1st year with TLG man, oh man. I was asked to leave a review multiple times, but I said I would only do it if certain goals were hit, and I’d have no problem leaving the best reviews for TLG all over social media and today was the time! These guys helped our small family business grow so big we literally had to shut down for months because we could not keep up with the demand. My husband and I worked very hard to start and grow our business, so every penny that was coming out of it felt like the world was gonna end for me lol but I pulled the trigger and paid TLG for their services, and I don’t regret a single bit of it. If you own and run a business, don’t run the marketing yourself, dude. It’s not worth wasting your hard earned money. Let the professionals handle it.
5/5 Stars boom, deserved!!

A Financial Nightmare – My Cautionary Tale with The Leading Group
My experience with The Leading Group (TLG) has been nothing short of a financial catastrophe, and I want to share my story to help others make informed decisions.
When I initially invested with TLG, my goal was simple: to create passive income to cover planned medical expenses in the future. Unfortunately, this decision resulted in an unbelievable -155% ROI, leaving me with a staggering loss of $11,788.93 in just eight months.
The bulk of my losses stemmed from their mismanagement, including relentless advertising fees that produced zero results. To make matters worse, the account manager assigned to me operated in a time zone 14 hours ahead of mine, with English as a secondary language—making communication both difficult and inefficient.
One particularly disappointing experience was in Q4 2023, typically the most profitable quarter for businesses. Instead of seeing growth, TLG managed to lose $4,341.43 in that quarter alone, primarily due to poor decision-making.
At one point, TLG suggested I pay additional monthly fees to “maintain” their service—essentially asking me to spend more money to keep losing money. I declined this absurd proposal, and to their credit, they acknowledged my concerns. They graciously adjusted my negative ROI from -155% to -147%, reducing my losses by $1,700. While this was a kind gesture, it didn’t change my overall feelings or erase the damage done.
Recently, I received an email from a TLG representative named Casey, claiming that if I had stayed with them, my store would now be making no less than $10,000 per month. Frankly, I don’t believe this claim for a second. Even if it were true, I estimate I would still be spending $12,500 monthly to make that $10,000, leaving me at a loss.
To be clear, my purpose in sharing this review is not to harm TLG but to provide an honest account of my experience. I’ve updated this review after receiving a reply from the company, and I will not be intimidated into removing it. Both I and platforms like Trustpilot have documentation to back up my statements.
My takeaway? If I had simply left my investment in a basic savings account—or even stashed it under my mattress—I’d be in a far better position today. I hope others considering TLG take my experience into account before making their decision.
Final Thoughts: This review is based on facts and my personal experience with The Leading Group. My only intention is to inform potential investors so they can make educated decisions. For me, engaging with TLG resulted in an undeniable financial loss, and I cannot, in good faith, recommend this company to anyone.
Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial burden—look elsewhere.

I am now coming up on my 3rd year with with leading group. When I first joined back then I could tell the team was still new with putting their things together. Process was slow and tasks were getting done not to my level of speed I wanted them. I run multiple business and whoever I work with I need them to move as fast as me but unfortunately that wasn't with these guys but what I liked was things were getting done and deadlines were met. ive worked with multiple other agencies and I can call bs right away but with leading group I stack around because I knew I was not feed BS. To keep it short and simple Around the 2nd year I saw a huge upgrade in their service, they now have multiple trained employees for almost every task back then 4 tasks would be handeld by one person which caused the issues. Speed, performance, results, communication is top level now I get updates and response in matter of minutes. Special thanks to the team at leading group and my account manager Raymond.

