money for Legoland, I personally think you can better spent it on getting a really cool Legoset and build it at home. It probably will be a lot less disappointing.
P.s. I do wanna say: the employees we encountered were really nice. It’s something…

Deliberately creating class differences an honoring rich people is unacceptable an not within the spirit in Denmark
This year is awful. They are squeezing visitors into one canoe like canned tuna - 5-6 adults into one boat meant for 4 people max. Zero security and terrible experience. We paid for unlimited photos and it was waste of money because on all photos we are with some other strangers. We asked to be seated only ourselves in canoe (3 people) and our request was ignored, they squeeze people in to get more people through at once. Not recommended at all.

Way way overpriced.
Wait in long lines for everything, whether it is food coffee, ice cream or rides.
While we were there, four rides broke down.
We waited a full hour for a ride with an estimated waiting time of 15 min.
Anything that has to do with lego it looks like they stopped maintaning in the 1980's.
The deposit machine for the lease of strollers didnt repay the deposit and the staff did not care that the machine malfunctioned.
I will never ever visit again and I strongly advice anyone to spend their time and money somewhere else.
I would give 0 stars if i could.

The resort in itself is not bad. Interesting Lego creations, quite a lot of them quite dated and lost the original colour. Unfortunately the Customer Service in this place is to be rated 0. RUDE is most accurate word to describe some, not all luckily, employees in this place. Specially considering the entrance ticket price. Would not recommend the visit to anyone who is expecting good customer service.

Reply from LEGOLAND Billund Resort
To much people which means you had to wait 20-30 minutes for the most of the attractions, to expensive for example 45 dkk for a coffee,.not even talk about the price for the entrance and the accommodation and the craziest thing was that all the attractions and stores closed at 18 but the park at 20. The excuse was that we have to empty the park.