I feel strongly that the fee this business charges for store setup is way too high, and not worth it. There are many other companies out there charging much less for the same services. After discontinuing my business with this company and receiving a partial refund of $2k, which was all they were willing to offer, I still feel I vastly overpaid. I have been working with Shopify store managers I hired directly at a low hourly rate, since they're based abroad, and have already found their work to be of higher quality. We have researched many more quality products as well. I wish I had saved my money and tried this out myself. I do not feel like The Leading Group was doing anything that special or value-add for me with such a high startup cost, and then such a high monthly fee. Thankfully I quit before the monthly fee started. I would amend my review if the startup cost had been lower. Now that I see what these services entail and what they are worth, I really did overpay for a store template that was cloned for me, and for a store with minimal success, which mostly only offered one single product, and had typos and bad styling throughout.
Not a scam but just keep in mind they don’t include your tax responsibilities when presenting potential profits. Shopify reports all sales to the IRS. You’ll be responsible for sales tax on all sales and federal taxes on all profits. Once factored in, the profits are very minimal, if any. Company is legit and their people are very professional, just not worth it when everything is factored in.
I used this company to help sell products (hired them, really) via an Instagram ad. I initially mentioned that I'd like to make an extra couple thousand dollars, per month. They said that seemed reasonable, after a start up period. I paid a few thousand dollars to them, registered a website, created an Ali Express account, paid for Slack, etc... all the things I was supposed to do. We set up a TikTok business account and I paid for ads.
I had an original "account manager," who researched products and (allegedly) tested different marketing campaigns. I had a few sales, but nothing significant... this was after a month or two, maybe. Not totally sure on the timeline. Communication was sporadic.
After a while, nothing was happening with the store. No sales, no communication from the AM.
I was given a new account manager after about six months... he was very nice and optimistic, spoke about trying new products and new campaigns. But really, nothing major happened. I think I sold a few things. The second manager was more engaged, though... but having a few people add a product to a shopping cart, then not buy anything, doesn't really sound like a successful store.
After approximately 10 months, I'd say I spent about $10,000 for the service, the ads, buying and fulfilling the products, the Slack and Shopify accounts.
And I think the store probably did less than $1,000 in total business. So, spent $10,000 to do less than $1,000 in revenue... not profit. Revenue.
Super bummed. It sounded too good to be true, so shame on me for falling for it. I wanted to be patient but I was tired to paying for the TikTok ads each month.
And, in a show of good faith, they didn't charge me the monthly $500 that they're supposed to collect (since there was no activity on the store, they said they didn't make me pay).
EDIT: I'm updating my review, based on the feedback from TLG.
I had an account for almost a year, not 3 months or 6 months. I was pretty patient.
Based on our initial Instagram chats, I was told that breaking even, or even turning a profit in six months, was very doable.
They included screenshots of Slack conversations from APRIL of 2023. Almost a year ago.. nothing from the last six months, when I kept asking for updates or when I was given a new account manager. Or when I was told that they would 'investigate' why the store wasn't performing, then I wouldn't get a response.

UPDATE: If you would like even more reason to not work with this company, read their replies to THEIR customer’s reviews. Not only is this harassment, they continue to lie. They did not refund me $4,000, they only refunded me $2,000 after I told them I was reporting them to the BBB. I also have proof of how they provided me with false information in order to get me to sign a contract with them. I had to “micromanage” my Account Manager because he kept forgetting to update my shop, products, and left ads running on a product that he had already told me “failed testing”. Also, it was in my contract that I paid them $6,000 to handle Customer Service. So by them admitting in their reply that customers were being directed to me for support when I was given ZERO visibility to what was going on with my shop proves that they breached their contract. Maybe they should spend less time harassing the people they manipulated into signing contracts with them and focus on learning how to do what they say they do.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! PLEASE let me be a cautionary tale for you. They have no idea what they are doing. I have been told lie after lie and been delivered so much misinformation. I have been working with The Leading Group since August 2023 they launched my shop a little less than a month after in September 2023. As of now, my total expenses have been greater than $12,600 and they have only been able to generate my shop a total of $2,520.93 in TOTAL SALES. That puts me at a LOSS of OVER $10,000. I consistently had to proactively reach out to my Account Manager for updates, no one communicated with me any type of strategy, and they kept gas lighting me like it was something I was doing wrong and that I was trying to be "too hands-on". I had to be hands-on or nothing would have been accomplished. They cannot communicate their strategy for generating sales simply because THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE!
I reached out to them with all of my documentation of every event and outreach that took place throughout my time working with them. They DID NOT uphold their end of the contract in regard to "1:1 Account Management" or "Customer Support". I had several customers reach out directly to me stating they never received their products. When I sent them this documentation I requested a refund of my initial investment given the fact that they did not uphold their end of the contract. They AGAIN gaslit me saying this wasn't true, but they would assign me a new Account Manager.
I'm simply writing this review to make sure NO ONE ELSE falls victim to The Leading Group. They are a scam and I have all the receipts to prove it.

I first started working with The Leading Group November 13, 2022.I broke even within a few months, and was seeing significant results. Everything from finding the products, marketing the products, and order fulfillment was awesome. The results much exceeded my expectations and I am very glad that I chose to work with The Leading Group. Something notable was the communication and the customer service, they have the BEST customer service. If you are looking to scale or start an online e commerce business this is the perfect place. Thank You to the leading group, I am very happy I chose to work with this excellent group.
-update- Sales went down for the past two weeks, I hope they improve over time.
Joined leading group 4 months ago to run my store ads. I’ve worked with so many agencies before and no one was on able to do it better than them. As soon as I signed up the first thing I got was a whole remap of my website and let me tell you just by looking at the re design of my store I was instantly able to tell these guys were it. We started running ads a week after and sales started to come in. Unfortunately I had problems with my old supplier and couldn’t get orders to ship out. The leading group came in clutch and offered me their own supplier right away with $2 cheaper than my old supplier!!! So far I am very happy, thank you leading group.
The 2nd week after hiring this company I was contacted by the website starter. She spoke broken English and it was difficult to communicate. Took about 2 or 3 weeks for the first item and the site to be completed. It made 0 sales. Took about 3 weeks longer to build a new site and new product which didn't make enough revenue to cover the advertisements (600+mo). The company also charges minimal $500 monthly. So your sales after tax, shipping, cost, and ads needs to be around 2k to make a profit. Its a head ache at best, but you are looking for a quick way to spend 7k of Savings, give it a shot
I joined the leading group back in August after speaking to a representative. When I had the initial meeting with The Leading Group, I came prepared with a list of questions and the representative answered all of them with patience. I ended up deciding to invest in 2 Shopify stores.
Be aware as soon as your check is cashed you are on your own and the communication stops. I was told that “most” of their customers make between 6-10k a month PER STORE after about 3 months. They did tell me this number can’t be guaranteed but that it would be close to it and I wouldn’t be disappointed. Well, the disappointment started shortly after I started.
Its not exactly hands off, you have to set up the entire shopify store yourself, and when its completed TLG will input the product they chose for you. I was told that ONCE a week the rep’s in charge of my store would have a phone meeting with me to go over sales and protocol. This NEVER happened. Not ONCE. They never reviewed with me products that were being sold or told me before advertising was billed.
Over the course of 3 months I lost about 15k.
The products being sold are all dropshipped from China. I was told the items ship between 7-10 days of order being placed. This was a LIE. I had angry customers blowing up my phone and email for weeks. Many of which did not have their items shipped for over 3 weeks so I can understand their frustration. Also I didnt know that my personal information would be accessible to them, as I was told TLG manages the stores for you.
TLG assigns you representatives for each store and the “communication occurs on an app called Slack. That you also have to pay for. And the communication is rare. Often taking days before I got a reply.
Do yourself a favor and stay clear of The Leading Group.
REPLY to below response:
If you do your research the negative reviews for The Leading Group are all consistent to what I had stated. When I said I was dissatisfied and wanted to shut down my stores because I was putting out more money than I was making every month, they offered no resolution. But I am not surprised by the reply one bit. They contacted me Saturday and offered me a “reasonable refund” if I deleted my review. I didn’t trust this given their reputation, especially since they were asking that I had remove my review BEFORE the company decided what they will refund me.
Unfortunately, I wish I did better research before doing business with TLG. Hard lesson learned.

TLG is a great company. I’ve been scammed by others in another automation sector so it’s really nice to be working with manager Jake and his team.
In the beginning, things were slow and going through a process of some trials. But Jake has been great with me throughout the whole process, and now my store is seeing some sales and will soon scale.
Jake personally helps and is always responsive to my questions and needs. This company really is hands on and cares about their clients success. Will definitely recommend them for all your Shopify automation needs.
I started working with the leading group abt 8 months ago. I only have good things to say, I think this was a good investment. Before them, I worked with some other agency to do this with, but I finally fired them. I decided to come work with the leading group and my sales are actually really good. I wish I came here first rather than going to the other one. So far I’m very happy and I love the team here! AMAZING because they actually care.

I knew I always wanted to own a business but also knew that I didn't have time. I came across TLG and did some research and had my first call and I knew this was an investment that I was willing to make. I work with an account manager name Lawrence that understands the business, and ensures that we win together. I am not in this alone I have a real team and it feels amazing. Excited about what the future has for us!
They have been transparent, easy to work with and delivered on their promises and expectations.
I’ve been with the Lending Group for almost 4 months now. I was a little skeptical at first like anyone would be because there’s a lot of frauds out there. But this company is the real deal. My account manager Zamiel is always there to answer my question and he has found a home run product that’s doing very well for my store. I also want to thank RJ for getting me started with the process. The customer service with this company is second to none.
Things are moving, but very slowly. I feel like my store is not getting the right amount of attention to really produce like it could.
Like the three other people I've spoken to who have done business with The Leading Group, I was not pleased with the service. After leaving a less-than-stellar review here, The Leading Group contacted me on Instagram. The first person I spoke to became hostile and was unwilling to help or refund my money, which I still prefer. After some time, another person reached out to me on Instagram and offered to help. They were much more pleasant to deal with and got things rolling.
Soon, I had ten times the sales I had in the previous six months. Which is a good start but far from what I was promised and expected. They contacted me again to see if I would update this review. This is it. I will give them four stars when I recoup my money. Due to the very rough start and lack of communication and accountability, a five-star review is out of the question at this point.
I just want to say that this ecommerce agency rocks! I worked with them for three months, in the beginning sales were a bit slow and I was a bit worried, but they told me that the store was still in the testing phase and I should be patient.
I'm in the 3rd month and they've totally transformed the store, sales went up in the middle of the second month and i'm making more than i could imagine, they've totally nailed it!
The team was friendly and patient with me, which I really appreciated. If you're looking for help with your online business or you're looking to start, these guys are the real deal!
Initially, it wasn't great, I was a bit frustrated in the beginning because of a few unsuccessful tests, but as of late, we've found a product that we're scaling up at the moment and the results are positive, Good results cost money tho so understand more money equals better results. I'm happy with the direction we're going now and looking forward to more success as we move along
Thank you Leading Group for introducing me to dropshipping with profit. This team is amazing in finding the winning product. They complete the R&D until platforms work for their clients benefit. An awesome team who has helped me all the way. I can’t wait to see the upscaling of a brand in my store. Although it’s not a get rich quick scheme it shows great potentials at making good profit.
